Acadia Yurts ist auch ideal für große Reisegruppen mit Unterkünften für bis zu 34 Personen an einem Ort.

Eine Jurte ist eine zeltähnliche kreisförmige Stoffstruktur mit einem Holzgitterrahmen, der von den Nomadenstämmen in Asien stammt. Diese dauerhaften, farbenfrohen Strukturen haben dicke Außenwände aus Segeltuch, die eine reflektierende Isolierung und eine hocheffiziente Wärmepumpen- / Wechselstromeinheit enthalten, sodass Sie sich zu jeder Jahreszeit wohlfühlen können. Jurten werden schnell zu einem neuen Urlaubserlebnis, das Urlauber in den USA von Klippenansichten in Kalifornien bis zu Skihütten in Colorado genießen. Fantastic little place

We had a great visit to Acadia and this clamping yurt was the perfect middle ground between camping and getting a hotel. The space was clean, bed was comfy and hosts were very communicative, but not hovering.

Staying on the "quieter" side of Mt Desert Island, gave us the opportunity to hike new parts of Acadia with views just as spectacular as Cadillac Mt. ( Mt. St. Sauvier and Acadia Mt). The yurts were a great compromise for the 2 young adults wanting camping in the woods and us elders preferring a bed and kitchen. THANKS Acadia Yurts!

Peaceful and relaxing

We loved our stay. The yurt was clean, everything accessible to make our stay easy. Short drive to Bar Harbor for dinner and shopping. Short drive to Acadia Park. 10/10 we would absolutely stay again. I have to say that the tankless water heater was greatly appreciated when there were 4 of us showering to get ready.

Great stay!! Cabin is clean and well stocked. Great location with turkey, deer and waterfowl everywhere! Several excellent restaurants nearby for your dining pleasure. Wonderful base for Acadia NP and Bar Harbor!

The yurt was very clean, and it was such a fun place to stay! We were only there for 3 nights, and with so much to do in the area, we just didn't have time to take full advantage of everything that Acadia Yurts has to offer (fire pit, wellness center, etc), but we'll definitely plan another (longer) stay there!

We had the most amazing week staying in this yurt! The space was cozy, peaceful, and just what we needed to unwind and enjoy nature. The owners were incredibly lovely and accommodating, so friendly, and welcoming from the moment we arrived. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. We truly couldn’t have been more excited to be there. Our two kids loved it! Everything was perfect, and we’re already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommend!

Aaron is a Maine native. He was born and raised across the bridge in Trenton and grew up attending local Bar Harbor schools. He has worked in the restaurant industry for 20+ years beginning as a prep cook in high school then moving toward general manager. Aaron's favorite extracurricular activity is learning all he can about Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. As often as he can, he trains locally and loves sharing this passion with others.

Karen is a transplant. Originally from Chicago she made her way to Maine in 2009 and fell in love immediately. In Acadia she enjoys hiking, trail running, yoga, and long walks on the carriage roads. Karen has been teaching yoga locally for over 6 years and now brings her practice to the Wellness Center (located on site at Acadia Yurts). Karen is also a licensed massage therapist and offers services onsite (pending availability).

As a couple we have done quite a bit of traveling and through that we have narrowed down the particular way we like to travel. The biggest factor for us is having a furnished kitchen in order to prepare health minded foods to nourish our bodies and support all our outdoor activities. The idea for Acadia Yurts has been brewing for quite some time. Friends of ours live off the grid in a yurt and we greatly appreciate the rustic, romantic feel of the yurt but wanted some of the comforts of home; running water, heat, electricity. From there Acadia Yurts was born. We truly hope you enjoy our property and your time here as much as we do.
