Acadia Yurts bietet Besuchern die einzigartigste Art, auf Mount Desert Island zu bleiben. Sieben spaßige, umweltfreundliche Jurten und zwei winzige Häuser bringen Sie der Natur so nahe wie Camping und bieten alle Annehmlichkeiten von zu Hause. Das Acadia Yurts befindet sich auf einem 5 Hektar großen, bewaldeten Grundstück inmitten des Acadia-Nationalparks und bietet einen ruhigen Rückzugsort für Ihre Gruppe (bis zu 4 Gäste pro 24 'Jurte, 6 Gäste für die 30' Jurte oder 2 Gäste pro Tiny House). Acadia Yurts ist auch ideal für große Reisegruppen mit Unterkünften für bis zu 34 Personen an einem Ort.

Eine Jurte ist eine zeltähnliche kreisförmige Stoffstruktur mit einem Holzgitterrahmen, der von den Nomadenstämmen in Asien stammt. Diese dauerhaften, farbenfrohen Strukturen haben dicke Außenwände aus Segeltuch, die eine reflektierende Isolierung und eine hocheffiziente Wärmepumpen- / Wechselstromeinheit enthalten, sodass Sie sich zu jeder Jahreszeit wohlfühlen können. Jurten werden schnell zu einem neuen Urlaubserlebnis, das Urlauber in den USA von Klippenansichten in Kalifornien bis zu Skihütten in Colorado genießen. Very memorable!

This was my family's first time staying in a yurt, and we were very happy with our experience. Karen and Aaron designed the entire place with an eye toward comfort and convenience. The kitchen was equipped with every accessory we could want. I also appreciated the board games we were able to borrow from the Red Barn. My husband enjoyed the flotation session in the Wellness Center, too. I highly recommend Acadia Yurts!

Perfect Acadia Location

The yurt, in addition to just being fun, was extremely clean and had everything we needed. The location was 30 minutes or less to everything on Mount Desert Island, but much quieter than the east side. Can't recommend enough and will certainly be back next time we're visiting Acadia!

We had a great stay in the Yurts. My wife and I stayed in the yurt that has the loft with our 3 kids. We had plenty of room and the kids loved having room to run around and play. Amazing stay at Acadia Yurts. If you are looking for the quiet relaxation of camping, but want a bit of “glamping” instead- consider staying here. Very clean, quiet, quaint and comfortable. Zu Gast bei Karen Roper

Aaron is an Maine native. He was born and raised across the bridge in Trenton and grew up attending local Bar Harbor schools. He has worked in the restaurant industry for the past 15+ years beginning as a prep cook in high school then moving toward general manager. Aaron's favorite extracurricular activity is learning all he can about Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. As often as he can, he trains locally and loves sharing this passion with others.

Karen is a transplant. Originally from Chicago she made her way to Maine in 2009 and fell in love immediately. In Acadia she enjoys hiking, trail running, yoga, and long walks on the carriage roads. Karen has been teaching yoga locally for over 6 years and now brings her practice to the Wellness Center (located on site at Acadia Yurts). Karen is also a licensed massage therapist and offers services onsite.

As a couple we have done quite a bit of traveling and through that we have narrowed down the particular way we like to travel. The biggest factor for us is having a furnished kitchen in order to prepare health minded foods to nourish our bodies and support all our outdoor activities. The idea for Acadia Yurts has been brewing for quite some time. Friends of ours live off the grid in a yurt and we greatly appreciate the rustic, romantic feel of the yurt but wanted some of the comforts of home- running water, heat, electricity. From there Acadia Yurts was born. We deeply hope you enjoy our home as much as we do!!
