Das Acadia Yurts befindet sich auf einem 5 Hektar großen, bewaldeten Grundstück inmitten des Acadia-Nationalparks und bietet einen ruhigen Rückzugsort für Ihre Gruppe (bis zu 4 Gäste pro 24 'Jurte, 6 Gäste für die 30' Jurte oder 2 Gäste pro Tiny House). Acadia Yurts ist auch ideal für große Reisegruppen mit Unterkünften für bis zu 34 Personen an einem Ort.

Eine Jurte ist eine zeltähnliche kreisförmige Stoffstruktur mit einem Holzgitterrahmen, der von den Nomadenstämmen in Asien stammt. Diese dauerhaften, farbenfrohen Strukturen haben dicke Außenwände aus Segeltuch, die eine reflektierende Isolierung und eine hocheffiziente Wärmepumpen- / Wechselstromeinheit enthalten, sodass Sie sich zu jeder Jahreszeit wohlfühlen können. Jurten werden schnell zu einem neuen Urlaubserlebnis, das Urlauber in den USA von Klippenansichten in Kalifornien bis zu Skihütten in Colorado genießen. Acadia is wonderfully dog-friendly, with many nearby trails, parks, and even restaurants welcoming pups, so we always encourage guests to bring their dogs along for the adventure! Because the yurts are canvas structures in a new environment with unfamiliar sounds and smells, even very well-behaved dogs can sometimes become anxious and bark when left alone for extended periods, which can impact neighboring guests. Short outings are absolutely fine, but we hope our pet-friendly guests can enjoy experiencing Acadia together with their furry companions whenever possible! 🐶

Our stay was fantastic!! The yurt was exactly as described - so spacious! It was the perfect amount of room to make some meals at home, have two beds, and even get up to some pumpkin carving! It was so close to southwest harbor and Acadia, but in a more private spot - location couldn’t be beat. The free firewood at the fire pit was so convenient - and we were the only folks there every night. Plus Karen and Aaron the owners are so nice. Can’t wait to go back!

Above and beyond all our expectations. And so clean!!!! I could have stayed much longer. The kitchen had everything I could have wanted, a nice cutting board, nice sharp knives, even a really nice french press. It was a perfect location, very secluded and quiet. We will be making a trip here on an annual basis on how much we loved it! Aaron was a great, friendly host, always smiling!

The property is peaceful and quiet. There are plenty of trees for shade and sunny spots as well. The yurt had everything we needed. The owners were very kind and helpful. Arcadia National Park is close by. The town has two lovely bakeries. We saw a wonderful murder-mystery at the Arcadia Theatre too. Saw plenty of wildlife including a flock of turkeys just up the road. Enjoyable stay in a lovely location

Glamping with spa access

Beautiful and thoughtful place to stay. I felt close to nature and my partner didn’t have to go without access to any comfort. Our visit in early May meant rain was likely, so we planned on and got to enjoy the wellness center which was excellent. We also brought our dog along thanks to one of the pet-friendly yurts!

Aaron is a Maine native. He was born and raised across the bridge in Trenton and grew up attending local Bar Harbor schools. He has worked in the restaurant industry for 20+ years beginning as a prep cook in high school then moving toward general manager. Aaron's favorite extracurricular activity is learning all he can about Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. As often as he can, he trains locally and loves sharing this passion with others.

Karen is a transplant. Originally from Chicago she made her way to Maine in 2009 and fell in love immediately. In Acadia she enjoys hiking, trail running, yoga, and long walks on the carriage roads. Karen has been teaching yoga locally for over 6 years and now brings her practice to the Wellness Center (located on site at Acadia Yurts). Karen is also a licensed massage therapist and offers services onsite (pending availability).

As a couple we have done quite a bit of traveling and through that we have narrowed down the particular way we like to travel. The biggest factor for us is having a furnished kitchen in order to prepare health minded foods to nourish our bodies and support all our outdoor activities. The idea for Acadia Yurts has been brewing for quite some time. Friends of ours live off the grid in a yurt and we greatly appreciate the rustic, romantic feel of the yurt but wanted some of the comforts of home; running water, heat, electricity. From there Acadia Yurts was born. We truly hope you enjoy our property and your time here as much as we do.
