Genießen Sie alles, was der Acadia-Nationalpark zu bieten hat !! Vergessen Sie nicht, dass September und Oktober auch in Acadia zwei der besten Monate sind! Keine Menschenmassen ... nur schönes Herbstwetter und wunderschöne Landschaft. Wir sind nicht weit von all der natürlichen Schönheit von Acadia entfernt, und es gibt keine Zeit wie im Herbst zum Wandern. Wir befinden uns auf der bekannten Insel Mount Desert auf der "ruhigen Seite". Wir sind weg von der Hektik von Bar Harbor. Kajakfahren zum berühmten Bass Harbor Lighthouse ist direkt vor unserer Küste. Entspannen Sie auf unserer Terrasse und genießen Sie den Garten.
Das malerische Dorf Southwest Harbor liegt in der Nähe. Nehmen Sie die nahe gelegenen Fähren zu allen umliegenden Inseln. Einige der einfachsten und schönsten Wanderungen in Acadia sind nicht weit entfernt.
Wir haben eine voll ausgestattete Küche für diejenigen, die gerne kochen. Unser Ferienhaus ist beheizt, um einen kühlen Herbstabend ausklingen zu lassen.
Kommen Sie und genießen Sie Ihren Urlaub in unserem Gartenhaus und genießen Sie die natürliche Pracht, die Acadia ist !!
Zwei Kajaks und zwei Fahrräder sind im Mietpreis enthalten. Wir haben Wi-Fi.
Wir vermieten nur Sonntag bis Sonntag in der Hochsaison, aber es gibt nur ein Minimum von 3 Tagen für die Nebensaison. Wenn das Ferienhaus in der Hochsaison nicht in letzter Minute vermietet wird, ziehen wir eine kürzere Miete in Betracht.

10/10 I cannot recommend this property more. Leslie and her husband were fantastic hosts. Even mailing home a pair of jeans I mistakenly left behind.The place was nice and clean with a full kitchen, including a French press for the coffee enthusiasts, and assortment of movies as well as smart TV.The Wi-Fi is enough to doomscroll if you get rained in. Which if you don't have T-Mobile you will not have any service on the island. So it's nice to be able to access messaging at the property. You're staying in a National Park. So nature is what you're going to get. Every morning we watched a group of deer cross through the front yard. There is a bug net on the front door but nothing is perfect and you will find some insects during your stay. Nothing more than a fly or a ladybug here and there though.Leslie made sure to give us all of the information we needed to be comfortable during our stay upon booking and even directions to the property.Make sure to back in. The road isn't super busy but there is a blind hill next to the drive that makes backing out a bit tricky.

The cottage was clean, complete, and quiet. We had 3 days of park walking, hiking, and cycling and what a treat to come back to a cozy, quiet and very functional home. We walked out the door to adventures in town and on the Bass Garbor side while easily driving to the other park areas. We would happily seat again!

This cottage in Bass Harbor is perfect! Minutes to Acadia park with bikes to ride the carriage trails (make sure your vehicle/rental can fit them, it's a little dangerous to ride on the road). It's quiet and private with a great patio and garden. The kitchen has everything you need, Leslie is a helpful and responsive host!

Leslie’s garden cottage was a peaceful and pleasant place to stay while we visited Acadia. We enjoyed spending time in the garden amongst the hummingbirds when we weren’t hiking. Leslie’s check in/out instructions were very clear and she was a text away if we needed anything. There are several ANP trails only minutes away from the cottage, including the Bass Harbor lighthouse which we visited at sunset. The bedroom was cozy and the kitchen was stocked with all the basics. Would recommend!

The Most Perfect Stay to Visit Acadia!

Leslie and her partner’s property exceeded expectations. The home was exactly what we needed for our one-week stay to Maine, specifically to visit Acadia National Park and use our boat. LOCATION: The property is in a more quiet location, perfect for our enjoyment of calmer evenings, off the road and away from Bar Harbor crowds, yet still 30 minutes max from everything. There’s even a gas station a short distance away which came in clutch many times.PROPERTY: The home itself is beautiful, boasting a lovely garden with bird feeders, a table and fire pit, with the ocean nearby. The kitchen was stocked with what we needed and the bedroom, bathroom and TV areas were so cozy and accommodating. The check-in/out process was super easy and Leslie was ABOVE & BEYOND when we had any questions.HIGHLY RECOMMEND 12/10! Thank you!

The property is quiet and beautifully kept. I loved sitting on the patio and enjoying the sounds of birds and watching the bees pollinate the flowers nearby. It was so peaceful. The house had all things you’d need and was cozy and comfortable. The location was fantastic for beautiful nearby trails and it was the only about 25 minutes to Bar Harbor. We had a wonderful week and loved our visit!

Peaceful, relaxing stay

Lovely cottage near on the quiet side of Acadia

We thoroughly enjoyed our four nights in the Bass Harbor Cottage. It was perfect for two adults. The bedroom and sitting room were very comfortable and cozy. The kitchen had all you would need to prepare meals and a nice eating area or there were even TV trays upstairs in the sitting room. We enjoyed relaxing each evening after dinner with a DVD from the great selection provided. Our host, Leslie, gave us wonderful tips on places to eat, shop, and things to do. The drive to Acadia's main loop was easy and beautiful. Passing through the little towns was fun. Although we may not have been in the center of the hustle and bustle, we could easily drive to BarHarbor of other spots. Absolutely enjoyed our stay.

Close to the water and we’ll equipped. Bed was comfortable and linens were new and fresh. Perfect for two people. Property owner is responsive to communications. We had few questions and overall enjoyed our stay.

We loved our stay on the Quiet Side of mount desert island. Beautiful garden makes up for lack of direct lake views but access to hikes, carriage roads and coast is easy to get to.

Acadia is our favorite place to be. When we purchased the property, it wasn't so pretty, and we have spent years doing construction and gardening. After much hard work it is a pretty and comfortable cottage. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

You will be on the "Quiet Side", away from the crowds in Bar Harbor, but still very near many hikes which are part of Acadia, but are located on our side of the island. We are also only 3 miles from Echo Lake.
