Sieben spaßige, umweltfreundliche Jurten und zwei winzige Häuser bringen Sie der Natur so nahe wie Camping und bieten alle Annehmlichkeiten von zu Hause. Das Acadia Yurts befindet sich auf einem 5 Hektar großen, bewaldeten Grundstück inmitten des Acadia-Nationalparks und bietet einen ruhigen Rückzugsort für Ihre Gruppe (bis zu 4 Gäste pro 24 'Jurte, 6 Gäste für die 30' Jurte oder 2 Gäste pro Tiny House). Acadia Yurts ist auch ideal für große Reisegruppen mit Unterkünften für bis zu 34 Personen an einem Ort.

Eine Jurte ist eine zeltähnliche kreisförmige Stoffstruktur mit einem Holzgitterrahmen, der von den Nomadenstämmen in Asien stammt. Diese dauerhaften, farbenfrohen Strukturen haben dicke Außenwände aus Segeltuch, die eine reflektierende Isolierung und eine hocheffiziente Wärmepumpen- / Wechselstromeinheit enthalten, sodass Sie sich zu jeder Jahreszeit wohlfühlen können. Jurten werden schnell zu einem neuen Urlaubserlebnis, das Urlauber in den USA von Klippenansichten in Kalifornien bis zu Skihütten in Colorado genießen. The Maine Vacation of our Dreams!

This truly was the perfect getaway. Our first (but not last) visit to Acadia and the Yurt was the best way to experience it! Aaron and Karen were so communicative and informative, checking in, and giving us info that we wanted about the area! We’ll be back for sure and can’t recommend Acadia Yurts enough!

Absolutely amazing!

The yurt was fabulous for 3 adults and one child, age 12. It had everything we needed for our stay, and the little red barn offered extras if you need something outside of the norm like coffee filters, spices, umbrellas, laundry detergent, games, etc. There was plenty of room for everyone to be comfortable while inside. The picnic table and grill was a nice touch outside. I also loved the earplugs and eye masks and coffee station. Both beds were super comfortable. The neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed the firepit one evening and made s'mores. The skylight was super cool, too! I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to everyone! Thank you for helping me ro enjoy Maine a little more !

Great place!

The listing was accurate and location very convenient to visit Acadia National Park. It was so helpful to have the kitchen with our young kids, we also enjoy the board games from the common barn and even managed to join one of the yoga class.

We loved it here.

We loved our yurt. It was surprisingly spacious and had everything we needed. It was very comfortable and we didn’t have any problems. The whole property was well kept. The proprietors were very nice. We also loved the sauna, massage and float. We would definitely stay here again.

Great long weekend outside Acadia

The yurt was very comfortable and clean. Property in a good location close to the park but removed from the crowds of Bar Harbor, which gives it a great remote feeling. Necessities are just down the road in SW Harbor. Aaron and Karen were incredibly nice and accommodating the entire time. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay near Acadia!

Great escape

We loved our yurt and the solitude of the location. We were close to town and Acadia, but once we got back to our yurt, we enjoyed the remoteness of the location. It was the perfect size and had all amenities we needed. We slept like a baby, especially the night it rained.

Favorite getaway

My husband and I have been to Acadia Yurts 3 different years now, it’s such a beautiful and peaceful getaway, and we love the beauty of Acadia! Idyllic experience

Amazing property

I remember saying to my husband right after we checked in that this was the first time that a rental property was actually better than the pictures; I was so impressed! The yurt was so clean, beautiful and so functional. We spent most of our days at Acadia National Park but the yurt was such a cozy and quiet place to come back to each evening. The yurts are also all spaced apart enough so that you feel like you have privacy.

Quiet Oasis on MDI

We has such an amazing stay at the yurts. Karen and Aaron do a great job and are very accommodating. We slept great, had just what we needed, and even did laundry a couple of times. Maximize your stay by scheduling a service at the Wellness Center they have onsite. You wont regret it.

Zu Gast bei Karen Roper

Aaron is an Maine native. He was born and raised across the bridge in Trenton and grew up attending local Bar Harbor schools. He has worked in the restaurant industry for the past 15+ years beginning as a prep cook in high school then moving toward general manager. Aaron's favorite extracurricular activity is learning all he can about Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. As often as he can, he trains locally and loves sharing this passion with others.

Karen is a transplant. Originally from Chicago she made her way to Maine in 2009 and fell in love immediately. In Acadia she enjoys hiking, trail running, yoga, and long walks on the carriage roads. Karen has been teaching yoga locally for over 6 years and now brings her practice to the Wellness Center (located on site at Acadia Yurts). Karen is also a licensed massage therapist and offers services onsite.

As a couple we have done quite a bit of traveling and through that we have narrowed down the particular way we like to travel. The biggest factor for us is having a furnished kitchen in order to prepare health minded foods to nourish our bodies and support all our outdoor activities. The idea for Acadia Yurts has been brewing for quite some time. Friends of ours live off the grid in a yurt and we greatly appreciate the rustic, romantic feel of the yurt but wanted some of the comforts of home- running water, heat, electricity. From there Acadia Yurts was born. We deeply hope you enjoy our home as much as we do!!
