Casa San Giovanni

Casa San Giovanni ist eine große Wohnung im ersten Stock eines antiken Palastes MIT AUFZUG aus dem Jahr 1570. Die Wohnung befindet sich auf dem sehr zentralen Platz namens Piazza San Giovanni, direkt an der Kathedrale von Lucca.



Es wurde gerade nach den höchsten Standards komplett renoviert und hat Details der Geschichte des Gebäudes mit erstaunlichen Fresken und Gemälden bewahrt. Die Unterkunft ist für ganzjährigen Komfort mit Zentralheizung und Klimaanlage ausgestattet. Sie betreten die Tür und gehen durch Doppeltüren in das Hauptwohnzimmer, das äußerst geräumig und hell ist. In der gesamten Wohnung hat man eine schöne Aussicht und blickt auf die Kathedrale. Das Esszimmer bietet bequem Platz für 8 Personen.



Die Küche bietet alle modernen Geräte. Die Wohnung verfügt über 2 Schlafzimmer und 2 Badezimmer. Die Badezimmer verfügen über einen Jacuzzi-Whirlpool. Es gibt einen Fernseher im Wohnzimmer und eine WI-FI-Internetverbindung in der ganzen Wohnung.



Für Reservierungen, die vor dem 1. Dezember 2019 bestätigt wurden, wird die Heizung bei Nutzung mit 10 Euro pro Tag extra berechnet.

Enjoyable 10 day stay in Lucca

We enjoyed our stay at this Lucca apartment. The property was very clean and comfortable for our 10-day vacation. The location was terrific, a short walk to the wall, to the train station, and only a few steps to the center of town. The church in this Piazza offers wonderful Puccini concerts not to be missed.

A True Gem in Lucca!

The pictures do not do this apartment justice...it is even more beautiful than shown. The location couldn't be better right in the heart of the walled city close to all the attractions and excellent restaurants. The apartment is spacious and clean and beautifully appointed. The wireless works great as well. We loved staying here and will definitely book it again on a return trip to Lucca. Our family has rented homes for many years in Italy, Mexico, Costa Rica, Australia and the United States and this one rates among the best.

Excellent apartment and location, location, location!

Three of us stayed at this wonderful, well-appointed “Renaissance” style apartment, within the historic walls of Lucca. From the Frescos on the ceilings to the view of the church and piazza, everything was fabulous. The Puccini concert evenings are held right in the piazza on the apartment doorstep - could faintly hear the opera with the living room window open! Fabulous memory!

This apartment has an amazing location! Steps away from everything. Easy 10 min or less walk to the train station to go on outings for the day. Plenty of room for 4 of us. Sonia met us at the apartment so check in was easy and no stress and it was very easy to communicate with Sonia and the office.

This is a simply outstanding place in an exceptional location. The apartment is fully air conditioned which was a god send in the stifling summer heat. Great place but a little noisy

This was a beautiful apartment and a beautiful city. If you’re looking for serenity and peace, you may not find it. The Piazza in front of the apartment was very busy and there were very loud people outside the apartment until after midnight most nights. Other than that, it was a very nice place. The staff was also wonderful. We arrived very late because of a missed flight, but instead of letting us rent a hotel for the night they met us that anyway. I highly recommend renting properties from this company.

A stylish 1st floor apartment with a lovely view over Piazza San Giovanni. We loved the decor, furnishings, high ceilings and frescos. It gave the apartment a high standard feel. The location is excellent, especially if arriving by train as it is just a short walk the station. Everywhere within Lucca’s walls is a close walk. It is also generally very quiet at night, unless there is an event on, the piazza is very quiet. We attended a Lucca Summer Festival concert and it was so nice to have such a short walk back to the flat. All our interactions and communications with the property managers was positive and helpful and they provide a fantastic guide to Lucca which is worth a read.

Third time with same Agency!

We travel to Italy every summer and are based in Lucca with my family every Christmas. Given the numerous holiday apartments I have rented over the years, Lucca Apartments and Villas service, attention to detail, consideration of their clients' individual needs, and the quality of her properties surpass any other agency and private owner I have used. Lucca is an enchanting family destination, and both the St Giovanni and Opera apartments that I used were just perfect for our mixed family group, with ample space in the beautiful living rooms and modern kitchens for time together, yet private quiet bedrooms and nice newly renovated bathroooms. The location is absolutely perfect, particularly if you are bringing a car, and both Benedetta and Sonia were the kindest and most helpful hosts I've met in all my years traveling to Italy. Perfect location in Lucca

We stayed at this lovely historical apartment with our family and for for almost 3 weeks. When we booked it, we had no idea the Lucca Summer Music Festival was happening. What a treat to be able to hear the bands from the windows of the apartments and enjoy listening at the café around the corner. The apartment is equipped with everything you need for a long stay and was nicely decorated. We did have an issue with the air conditioning in the master bedroom, not working as well as the other units but were appreciative to Elizabeth and Alice for helping to get it fixed. They were also extremely helpful with any needs that we had. Will definitely stay here or in another property that belongs to Lucca Apartments and Villas again.

Loved it once again!

Once again The Lucca apartments Villas team came thru. We had a big group but the three apartments were perfect, in a perfect location, all in the same building just down the street to the ice skating and main plaza. We were able, everyday, to just walk down to the Show where the Puccini concerts took place. No problem to get there, walk from station was short, bus was available and our favorite restaurant that Sonia suggested called GIGLIO was just one small block from apartments. We have stayed in Sonia’s apartments before, always have really like it and this time they had updated the bathrooms, very nice job. We love this area, lots of food, lots of shopping, great transportation. We are not afraid of busestrains. We will probably come here again in Fall, great weather, not as many tourists, lots of fun everywhere. Loved it!

Extremely enjoyable Lucca apartment

The apartment is fantastic! Everything one needs to have to spend time in this beautiful city. An elegant, spacious and sparkling clean apartment in a central area, perfect for sightseeing and to reach the railway station. We were 12 ladies celebrating my sisters Birthday {a special one}. I arranged with the owners to have a cake and wine etc. ready for us as a surprise. It was wonderfully set out on the table. We just walked into a party!!! We had a party in the charming garden of one of the apartments which was perfectly maintained and it was the perfect frame for our celebration. We rented three apartments from Lucca Apartment and Villas, all in the same building and we felt so lucky to have been able to stay in this amazing accommodation. Everything was perfectly kept and maintained and management was so attentive to our needs. Thank you all the Lucca Apartments and Villas Staff!

Great Location

This property is in a great location. The apartment is lovely and as depicted in photos. However, be aware that the bathrooms appear much larger in the photos. The second bedroom bathroom shower is very very small. The shower stall measures approximately 26" x 26". The shower in the master bathroom requires you to step into an elevated tub that isn't easy especially if you are older. My suggestion to management is to install some grab bars for safety. We did have to have the small lightbulbs in both bathrooms (over the sink) replaced as they kept flickering. By the end of our stay they had blown out again. Electricity and water pressure are an issue in Italy. But, with that said, we love Italy and plan on visiting again but I will take more care when inquiring about the shower situation. Sonia, who checked us in was wonderful and very responsive as well as Manual when Sonia was not available.

Nice place in a great town!

We booked this apartment and loved everything it had to offer. It is in an old building, but the place is huge and really great. The beds were comfortable and the it was spotlessly clean. It's not the most modern, but it had all the amenities. We used the apartment in Lucca as a base for our "day trips" to other places during our 4 day stay. Lucca is a great town with great restaurants and a lot to do. It was very cool in the apartment and felt good to relax when we had been out in very hot weather. In addition, the wash machine came in handy so we didn't have sweaty and smelly clothes to pack in our bags. We did not cook meals at the apartment. I was unable to find any silverware, which was odd, but it had many other items you would use to cook with. You cannot use more than one big appliance at a time due to how old the building and electrical wiring was, but that was not an issue with our family. Overall, we had a nice stay in a clean and cool apartment during the heat of the summer. The location is also pretty great. Thank you!

The apartment has been completely rebuilt 5 years ago so electrical sistem is new and up to date. The matter that does not allow to switch more than 1 big household appliance per time (which means only iron, dishwasher and washing machine) it is because a regular residential house in Italy can offer max 3.3 Kilowatts. By the way if you use more household appliances at the same time nothing catastrophic happens -as we explained at your arrival- but you may need to re-operate the appliance.. that's all! It makes me so happy to learn that the most paramount pilar of my service philosophy, accommodating my guests' needs and enabling their desires was met. THANK YOU LUCCA APARTMENTS AND VILLAS!

The apartment is eveything that is promised in the listing, and very much as the photos show. We found it ideal for four. The location was great, far enough away from the masses of tourists but close enough to walk to the 'hot spots' Amphiteatre square', 'antique market' and the new Luc.ca museum of contemporary art which was a lovely walk from the apartment. We loved wandering the narrow streets close to the apartment, dicovering the small eateries and enjoying the quieter side of Lucca. Beautiful violin player outside magnificant church and just the four of us.... magical. The bus terminal is aprox 5 mins walk away, great for daily trips. We found the apartment impeccably clean and all appliances worked including satellite tv with international channels and the high speed wi-fi. The added bonus with Lucca Apartments and Villas apartment is Chiara's welcome and true Italian hospitality. She and her cousin Benedetta are great comunicators, emaiing us to let us know there was a train and bus strike. Our train made it through and Sonia and her cousin met us at the train station and walked us to the apartment! Sonia, having shown us everthing about the apartment, took us to the open markets and around Lucca on her way to home, she really treated us like family. Our memories of lucca will always include their very warm welcome. It is often people that make difference between a holiday and a great holiday experience.

Excellent St Giovanni apt

We just returned from a two-week stay at St. Giovanni Apartment it was everything we hoped it would be. But the locationtwo minute walk to the main shopping area, less than five minutes to the train stationwas quite incredible! I think we walked to almost every site in town in less than 10 minutes. We typically walked back to the apartment for lunch and downtime before heading out for the afternoon adventure it's so close to everything that was no problem at all. The apartment itself is very cozy and comfortable. The two separate bedrooms are wonderful if someone wants to retire sooner than the other. Benedetta has a great library of art and history books that provide hours of entertainment and fill in holes in your knowledge of Lucca’s history. The apartment was very clean and very warm (it was quite cool this time of year in Lucca). Heating was extremely reasonable, just 6 euros daily less than I expected. Then we did not have to pay for any extra charge. The photos on the web site nicely captured the ambience of the space and appointments- There is no traffic sound at all as cars are not allowed in this area of the town. We cooked the majority of our meals in the apartment. It was easy and convenient and saved a great deal of expense. All the necessary equipment was there we just went to local grocery stores every day to buy our food. There's a wonderful Trattoria called Il Cuore (The Heart!) just around the corner of the church in front of the apartment. We had three meals there that were wonderful and the staff was great fun. Not many tourists, just locals. We were very happy at St. Giovanni apartment and quickly settled in. We would highly recommend it.

sehr zentral gelegene Wohnung

eine Wohnung mit leichtem morbidem Charme. Durch die Fresken und das Mobiliar fühlte man sich ins vorherige Jahrhundert versetzt. Es war für einen längeren Aufenthalt alles vorhanden was benötigt wurde. Handtücher ausreichend. Sauber und zentral gelegen. Signora Sonia hat uns nett empfangen und ausreichend unterrichtet. Über eine Sache müssen wir uns negativ äußern: Die Tatsache, dass in Italien eine Wohnung vermietet wird und keine Informationen in der Landessprache ausliegen finden wir unmöglich. Gerne in Englisch zusätzlich.

Deilige dager i Lucca

Med sentral og god beliggenhet midt i sentrum av Lucca, hadde vi fire flotte dager i den stemningsfulle byen. Leiligheten var romslig og flott innredet med to gode soverom og to bad. Kjøkkenet ble lite brukt, men inneholdt det meste. Eneste minuset var det trådløse nettet som vi ikke fikk til å fungere. Nettadressen i manualen for leiligheten stemte ikke og det samme gjaldt nettadressen som stod på ruteren. Så det ble ingen WIFI løsning. Ellers hjelpsomme og hyggelige vertinner.

Wonderful apartment in Lucca

The apartment was very comfortable and tastefully furnished with plenty of space. It’s location was ideal being walking distance from the railway station, close it major shopping areas and around the corner from the Puccini concerts venue.. A lovely place to stay in beautiful Lucca

Elegant apartment in delightful city.

Property was great. The person scheduled to meet us was 20 mins. late, so got off to less than ideal start. After that though everything was terrific.. Would highly recommend.
