Home Away from Home in Historic Centre of Lucca

“Home away from home” truly describes this beautiful property within the walls of Lucca. We have stayed in many, many properties over the years and we can honestly say this lovely apartment is the best! Hosted by Lucia and Mauricio, the only thing that would have made our stay better would have been to stay longer!!! Beautifully and practically appointed, the apartment is ideally located for exploring Lucca and the surrounding area and an early morning espresso on the terrace with a view to Guinigi Tower and the hills beyond sets one up for a great day! We will definitely be back!!!

Perfect location

From the balcony you look over towards the Guigini Tower while enjoying breakfast/lunch/wine and cheese. Everything you would want to see/experience is just a few steps away. You will find a large collection of brochures/maps/ideas on what to see and do available in the apartment, and Lucia the host is always available to share her wealth of knowlede of Lucca and surrounds.

Lovely Stay in Lucca

The apartment was beautifully appointed and charming. The host thought of everything that her guests would need to make it feel like home. I had room for visitors with two bedrooms and two full baths. We enjoyed the living and dining rooms and the work desk was perfect for me while working remotely. The view from the balcony was lovely and I enjoyed eating outside. I love Lucca and am eager to stay here again next year!

Beautiful Lucca

The property projects the sense of history that is the essence of Lucca. In other words, it is really old with the original low and rough timber ceilings but it also has all the mod cons. The perfect mix! To spend time in this apartment in the heart of Lucca is to become, as far as is possible on a visit, part of the community.

Superb apartment

From day one we felt completely at home. The layout, the decor, the style and the view from the spacious balcony were exceptional. The host, Lucia provided continuous help and advice on places to see, places to eat and interesting activities. The warmth and generosity from Lucia and her husband Maurizio made us feel almost like locals. Their love of the history of Lucca was inspiring. We have already booked to return to this home away from home.

Absolutely amazing!

Lucia could not have been a better host! The home was immaculate! Everything was perfect and the home was very comfortable. We enjoyed our mornings and evenings sitting on the balcony with the amazing views. The home is set up with everything you could need. Lucia was always quick to respond and helpful with whatever you needed. We will be staying here on any and all return trips to Lucca.

Great apartment in Lucca

This was a cute apartment on the 4th floor in Lucca. It was very roomy and well appointed with everything we needed for our stay. We enjoyed sipping coffee on the balcony every morning. While we didn't prepare any dinners here, there was everything we would have needed. The apartment was spacious, yet cozy at the same time. The host was an excellent communicator and always available for questions and to make sure your stay was going well. The town of Lucca is such a charming place. I would highly recommend these accommodations!

A wonderful stay in Lucca in a lovely apartment

Lucia and Maurizio were exemplary hosts, very helpful and always available for suggestions of where to go and places to eat. Wonderful to meet including their family. We spent 5 nights using Lucca as a base to explore the town and Tuscan/Lingurian area. The apartment was extremely comfortable with all amenities and perfect location . Super apartment in Lucca

Just leaving Lucca after a wonderful long weekend in a great apartment in Lucca - very comfortable, well appointed, 2 good sized bedrooms each with its own ensuite. Lovely balcony with great views - perfect for breakfast, coffee and a pre dinner drink. Location is superb - quiet street but with several very good places for breakfast, lunch or dinner close by. Underground parking 5 minutes away. Lucia and Maurizio made us very welcome and were very helpful with ideas of what to do and making bookings. Bravissimo!

Perfect!

We loved our stay in Lucca! Being able to come home to this wonderful, cozy, clean apartment each day was fantastic. We were able to enjoy the beautiful view from the balcony while drinking vino and eating biscotti (provided by Maurizio & Lucia, grazie!) Bikes are provided for a nice ride around the wall of Lucca, so fun! Maurizio was kind enough to drive us to the bus station at the end of our stay-gracious hosts to say the least. We will surely stay here again on our next visit to Lucca. Grazie Maurizio and Lucia!

Absolutely fantastic stay in Lucca. Lucia and Maurizio are amazing hosts. They went above and beyond what was expected and are by far the best hosts we’ve ever had. The apartment was very clean and charming. The patio area had a beautiful view of the Guinigi Tower, especially at night when it is illuminated. The main bedroom was perfect for my wife and I. The two bathrooms were very convenient. The location is awesome. Very close to everything you’d like to do/see. Their restaurant and site recommendations were spot on. Again, I can not stress enough how awesome Lucia and Maurizio are as hosts! Grazie mille!!

In love with Lucca

We had an absolutely wonderful time in Lucca and Lucia and Maurizio's place is one of the main reasons. It is a delightful place from which to explore Lucca. We loved coming home each day to relax in the apartment. It is clean, comfortable, beautiful, and has such charming character. Everything you need is supplied, plus generous extras like the welcoming gift of a bottle of wine and biscotti. Both Lucia and Maurizio are so warm and friendly. They are eager to do anything they can to make your stay and your experience of Lucca a positive one. We hope to return and would for sure time our vacation for when this apartment is available, because we would not want to stay anywhere else!

Outstanding.

From our first conversation with Lucia, we knew we in the perfect place. For two elderly ladies who spoke no Italian and had no sense of direction, we would be fine. Lucia’s apartment was perfect. Everything we needed was furnished. The balcony was our favorite place for coffee every morning. Beautiful. When we needed information on anything from busses to restaurants, Lucia was there. She did so much more than we ever could have imagined. Even arranged for taxi pick up and return to airport. Her and her wonderful husband met us for drinks and drove us around Lucca to show us the beauty around the area. Jean and I will NEVER forget how a three week stay at Lucia’s apartment made a memory of a lifetime. Everything as perfect.

Wem es nichts ausmacht, bis ins Dachgeschoss zu steigen (60 Stufen), den erwartet eine tolle große Ferienwohnung: geschmackvoll eingerichtet, super ausgestattet und liebevoll dekoriert. Vom Balkon hat man einen schönen Blick über die Dächer Luccas. Die Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin, die zudem äußerst hilfsbereit war, funktionierte sehr gut! Herzlichen Dank, Lucia!

Perfect appartment to visit Lucca

This is a perfect appartement to visit Lucca. Very clean, cosy and very tastefully furbished. The appartement is fully equiped with everything necessary, and even more. Outside is everything within walking distance. We felt very very comfortable. Many restaurants, bars and shops around for everyones taste. But the appartement is in a very quiet street so that one does not have a lot of noise at night. Lucia and Maurizio are very friendly, sympathic and lovely hosts, which we can just recommend to everyone.

Beautiful and charming flat in the heart of Lucca

We stayed 10 days in this clean and large flat with a beautiful terrace. The flat is inside the historical city walls in the near of the amphy theatre with a lot of restaurants and shops. The rooms are very quiet. We liked to stayed there and felt very well in this charming flat. Lucy, the owner of the flat, was very friendly and reliable. We would love to stay again!

Estancia deliciosa

Muy recomendable. Lucia y Maurizio han sido encantadores, unos anfitriones atentos y cariñosos. El apartamento tiene una ubicaciòn excelente, muy bien equipado. Agradable terraza sobre los tejados de Lucca y vista a sus torres. Con bicicletas a nuestra disposiciòn. Un apartamento decorado con amor. Para repetir sin duda.

Perfect stay in Lucca

Unfortunately we only had 3 nights in Lucca, a beautiful destination. We were met by our wonderful host Lucia who showed us the apartment and gave us suggestions for things to see and places to eat. The flat is fantastic - if the weather had been warmer it would have been great to have breakfast and a glass of wine in the evening on the terrace to enjoy the amazing view. As our stay was so short we decided not to use the well-equipped kitchen but to eat out. The apartment is perfectly situated for wandering around town and there are lots of cafés, restaurants and shops within a short walk. Don't forget to use the bikes and take a ride around the city walls. We will definitely return to this apartment for a longer stay in the spring time. Thanks again to Lucia for an unforgettable visit to Lucca. Looking forward to seeing you you again in spring.

Amazing flat, wonderful view, quit, and our guest has been super !

The flat is much much better than what it appears in the website: a special mix of tradition and modern, elegance & design, great view, very quiet and in the center of everything in Lucca. Fully equipped. Lucy our guest is very brilliant and has supported us with so many useful tips. She can arrange also airport picj-up & lrips in the area. Don'ts miss this flat ! Super

As a travel agent myself, I can honestly say the owner of this apartment was the friendliest and most helpful person to deal with. She paid attention to the little details and even helped my clients book a local restaurant. My clients stayed for 3 nights in this apartment and they were impressed with both the property and the warm welcome from the host, Lucia. They loved the character of the apartment and particularly the terrace, enabling them to look out over the rooftops. They were so enamoured with the apartment that they even took a video to show me and told me not to hesitate to send other clients here. I could not have asked for better feedback about the apartment and the owners. If you're travelling to Lucca, this is the place to stay!

Our Home Away From Home

LUCIA was so very helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. Great beds great ! Lots of room very quaint and comfortable. Great location to restaurants and gelato stores! We loved our time there and would highly recommend this home away form home!
