Ein zauberhafter Aufenthalt in Gianlucas Ferienwohnung in Lucca.

Die Lage der Ferienwohnung könnte nicht besser sein - in der Altstadt von Lucca, direkt umgeben von Cafés und kleinen Läden für den täglichen Bedarf. Obwohl wir bereits öfter in Lucca waren, fanden wir immer wieder neue hübsche Gassen und Plätze. Gianluca ist ein außergewöhnlicher Gastgeber. Die Kontaktaufnahme war unkompliziert und er hat immer prompt auf unsere Anfragen geantwortet. Gianluca hatte an alles gedacht, um unseren Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten. Es war beruhigend zu wissen, dass wir uns jederzeit an ihn wenden konnten und er immer für uns da war. Bei unserer Ankunft empfing uns sein sympathischer Sohn und zeigte uns die Wohnung, die mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet war. Er gab uns wertvolle Tipps für Restaurants, Sehenswürdigkeiten, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und zu kostenlosen Parkplätzen. Die Ferienwohnung selbst ist ein echtes Juwel. Sie war sauber, komfortabel und mit allem ausgestattet, was wir benötigten. Besonders gefallen haben uns die geschmackvoll eingerichteten Schlafzimmer in Kombination mit den außergewöhnlichen Bädern. Das war ein erheblicher Wohlfühlfaktor. Die Küche bietet viel Platz und kann aufgrund der Ausstattung gut genutzt werden. Die Waschmaschine war für uns sehr hilfreich. Insgesamt ein wunderschöner Aufenthalt. Grazie mille Gianluca. Alla prossima volta!

Sehr zu empfehlen!

Die Wohnung hat eine top Lage und ist sehr sauber. Lediglich das Geschirr mussten wir einmal durchspülen. Ansonsten war alles super sauber und gemütlich eingerichtet. Die Kommunikation mit Gianluca hätte nicht besser laufen können. Wir haben sofort Rückmeldung bei Fragen erhalten und Empfehlungen. Eines Morgens hatten wir sogar eine süße Überraschung vor der Tür liegen, was wir sehr aufmerksam fanden. Wir hatten wunderbare 10 Tage in Lucca und empfehlen diese Wohnung jeden weiter. Wir werden wieder kommen!

Gute Ausstattung und

Wir sind eine Familie mit drei Kindern. Das Apartment hat viel Platz für uns, und die Einrichtung der Küche, Bäder und Zimmer lässt keine unserer Wünsche offen. Dazu liegt das Apartment innerhalb der historischen Stadtmauern, und damit sind Sehenswürdigkeiten, Geschäfte, Restaurants und das quirlige Stadtleben zu Fuß gut erreichbar. Zusammen mit einem hilfsbereiten Gastgeber ergibt das einen Super-Urlaub.

Gianluca is a very dedicated and nice host, the flat is even more charming in reality than shown in the photos. Everything is spotlessly clean and very well maintained. The flat is located in the very lively Fillungo street, and highly recommended for people who want to be in the centre of the action.

Cozy, beautiful flat, perfect communication, marvelous location!

We booked Gianlucas flat very short term and were very lucky to find this gem of a place in Lucca. We were two adults from Hamburg and usually drive two days to Italy. From the very beginning, Gianluca answered every question and was very helpful throughout the whole booking process. We exchanged numbers and he was available all the time until we arrived in Lucca, were he made sure we got a proper introduction from one of his friends as he was out of town. We were also shown free parking spots outside of the historic center. The flat itself is located right at one of the main entries behind the city wall, directly at the Via Fillungo, Luccas main shopping street. The flat itself is in one of the old houses but everything was renovated very recently. The bedrooms are fitted with each one big, new and comfortable bed and both have an own bathroom attached to them where the beautiful, very italian looking tilework is the cherry on top. The entire flat was decorated with a very modern, toned down classic style, with the old structures of the house occasionally and very charmingly emphasized. The kitchen and the living room morphe into one, which gives a really cozy and wide-ranging athomsphere. The location, as mentioned is great, there is everything around, from a washing salon to a drugstore. We often just roamed around the town, Lucca is very lively all the summer and has many tourists, everyone was helpful and nice and spoke english. There is much to discover for foreigners, a stroll on top of the old city walls or the Ordo botanico would just be one of my recommendations. One special tip would be Graziana Giurlani, who owns the small shop just across the street, she has excellent, very tasty lasagna and much more fresh foods. We went to Firenze a few times which is only about 65 km away. For bathing, we drove down the Via Aurelia until we reached Migliarino, that has free access to the beach, unlike Viareggio, were you can often only access through one of the beach clubs. We overall felt really supported and welcomed during our stay, we even were given fresh sheets and towels after a week and Gianluca was available all the time. We went to Italy and Lucca as well several times before but the service, the communication and the place we stayed in made this vacation a really special and unique time and we would defininitely return to this flat. Gianluca, thank you, Danke, Grazie for your great hospitality and beautiful place!

Everything was perfect. We were met at a piazza near the apartment by Isabella and escorted to the property. She helped us bring our luggage up the stairs and showed us how everything worked. A bottle of wine was waiting for us. Everything was very clean and the layout was great. The apartment is very spacious and suited our needs. The apartment is located near the wall that encircles the city center and it was delightful to stroll along the top of the wall in the evening. It is also close to coffee and wine bars and especially, great restaurants. Gianluca is a wonderful host and did everything to make our stay an exceptional experience. We had planned to stay at Apartment Via Fillungo several years ago but we had to cancel because of Covid. We are so pleased to finally come to Lucca and stay with Gianluca.

Outstanding hosts, Gianluca and Isabella ensured, despite our very late arrival, that we were given a lovely welcome and a thorough introduction to the property. The accommodation is superb and maintained to a very high standard. It is perfect for enjoying the delights of Lucca, with cafés, and food stores literally right outside your front door, as well as being in close proximity to the wall from where you can start to explore this wonderful place. Having stayed at many similar style properties around the world, this has to be one of the very best and we hope to return very soon.The communication and information provided by Gianluca was excellent and we would definitely recommend this property.

Perfect Weekend in a Medieval City

This is a perfect location, spacious and clean. Gian Luca took us directly to the apartment just around the corner from the main Piazza. It is up a flight of stone stairs, and may have originally been in a medieval tower. This pristine apartment is modern with historical highlights in the wood ceiling beams and some exposed walls. It was very practical for 4 people (2 couples or 4 friends or family.) There are 3 full modern bathrooms and the 2 king beds are firm and comfortable. Towels are plenty and bath soap/shampoo for your convenience. Kitchen amenities for coffee, basic cooking and preparing lunch were adequate. The internet connection was clear. On the night we stayed watching the new Pope's speech, we used the TV. We had trouble logging in but Gian Luca was very prompt in responding and answered our questions immediately.Parking is a small challenge but we managed to find a space only 4 blocks away. We met up with Gian Luca at the Santa Maria Gate. We suggest be more specific and meet at Momus Cafe' in Santa Maria Piazza. This way you could order a coffee, use the WC and wait at a chair and table. This location is ideal for touring the city of Lucca. The Roman Amphitheater is 2 minutes away. Shopping on Via Fillungo has local artisans of leather, silks (Zazzi store) and other souvenir places. The churches are very close and of course, you must attempt to walk the entire Le Mura (the city walls). We will stay here again when we return to Lucca!

Lucca visit

The property was very nice. 2 bedroom, 2 bath. A lovely kitchen. The apartment is located in a busy area, but the area quiets down after 10pm. Our host showed us how to operate the heating/a/c systems. Also showed us where to park for free, which is about a 20 minute walk. The walled city is amazing. It is about a 2.5 mile walk around the city with amazing views. We enjoyed Lucca.

Perfect location inside the walls!

We loved this apartment and Lucca itself. We rented bikes twice and rode around the wall, climbed the Guinigi tower, and visited the cathedral, and this apartment was convenient to it all. We had a few rainy days and the apartment heating system worked great. Gianluca was a great host and helped with getting us parking outside the walls (ZTL), as well as being very responsive to our requests. We would definitely stay here again if we came back to Lucca. Thanks Gianluca!

Charming Lucca

We stayed in Lucca for two nights and LOVED this location. Very comfortable apartment. Bedrooms and bathrooms came well equipped. Living space is lovely. Easy to rent bikes and ride/walk the wall. Lots of local places to shop for food, farmacy, drinks and shopping just steps from the front door. Easy and quick communication with Gianluca, and Isabella. We needed a doctor for our daughter one night, and he helped us find one. Would stay here again if we come back to this region. 10 out of 10 for us!

Superb hosts, lovely apartment, ideal location

Gianluca and his wife truly deserve a rating of 10 with many pluses added on. Gianluca does the actual management of the apartment. He is animated, friendly, and dedicated to making his guests comfortable and taking care of every need. He goes far beyond the norm as a host and is extraordinarily prompt in responding to every question and need. He is generous and compassionate. While staying in the apartment, I caught a virus and was suffering from another ailment. I texted him at 10 pm to ask where I could find a pharmacy to buy medicine that my doctor in the U.S. had prescribed for me. He told me that he would get it that evening. It was raining hard with extremely strong winds, and I told him that it was too dangerous to go out then. He responded that it wasn’t a problem, and less than an hour later he knocked on the door and handed me the medicine. When my health issue continued, he consulted his doctor who gave him a recommendation for a private pay doctor. Gianluca not only set up the appointment, but picked me up, drove me there, stayed with me when I discussed my issue with the doctor, and drove me back to the apartment. Then he had to rush home to get something to eat and drive 40 minutes to his full time job. Gianluca and Isabella merit the highest ratings possible for hosts. The apartment is well located, comfortable, well appointed, and a great value while staying in splendid Lucca.

A month in Lucca

This was a solo trip for me and I could not have anticipated I would feel so comfortable in unfamiliar surroundings. Gianluca was readily available to help with any questions that arose. He was a friendly voice quick to respond throughout my stay. The apartment is in a beautiful location inside the walled city for seeing all the sights that Lucca offers as well as the wonderful shopping and dining opportunities. The train station is an easy walking distance and so was the bus station for trips outside the walled city to Pistoia Viareggio, Siena, Florence Livorno Pisa or Carrara. The apartment was immaculately clean with 3 bathrooms two dining areas and good size bedrooms. I cannot recommend this apartment enough. If there is a downside it would be that the enoteca/ bistro ioutside the bedroom windows is active most nights and although it breaks up by 11:00 there is that crowd noise. It did not bother my family while they visited but worth a mention.This is a great family or couples apartment.
