Wonderful stay in Furore

The property is just as listed, with excellent views and patios. It is a multi-unit facility with 2 other units sharing some of the patios. Leo was a great host and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

Perfect in Every Way!!

The location was perfect! The lay out of the apartment was perfect! Location to grocery shop was perfect! location to get to other area's was perfect! The Hosts Perfect! View from the top

This is a lovely and peaceful apartment midway between the towns of Amalfi and Positano. As well as a clean and fully equipped apartment there was parking for our car, a balcony and a very large terrace, both with spectacular views of the ocean and coast. Even the kitchen has a stunning view of the ocean! Leopoldo and his wife Ida are kind and helpful hosts, explained the bus system and timetable to get to Amalfi and Positano, recommended restaurants etc. I would recommend this apartment.

Fabulous view

Overall, we loved the place and the owner was very accommodating for transportation to all the Amalfi coast Cities.. besides the spectacular view there was a Michelin rated restaurant right outside the door in the mountain, which was fabulous. We actually went there twice. however, the glitch came when he used an assistant to drive us who did not understand any English.

Fantastic location!

We stayed with 5 persons in the Smeraldo apartment for 3 weeks. The apartment is fully equipped ,quit new and the view is enchanting. The owners are very hospitable. Regularly we got vegetables from the garden and they were very helpfull with answering our questions. Mr. Leopoldo speaks very good English. The busstation is very close, we found this very usefull, the way down and above can be very busy in high season. The village Furore is central to all the beautiful sites. Nice detail is the central area with bbq and table tennis and the view of course!

Sehr empfehlenswerte Ferienwohnung an der Amalfiküste!

Wir haben 10 Tage Ende Mai 2017 in der Wohnung Calypso Smeraldo in Furore gewohnt. Die Wohnung verfügt über einen großen Balkon mit fantastischem Meerblick, 2 Schlafzimmer, Küche, Bad und einem eigenen Parkplatz. Die Wohnung war sehr sauber und vollständig eingerichtet, so dass wir uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt haben. Leo ist ein sehr netter und zuverlässiger Vermieter, der sehr gut Englisch spricht. Er hat uns viele gute Tips gegeben und war jederzeit sehr hilfsbereit. Many thanks Leo!! Wir können die Wohnung nur empfehlen und werden sicher wieder dort buchen, wenn wir die Amalfiküste besuchen. Wir können das Restaurant Luca's, dass man in 10 Minuten zu Fuss über einige Treppen erreichen kann, empfehlen. Direkt neben dem Restaurant befindet sich ein Alimentari. Weitere gute Restaurants findet man auch in Agerola, in 15 Minuten mit dem Auto erreichbar, z.B. La Corte degli Dei. In Agerola beginnt auch der Götterwanderweg nach Positano. Für den Rückweg kann man das Boot und den Bus über Amalfi nutzen.

sehr schöne Ferienwohnung mit großer Wohnküche und tollem Blick über die Küste

Wir waren mit 3 Kindern in Furore. Die Wohnung hat (für die Amalfi-Küste außergewöhnlich) relativ nahe einen eigenen Autostellplatz. Die Wohnung hat einen sehr schönen Balkon mit herrlichem Blick, eine sehr gut ausgestattete Küche und liegt ganz ruhig. Die Vermieter waren sehr nett und haben uns viele Tipps gegeben. Für Wanderungen vom Bergdorf Bomerano (Einstieg in den Götterwanderweg) aus liegt die Wohnung sehr gut, für Besichtigungen nach Amalfi nutzt man besser den Bus. Die Wohnung war sauber und die Beschreibung entsprach der Realität.

Dream villa for our dream vacation

We were very delighted with this villa...it was spotless, had incredible views of the Amalfi coast, and our hosts, Leo & Ida were friendly and helpful! The villa was, in reality, even more lovely that pictured...inside and out. The location allowed us easy access to a small grocery story and quaint restaurant (walking down 190 steps and then a short stroll along a curvy road.) There was also a higher end hotel / restaurant with a beautiful view of the sea and coast a block from the villa. Leo graciously picked us up at the train station upon arrival, and also drove us to the Naples airport for our departure at a very reasonable rate. We loved hearing his stories about the region as part of our drives. The villa property includes beautiful grape vines, and lemon trees. We would definitely return!! Ciao, ~Maria & Steve

We were a group of five and and we stay at seven different properties and his was outstanding.. If you want a view of the Amalfi coast this is the property. As for Leo he went above and beyond. One of the members of our party a medical problem and Leo took him to the doctors office. He brought us some wonderful pastries and a bottle of wine during our stay..Leo has a wonderful command of Engllsh. Thank you Leo for a grand experience. Bob and Donna.

Do not hesitate for a minute!! By far our best vrbo experience. The 4 of us stayed 5 nights in the smeraldo apt and the only thing could have made this better is another 5 nights, Our first time in Italy and the Amalfi coast and it was a choice well made. Stunning views and perfect apt. The description and reviews are spot on. Leopoldo and his wife were wonderful host and were actually one of the high points of our trip. Leo speaks great English and very helpful. I hope to return soon. Amalfi amazing!!

Lovely immaculately clean apartment in a stunning location.

Leo and Ida are very welcoming and full of useful information about the area. Leo’s English is near perfect. The shop is a rather steep walk down steps, but considering how small it is has everything you could want. We hired a car and toured the area, but beware, the roads need nerves of steel. Local buses are available, but we like the independence of a car. We travelled up to the hill side villages to have lunch and buy additional provisions. Every time you come back to the view from the terrace at the apartment, it takes your breath away!

Hosts and Location were Wonderful

Thanks to our hosts, the Porporas, we had a truly memorable and comfortable stay in Furore on the Amalfi Coast. Our hosts were warm and welcoming and went above and beyond what we expected. For example, Easter morning, they thoughtfully brought us a traditional plate of sausage and warm boiled eggs, which we quickly devoured. And on our last day, Leo took us to several gorgeous outlooks that we had missed and treated us to coffee and dessert in a local eatery. Leo is a very interesting conversationalist and a very kind and considerate host. And his wife took considerable time to explain the local restaurants and the rules of the house. No photos can do justice to the breathtaking vistas or, in fact, the beautiful apartment. Immaculately clean and tastefully decorated, the property was truly lovely, from the shiny tiled floors to the charming doors and windows. Traditional decorative touches added to the ambience. The bed was very comfortable, and the kitchen was extremely well equipped, with a nice sized fridge. It was helpful to be able to throw dirty clothes into the washer, too. The hosts also provide dedicated parking very close by. As in all tourist areas of Italy, driving was a challenge, but the bus stop is nearby, and there are many tours to choose from. We would definitely stay with the Porporas again.

Stunning Views and Wonderful Accomodation on the Amalfi Coast

We stayed for 5 nights in the Smeraldo apartment this beautiful house overlooking the Amalfi coast. The master bedroom and kitchen open onto the balcony and give spectacular panoramic views. The kitchen is fully equipped and everything was spotlessly clean. It is very tastefully decorated with great attention to detail. The owners were extremely kind and gracious with their time with great knowledge of local places to visit. We have been traveling for Nine months in Europe using VRBO accommodations and this apartment and its owners were by far the best we have encountered. If you are going to stay in the Amalfi coast we highly recommend staying with Leopoldo and Ida. If we ever return we will definitely stay here and you should too.

We stayed a week in Calypso and it was wonderful. Our host Leopoldo was so helpful, nice and friendly. The view from apartment was stunning; we ate breakfast on the balcony every Morning and it was the best way to start the day with that view. I can recommed this apartment; everthing worked out and was neat and clean.

Wonderful place with stunning views!

We stayed in the Smeraldo apartment and it is exactly as the owners described! The balcony is accessible from one of the bedrooms and the kitchen. The views are simply stunning! The apartment was spotless and furnished with everything you need. The first evening around 5 p.m. there was an explosion that startled us. I went out on the balcony to investigate and another explosion occurred and it came from the church across the street. The next evening the same thing happened and then there was a festival taking place at the church. Leopoldo told us we could have attended and enjoyed some great home town Italian food but my wife and I are introverts who go to bed early and usually wake before the birds.The hotel/restaurant next door (Bacco) was VERY good one night and just okay the second time we ate there. Bacco is also where you can purchase your bus tickets.There is a market just a very short drive down the road with another restaurant (Luca's) that was very good as well. La Selva restaurant in Bomerano (short drive up the mountain) was the BEST!!!! If we had discovered it the first night we might have eaten there every night. The salami pizza was the best pizza I have ever had! We chose the village of Furore because of the very convenient location to the numerous hiking trails in the area (stunning scenery on the hikes nearby). We chose to get a very early start on the "Path of the Gods" and only saw 3 locals on the entire hike! We were told the path can get very busy unless you go early! If you hike the path out of San Lazzaro to the monastery ruins (highly recommended) then be careful and look for signs at all trail crossings. We missed one and ended up hiking two hours on the wrong path and had to double back. The bus stop is a very short walk and the assigned parking space is VERY convenient. There is a short staircase (maybe 12-15 steps) from the street level to the front door which makes hauling suitcases, groceries etc. a breeze. Leopoldo and his wife are wonderful people who made us feel very welcome. My wife and I prefer a softer mattress and pillows and found them too firm for our liking, but this is just our preference. To no fault of Leo and his wonderful wife there is a neighborhood dog who will bark late at night or in the wee hours of morning which did interrupt our sleep occasionally. So, in short, the dog and bed/pillows were the only reasons for not receiving 5 stars.

A beautiful view from this very clean apartment

We stayed at this apartment for one week. The apartment was very nice and was sparkling clean. There is a balcony that can be accessed from one of the bedrooms and from the kitchen. The apartment is located up in the hills in Furore and the view from the balcony overlooking the Mediterranean Sea is stunning. Leopoldo was a very gracious host and made us feel welcome. We went for walks up and down the steps above and below Furore, and enjoyed dinners at a nearby restaurant and touring the nearby winery.

Beautiful....

Abbiamo ancora negli occhi il blu del mare che si godeva dalla nostra terrazza dell'appartamento Smeraldo.Il nostro soggiorno nell'appartamento è stato veramente ...beautiful! L'appartamento era molto pulito, corredato dalla biancheria necessaria e attrezzato per il primo ingresso e per le necessità di una famiglia come la nostra.L'accoglienza dei proprietari sentita:sono stati disponibili a fornire le indicazioni opportune in caso di un nostro problema .

Fantastico appartamento!

Il panorama visibile dal terrazzo è meraviglioso! L'appartamento è molto ben arredato con mobili tutti nuovi. I proprietari sono molto cordiali, disponibili e generosi (pomodorini freschi con basilico, e non solo, a volontà). Dal residence è possibile scendere agevolmente in auto nei paesi della costiera (primo fra tutti Amalfi) e salire in 6/7 minuti ad Agerola, dove si trovano negozi di ogni genere, da cui si può partire per sentieri naturalistici (primo fra tutti quello "DEGLI DEI") e da cui è facile raggiungere luoghi da visitare (primo fra tutti Pompei). E' il posto ideale per chi desidera, come noi, variare il programma ogni giorno. Lo consigliamo di tutto cuore!!! Sonia, Marco e figlie
