From the moment we booked communication was great the booking was easy, The description about the villa and pool was correct.The stay was peaceful quite and the views are some of the best in the Algarve. The garden was very nice the pool was in the sun all day till start of evening, The pool was clean and tidy and was plenty big enough. Not a negative but some cars may struggle with the drive but saying that there was a parking place half way down the drive. The kitchen was well fitted and equipped. We would return, we loved it

We stayed during September, when temperatures reached the early to mid-30sC.There were a few issues. We found ants on the kitchen work surfaces, so everything had to be kept in the fridge. Insect screens on the windows, and the front door, would be useful.The bed linen wasn't great. White sheets would look much nicer than the coloured, mismatched bedding, which appeared rather tatty. However, the bed was very comfortable.The bedroom air-conditioning unit is noisy, making it difficult to sleep with it switched on. Given the high temperatures, this was a problem. The poolside furniture also needs replacing, as it is worn and some items are broken.A few provisions could be improved. Two bin bags are not enough for a week, while the toilet and kitchen rolls were poor quality. A small welcome pack, perhaps including Monchique water, coffee pods for the machine, and local wine or beer, would be a lovely touch.Despite this, we had a wonderful stay. The house is old, charming and full of character. Kitchen is well equipped. Bathroom shower is excellent. Location is perfect, a few minutes’ drive from Monchique. It is quiet, relaxing and secluded, with outstanding views and a wonderful sense of privacy. The private pool was fabulous and lovely to return to after a day out.We enjoyed evenings on the terrace, barbecuing, stargazing and watching the lizards.Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would return. With a few simple improvements this could be an exceptional place to stay.

Indeed, we are planning to renovate the house this winter, as well as update the indoor and outdoor furniture and equipment, including the air conditioning. A welcome pack with local products is also being considered, although we already provide essentials like olive oil, vinegar, salt, and pepper. Regarding the ants, we always leave ant traps and powder in the house for guests to use if needed. Unfortunately, as we are in the countryside, it is difficult to fully control them as they often come in through open doors and windows. We would love to welcome you back to see all the improvements! nice guesthouse in Monchique

A very nice guesthouse near Monchique and very quiet. Also very good for the winter saison (fireplace!) Big garden area with orange trees. Big pool, unfortunatly too cold für us in December. If you want to hide from tourist places at the south coast, that´s a nice compromise in the mountains.

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights and the villa's size, equipment and location surpassed any expectations. Our meeting up with the Villa manager was simple and Eulalia was always happy to help. Only mistake was not booking the wonderful villa for longer !

A beautiful cottage in lovely gardens

A lovely authentic cottage in pretty gardens. A gem to find a rural property within walking distance of good restaurants. The hosts were friendly and helpful. Useful to know... If you arrive after 9pm, all the supermarkets/shops are closed, so get the basics you need or want for the night and first thing in the morning, such as water/coffee/milk before you leave the airport. The pool is a great size with lovely views. The Monchique area is delightful. A lovely holiday.

Perfect for a quiet holiday with choice of local restaurants and lovely walks.

This is such a lovely place. Peaceful and relaxing with a great pool and fabulous mature but well kept garden. The house has everything you need and is spotlessly clean and larger than the pictures suggest. Several of the local restaurants are just a walk away and the town has a relaxed vibe and is certainly not ‘touristy’. Being able to go for walks from the doorstep into the hills around us was fantastic. Pascal and Eulália were lovely hosts and extremely helpful. Would definitely return here.

Can’t wait to return

Me and my girlfriend stayed here at the end of our portgual break to wind down after being by the busier towns and coast, my only regret is that we didn’t book for longer. The hosts couldn’t be more accommodating, fast responses to any questions I had. The villa is fully equipped with everything you may need. It really is a beautiful villa, very spacious and as for the pool…. big, clean, the views were amazing, we could have easily hung out here for two weeks! We will 100% return and recommend to anyone we know visiting Portugal.

A Gem In Monchique

Just concluded 7 nights at your property and absolutely loved it. The property provided all the lovely comforts of home along with a beautiful pool and landscaping that excites us daily. We felt spoiled with all the space and privacy. Monchique is such a charming town isolated town yet 30 minutes away from the action of Portimao and Lagos. Our hostess Eulália warmly welcomed us and set us up with the property and town. We are looking for excuses to visit again soon.

Spent a week at Villa Pascal and had a lovely relaxing time. The villa was clean and well appointed. The TV channels were mainly in French and German so take a laptop with VPN to connect if you want to watch more English channels other than Sky or Bloomberg news. Set above Monchique in the hills, the villa offers peace and quiet with just the sound of the trees rustling in the wind most of the time. Hardly heard the neighbouring property at all. Only one restaurant within walking distance but plenty more within 5-10mins drive. All in all, I'd definately recommend this villa if you want privacy and quiet. Not suitable for folk with mobility issues though.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at this villa in Monchique, Portugal. The location is truly stunning – perched on top of the mountain with breathtaking views in every direction. It felt so peaceful, yet it was only around 40 minutes to reach anywhere we wanted to go.The villa itself was beautiful, spotless, and very well maintained. The grounds were just as impressive – perfectly kept, and a pleasure to wander around. Eulalia, the villa manager, was incredibly welcoming and helpful, which made our stay even more enjoyable.The highlight for us was definitely the pool. It was large, crystal clear, and wonderfully maintained – we didn’t even need it heated in August. Relaxing by the pool while soaking in those views was unforgettable.The kitchen was also extremely well-equipped, making cooking at the villa a breeze. Overall, this villa exceeded our expectations in every way – we can’t recommend it highly enough and would love to return!
