Das La Chemoliere ist ein liebevoll restauriertes Bauernhaus aus dem 17. Jahrhundert. Es befindet sich inmitten seiner eigenen 25 Hektar großen Felder und Weiden, umgeben von Wäldern. Eine ruhige Umgebung und doch nah an allen Annehmlichkeiten. Wunderschönes großes Wohn- / Esszimmer mit Holzbalken und DVB-T-TV / DVD, WLAN / Stereoanlage / Spielen, voll ausgestatteter Küche (Geschirrspüler, Waschmaschine, Mikrowelle usw.), 2 große Schlafzimmer mit Bad, 1 Doppelzimmer und 1 Zweibettzimmer. Draußen gibt es mehrere Terrassenbereiche, Grillmöglichkeiten, Spiele im Freien und einen 6,5 m hohen Pool. Bettwäsche und Handtücher sind inklusive. Eine Mahlzeit bei der Ankunft ist verfügbar, ebenso Mahlzeiten während Ihres Aufenthalts, wenn Sie sie möchten. Kostenloses Gemüse aus dem großen "Potager" sowie Eier aus Freilandhaltung. Zentral gelegen für Schlösser und Weinberge der Loire, der Brenne-Nationalpark (Land der 1000 Seen), Futuroscope. Großer Freizeitsee mit Baden, Tretbooten, Angeln etc. ist 20 Minuten entfernt. Der perfekte Ort für einen rundum erholsamen Urlaub.

Lovely place to stay

This was a charming property in a beautiful area. The welcome we received was lovely. Basic supplies and a lovely chilled bottle of wine awaited us after 10hrs of driving. We didn’t need anything while we were there, everything was provided. We had a lovely chilled out week. Owners very approachable and helpful. Beautiful property in a beautiful area. Would highly recommend.

Excellent séjour

Un très bon séjour dans la propriété de Bev, au calme et avec tout le confort. La maison est pleine de charme, le jardin immense et très agréable. Bev est très sympathique, nous avons vraiment apprécié nos vacances et reviendrons avec plaisir.

Belle maison rénovée par les propriétaires discrets. confortable et au calme. Nous avons passés une semaine sympathique et avons profités de la piscine privée ainsi que le potager mis à notre disposition. Terrasse ombragée très agréable !

Rural idyll required? Look no further.

If you are looking for a tranquil relaxing time in rural France, with all the things that French Country life conjours up in the mind, then look no further. La Chemoliere is a beautifully restored property, oozing charm and good taste. All the modern amenities sit happily alongside old timbers and antiquities. The grounds are beautifully laid out and if you enjoy self catering, you have your own vegetable plot and fresh eggs to utilise. There is a bbq situated in the original bread oven, along with ample outdoor eating areas. The early evening G&T's whilst preparing the evening meal were particularly pleasing. There are so many fantastic places to visit and Bev has a comprehensive library of places to visit, restaurants, markets etc. Loches is a must, by day and night. A real jewel. Bev looked after us well and we thoroughly recommend her cooking. A great first night meal with copious amounts of Touraine Sauvignon Blanc got us in the mood. We have stayed in many gites and villas over the years, but La Chemoliere is by far the best we have encountered. David & Carol Bedwell

A perfect get away holiday home

What a prefect location for a relaxing holiday, you can sit round the pool and only hear the birds and other wildlife. It is a wonderful place to relax and unwind. All the facilities were excellent from the great ensuites in both rooms with ample hot water to the fully stocked kitchen and then to the wonderful pool and fresh daily eggs from the chickens. This was a real find and look forward to rebooking next year.

Perfect for a relaxing holiday!

We had a wonderful time in the cottage. We spent a week with our newborn baby & it was very relaxing (not easy with an 8 weeks old!) Bev was very kind and made us a wonderful dinner for our arrival (we recommend to book this prior to your arrival, it's really worth it!) The house is lovely, very comfortable. It's a pleasure to spent time in it as well as the grounds. The fresh eggs & veggies from the gardens are a great bonus! Will recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet & relaxing holiday! Thank you Bev & Nick!

Perfect!

The most beautiful and relaxing place ever! After a hideously long and stressful journey we arrived to the warm welcome of Bev who showed us round our home for the next week. We relaxed, slept, ate, drank and swam our way through the first week of our holiday. Well worth the long drive, would certainly recommend and will definitely return!

Peaceful Heaven

What a wonderful place La Chemoliere is. Having travelled half way round the world this was an idyllic place to soothe the jet lag away in the peaceful French countryside with only the birds singing to disturb our afternoon snoozes. The house and its grounds are delightful and very well kept. The pool and BBQ areas are great for resting during the day and socialising on the long summer evenings. What a bonus to be able to "raid" the well stocked vegetable bed to supplement our meals. The house is very well furnished and when the sun finally goes down a nice place to retire to. For when you want to leave the tranquillity of the house and its grounds the local area is well stocked in good produce shops, supermarches, restaurants and cafes and of course Chateaus ! We were sorry to be a couple of weeks too early to see the fields of sunflowers in full bloom. Our host Bev looked after us well without being intrusive. The meal she prepared for us on the first evening with carafes of local wine was fantastic and started our holiday perfectly. We have stayed in many different gites and holiday homes and this rates as an absolute favourite !

French paradise

La Chemoliere is a delightful country cottage set in very pleasant surroundings. It is peaceful and tranquil, just the sounds of birds! There are a variety of areas to sit or to eat alfresco. The vegetable garden contains a wonderful variety of organically grown produce which we were allowed to help ourselves to. There are chickens which we were also able to help ourselves to their eggs. There is a lovely lake set amongst trees and grasses. The cottage is very comfortable with all amenities available including Sky TV which meant English TV was available. A selection of board games should keep families busy in the evenings. The kitchen is well appointed including a good selection of recipe books. We recommend one of Bev's own meals, certainly an excellent way to start the holiday after a long drive.

FR17305 - the cottage was just as described and was charming. The listing description was accurate. Overall despite a few niggles we thoroughly enjoyed our stay The property could do with a good spring-clean as there was a lot of dust. The washing machine did not work and despite speaking to the owner on a couple of occasions during our two week stay- we were only told just before we left that the belt needing replacing and it would take a couple of weeks. We were not impressed with the service at the local restaurant but were able to travel to Loches and Chatillon which provided lovely plat-du-jours. Loches and Chambord were well worth visiting as well as the Brenne national park

Hi Heather, we are glad you found our cottage charming and upset that you had a few niggles, as we strive to make our guests stay as perfect as possible. The cottage was thoroughly cleaned before you arrived, unfortunately the woodburner that was used throughout your 2 week stay does however create an amount of dust if not cleaned regularly. It is also unfortunate that the washine machine belt broke during your stay, and we were unable to get anyone out to mend it during your holiday. We did apologise and on two occasions offered to do your laundry for you at anytime, as an alternative. We hope that it didn't spoil your holiday too much
