Das Acadia Yurts befindet sich auf einem 5 Hektar großen, bewaldeten Grundstück inmitten des Acadia-Nationalparks und bietet einen ruhigen Rückzugsort für Ihre Gruppe (bis zu 4 Gäste pro 24 'Jurte, 6 Gäste für die 30' Jurte oder 2 Gäste pro Tiny House). Acadia Yurts ist auch ideal für große Reisegruppen mit Unterkünften für bis zu 34 Personen an einem Ort.

Eine Jurte ist eine zeltähnliche kreisförmige Stoffstruktur mit einem Holzgitterrahmen, der von den Nomadenstämmen in Asien stammt. Diese dauerhaften, farbenfrohen Strukturen haben dicke Außenwände aus Segeltuch, die eine reflektierende Isolierung und eine hocheffiziente Wärmepumpen- / Wechselstromeinheit enthalten, sodass Sie sich zu jeder Jahreszeit wohlfühlen können. Jurten werden schnell zu einem neuen Urlaubserlebnis, das Urlauber in den USA von Klippenansichten in Kalifornien bis zu Skihütten in Colorado genießen. Our first time in a yurt and we loved it! The property is so well maintained and we had all the essentials we needed. It's an added bonus to have the wellness center on site and be able to book a "float", sauna or yoga class. We had so much fun exploring the area and coming back to the yurt to enjoy dinner on the grill or stove and relax outdoors. We plan to return! (Check in was simple, communication excellent, wi-fi worked great and kitchen was simple and had what was needed.)

Great Yurt in the midst of the trees

We stayed just over a week and really enjoyed all of it. The facility and property in general weee great; our hosts made everything easy and prepared the Yurt beautifully. We had not stayed in one before, but were very pleasantly surprised. They even provided eye covers and earplugs if you wanted to use them. I did not use them, but I thought it evidence of the attention to detail. You should try it!

Loved Acadia Yurts!

We took over all of the yurts with a large group of friends for a week and had the best time- the yurts are clean and spacious and well stocked with everything we needed for the week. We highly recommend Acadia Yurts!

Zu Gast bei Karen Roper

Aaron is a Maine native. He was born and raised across the bridge in Trenton and grew up attending local Bar Harbor schools. He has worked in the restaurant industry for 20+ years beginning as a prep cook in high school then moving toward general manager. Aaron's favorite extracurricular activity is learning all he can about Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. As often as he can, he trains locally and loves sharing this passion with others.

Karen is a transplant. Originally from Chicago she made her way to Maine in 2009 and fell in love immediately. In Acadia she enjoys hiking, trail running, yoga, and long walks on the carriage roads. Karen has been teaching yoga locally for over 6 years and now brings her practice to the Wellness Center (located on site at Acadia Yurts). Karen is also a licensed massage therapist and offers services onsite (pending availability).

As a couple we have done quite a bit of traveling and through that we have narrowed down the particular way we like to travel. The biggest factor for us is having a furnished kitchen in order to prepare health minded foods to nourish our bodies and support all our outdoor activities. The idea for Acadia Yurts has been brewing for quite some time. Friends of ours live off the grid in a yurt and we greatly appreciate the rustic, romantic feel of the yurt but wanted some of the comforts of home; running water, heat, electricity. From there Acadia Yurts was born. We truly hope you enjoy our property and your time here as much as we do.
