VillaMore is pleased to hear that you enjoyed the villa’s central location in Puerto del Carmen, with its close proximity to the ocean, restaurants, and shops. That said, VillaMore is genuinely sorry to learn of your disappointment regarding the condition of the pool and terrace, as well as the confusion surrounding the pool heating. During your stay, Lanzarote experienced unusually cold, wet, and windy weather conditions, with a change in wind direction that unfortunately led to an increased number of leaves being blown onto the terrace and pool area from nearby trees. While these trees cannot be removed, the local team does carry out regular maintenance and provides pool nets for guests to use between scheduled cleaning visits. With regard to the heated pool, the exceptionally low night-time temperatures at that time meant that, in order to retain any warmth, the pool cover needed to remain in place for much of the day. Even with pool heating in operation, these conditions can significantly affect performance, something that impacted many properties on the island during that period. VillaMore also notes your comments regarding the pool maintenance visits. We have raised this with the local villa manager to ensure that all future visits are carried out as discreetly as possible and with prior consideration for guest privacy. It is sincerely regretted that these matters detracted from your experience, and VillaMore would have welcomed the opportunity to assist further had the concerns been raised during your stay.
