Thank you for your review and feedback, but feel we must address and correct some of the points that you have made. Please remember your booking was on a self-catering basis, but we did provide you with a dedicated representative who you could contact, as well as the owner. Looking at the whats app messages, any questions you had were answered virtually immediately and to the best of their knowledge and ability. Regarding your arrival at the villa, we had previously informed you that we would be available to help coordinate your arrival with the owner. However you did have the key code so your entry into the villa thankfully was not delayed, but we appreciate you were expecting to be met. If you recall, the ‘flood’ was the water dispenser leaking which was replaced with a new machine the next day. With regards to the kitchen lights not working these were not the main kitchen lights but rather the ones located below the wall cabinets. If you recall, the owner brought an electrician to look at the lights and we explained that the bulbs were an older type that were not readily available in Kalkan. The owner ordered them and had to wait for them to be delivered. The photographs are current and not old ones. The property was renovated in the winter of 2021- 2022 and the photographs taken in the spring of 2022. We visited the property with another colleague a few days prior to your arrival and checked what we could to ensure the property was ready for your arrival. There will always be something I’m sure that we miss or did not consider to check at the time. You state that there were no mattresses on the sun loungers, which is correct. These are the new style sun loungers which are very popular across Kalkan, as they are made of mesh and do not require mattresses which tend to get stained with sun tanning oils and creams and very quickly become unsightly. They are clearly shown in the photographs without mattresses. The garden area, yes we too noticed on our inspection that certain areas were overgrown and we asked the owner to attend to them. Clearly he did not, and it’s a pity you did not tell us as we would have talked to him again about it. Maybe you do not recall, but when you asked for a water delivery, we ordered that on your behalf. In most if not all self-catering properties across Kalkan, guests are provided with water initially, but any replacements are at your own expense. The cost varies depending on the villa's location and the ever changing price due to Turkey’s rampant inflation. We suspect that the delivery man was hoping for a tip rather than suggesting that you had not paid the correct amount for the water. As part of our service to you, we also provided assistance when you needed both a doctor and a dentist. Naturally we want all our guests to have a great holiday which is why we try our hardest to ensure that happens.
