Enjoy our slice of heaven at Cake by the Ocean! This beautifully designed oceanfront condo is perched in the best part of the building, top floor, with panoramic ocean views all around, perfect for a couple, small family, girls trip, surfer retreat or a mini double date getaway! Wake up to the sound of the ocean and enjoy your coffee on the balcony taking in the outstanding sunrise by the pier! The unit has one bedroom with a king bed, smart TV (Connect your Netflix or Hulu!) and bedside lamps with built-in USB chargers. The living room can host an additional two guests with a very comfortable pull out queen sofa bed with gel topper. Fully equipped kitchen with everything you need to enjoy a nice home cooked meal if you choose. Washer/Dryer in unit, and access to the outdoor pool steps away from the building with a privacy fence. Enjoy stepping back in time with our record player and collection of tunes to help you feel the beachy vibe! Use the tide clock to track the best times to hit the beach for a fun shell hunting excursion. We are a 4 minute walk to the nearest beach access, and a 3 minute walk to the Carolina Beach Pier, rated BEST waterfront dining in 2024 per Wilmington Magazine! A short 3-5 minute drive to the boardwalk where there is a ton of fun, food and shops!

A few things to note about the property:

- We are a top floor unit and unfortunately we do NOT have an elevator. There are four flights of stairs to get to our unit, but we promise the view is worth it! We like to let our guests know ahead of time so they can plan accordingly.

- Please note, we are an Oceanfront property, not a Beachfront property. It is a short 4 minute walk to the beach access, but directly in front of our unit you will see the rocks that protect the properties from the tide. Take a look at our photos off the balcony for reference.

We happened to arrive just as the nor’easter was blowing through. Turns out it was the perfect low key fall break watching the drama of the waves crash on the rocks. As close to the ocean as you are going to get! The place had everything you might need and the bottle of bubbly was a nice surprise. Would definitely come back.

I really enjoyed staying at the apartment. A couple of comments for others. It is on 3rd floor - up 41 steps. And the kitchen is quite small with a very old dishwasher. The sound of the waves crashing on the rocks is quite loud. I liked it but my wife prefers a bit more quiet. Having noted these points, I would say again really enjoyed our stay there - walking the beach and visiting other nearby beaches.

We had the best time staying here! Close enough to walk to everything but far enough from the boardwalk there is privacy! Check in and check out was seamless. The hosts were more than accommodating for a last minute change in our stay! We will definitely be back!

Great Property!

The property was as advertised. The views were amazing! We could even see the fireworks on the boardwalk. The property owners were very responsive when contacted. There was a small check in delay which was out of the owner’s control. The owners went above and beyond to make it right. Thank you so much for a great stay. Our family would definitely stay again.

Clean and sweet

The condo was very clean, and decorated nicely. It has a 60's surfer vibe decor. The record player was really cool to show the kids, and we listened to some vinyls from which there was a good selection!

Carolina Beach vacation

Well we were very exhausted from carrying luggage and food up three stories. That would have been overlooked if the property had been in good condition. The front door needs to be replaced. We were worried because there was dust built up on the vents. When we were taking a shower there was a large spider in the shower curtains that frightened my friend pretty bad. There was an opening under the doors a mouse could crawl under. It had been awhile since I lived in Carolina beach and I wasn’t aware that a section of the beach had eroded and a huge rock jetty was built to protect the property so there was not easy access but it wasn’t far. It just made the areas where you could access the beach more crowded. The condo next door had a foreclosure sign on it and there were cobwebs on the door. The views of the sunrise were spectacular and definitely our favorite thing about the condo that we liked.

We had an amazing stay! We made a quick trip down, 3 night stay, and wished we could have stayed longer. You can hear the waves crashing while laying in bed. It’s so relaxing! Such a cute place with an amazing view!

Wonderful view

Enough can't be said about hearing the waves crash on the beach while falling asleep. We had a wonderful time at this beach condo. It could use a deep clean and a few updates, but overall was a pleasurable experience.

Great view!

The place was perfect for a couple! The view from the deck was magnificent and felt very private. You are a short walk away from a pier and food/bar. The beach is also just a short walk. The kitchen was stocked with everything that you might want. We make pina coladas with the blender and there was plenty of everything else you could cook with.

Nice Weekend Getaway

We loved the balcony! The condo was super clean and the bed super comfy. The cable in the living room was greatly appreciated. Just be ready for the three flights of stairs. Slight walk to the beach as there is a rock jetty right in front of the condo. We just sat on the balcony which got sun until mid afternoon. It was lovely!

We love walking the beach and enjoy hosting our slice of heaven so others can enjoy the best Carolina Beach has to offer. Being steps away from one of the biggest hot spots on the island at the CB Pier makes any stay a fun one!

We love being on the North End of the island. The CB Pier has excellent drinks and food, and always has a fun event going down! It stays a bit quieter on this side which we prefer vs. the business of the boardwalk, but it's nice knowing we are a very short drive (or bike/scooter ride!) to all the fun.

If you are one who prefers the quieter side of your stay with the option to enjoy the hustle and bustle of the island mere minutes away, you will love our spot!

Every piece of artwork was hand picked, and we strive to make sure our guests have everything they need to enjoy their stay. Our balcony features polywood chairs with a connecting table to enjoy your book or coffee with convenience.

Being on the top floor in a corner unit, you have the BEST panoramic views of the ocean from the bedroom. Additionally, no one above you means no noise coming down as you relax.
