• Location, location, location• The beach view is amazing• Showers are great!• The heart of Captiva (easily walkable to all shops/restaurants)I would recommend to have a notebook for residents to look at upon their arrival. There wereseveral things we found out on our own that were not mentioned.• You cannot use the gym (even though it does say gym available).Washer and dryer on first floor but need to have quarters to operate.

Gym is in sanibel at the recreation center You can use quarters or very easy to use your smart phone to pay this is super easy but also stated on line in the house notes for booking.

There was a miscommunication between us, VRBO and the host with the door code. VRBO sent me a code that didn’t work. The host wasn’t immediately reachable. I did not get the code she sent which was different from the VRBO code. It was confusing. The door handle to the sliding glass doors fell off when we open them the very first time. You could tell it had been poorly fixed. The beach restoration project hit the beach right in front of our condo right when we were there. I thought the heavy equipment might keep us up, but the condo must be insulated well. We just had to walk a bit to get to open beach. Great weather. Good friends and wonderful memories. Had a great day of shelling and dolphin spotting.

Beautiful Captiva

Very comfortable condo with great views-

Wonderful location and nice condo. The view from the balcony was beautiful! The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen had almost everything we needed. Only thing I would have liked were Bar stools for more seating - it sleeps 6, but only has dining (chairs) for 4. The cooler, toys, and beach chairs were an added bonus. We enjoyed our time there, very relaxing!

Yes the views are amazing agreed wonderful to watch sunsets. In any event, there are 4 teak chairs that you can use for inside the dining room if you like most eat outside I have seen on the patio so I have never had a comment about this. I do not want the unit to be cramped with excess stuff. Maybe you did not see the additional folded chairs.

Amazing and Magical Stay

This property was perfect accommodations for our family consisting of a set of grandparents, a mom and dad, 13 year old girl and 7 year old boy.We cannot wait to return to this magical place.The owner was very responsive and helpful with any questions we had. The accommodations exceeded our expectations. The unit is a bright perfect seaside retreat. The beds were very comfortable with plenty of pillows. It was very clean and well organized which made it easy for our group to settle in and enjoy every minute. The kitchen is well equipped and plenty of space to cook up a meal or two. The view from the screened porch was stunning as we soaked up those spectacular sunsets. We took a boat tour from nearby Captiva Cruises which I highly recommend. It was amazing to spend time with family and no one had their faces in their phones, there was too much real life to experience here. We will return to this exact spot again soon.

Yep it is a problem with the cable in all of south seas and of course comcast seems to have issues at times but we are required to use that system since south seas contracts out this.

sorry to say the guest used swear language at me when I had an issue with his reservation he booked the wrong dates and I was nice enough once I got in touch with his wife and she apologizied for her husband well maybe I should have not accommodated him since this is how he treats me in return. the washer and dryer is on the first level as stated in the listing I am not sure what he means by no water???? There was water for his entire stay so again I am confused. I am not sure what no water ice means makes no sense. Yes he did pay a lower rate so he is correct about that it is priced low for the season he came. So I am not sure what his review is trying to say I did try an accommodate him so I am glad he thought it was a great location and he stated low pricing and nice place but it is not cheap everything so again who knows.... If you have questions please ask. But the unit certanily has water. It does not have a disposal that is correct. But that is not uncommon I took all disposers out due to shells getting into them and having to repair them monthly so I am sure this makes sense to most renters

Just what was advertised

We had a delightful stay and it’s so close to the pool, beachfront view and only a short walk into Captiva proper. We didn’t even bother with a golf-cart. Weather was perfect all week and we had a great time. Other reviews said the property is dated, it definitely is but we prefer that with kids and teens. An all-white trendy decor leaves me stressing rather than relaxing and that negates the point. Also, time in the unit is minimal. All we did was really sleep there and have a cocktail:)

2 bedroom loft condo

Not impressive. The minute my son checked in they noticed filthy water, sand and hair in the upstairs bathtub. They immediately took a picture and sent it to the company that manages the condo and were told a plumber would be sent over. Plumber never showed their whole stay. They didn’t let this stop them from having an enjoyable stay but they couldn’t use the upstairs shower or bathtub. It is not inexpensive to stay at this resort and there is no excuse for this to happen. Needless to say we will not rent this property ever again

Nice but noisy

Older condo but kept up and clean. Beds were excellent. Owner was easy to work with and check-in at Remax was easy. Kitchen in good working order. Some glasses we got out of cabinet were not real clean. Screened in patio was nice and had nice view of ocean and sunset. Beach chairs, umbrellas, sand toys were provided. Walk to beach was short and convenient. You can walk to a small market, Starbucks, a restaurant and a couple of shops. A little longer walk by road or beach will get you to more shops and Mucky Duck-the restaurant for beach sunsets. We also ate at Green Flash, which is on the bay. Fish/burgers were good. Safe bike lanes for miles, so rent bikes and slow down to enjoy the scenery. Manatees can usually be seen at South Seas marina (south end of marina-there is an informational display/sign in the same area). Cons: Noise. You can hear every word your neighbors say on the patio and if they're having a "jolly" time , you cannot have a peaceful time on your patio. You can see and hear the fun at the pool also. We also heard every conversation of the neighbors as they talked outside our bedroom, on the walkway outside the front doors. Size; the bedroom downstairs is very small- hard to get between foot of bed and dresser - not a big problem for us but might be for some. One bed, upstairs, is located in loft area. Anyone using this bed will have no privacy. There is a bedroom (with walls, upstairs) that was a little roomier than one downstairs. We enjoyed our time in this condo-especially the convenient location. I would not want to be in these buildings when they were full of families. Our stay was in early December and not many people here at that time. Weather was gorgeous. Water was cool but felt wonderful.

I am surprised at the review the top two floor units are not noisy I have never had an issue. If you are on the balcony you can hear people but you are outside and if there are other people on the balcony then you are going to hear people. This is not a secluded home and not advertised as such. I have a home in Exuma Bahamas on 4.1 acres this home probably would have been a better choice for guests that wish not to be near people or hear anyone. The bedroom upstairs is very large the one downstairs is small but I have never had an issue or complaint on the size. This is a great area and place I guess it is just not for everyone if you are looking to see no people or hear anyone else while you are on your balcony this unit is not for you. Rent my exuma home on a private 4.1 acres.

Don’t stay here, there are better places - WARNING - it doesn’t sleep 8

Don’t be fooled by the title and pictures - this unit only has 3 beds. I know that it is mentioned in the text description, but my party was fooled by the “Sleeps 8” and Bedroom 1 - King bed (2). We thought there were 4 beds, but there were only 3. I have never had this problem before on vrbo. I asked the owner to change the deceptive pictures, but she hasn’t - so be warned. Of the 8 people that this unit can sleep, 2 will have to be in pack n plays that you bring yourself. We had to put someone on the couch - it’s a safety issue during Covid to not know how many beds are in a unit. This is just one reason I can’t recommend this rental. This place is only somewhat passable as a rental if you have the right number of people. It has worn furniture, beat up beach equipment and tired kitchen accessories. It all needs some TLC. The upstairs shower never really gets hot and has mold in the knob. There was a smashed bug on the wall. The sliding door got more and more difficult to open. We had to have maintenance come to fix it but as our time went on it got hard to open again. It should be replaced. Although the king bed was pretty comfortable, the queen in the loft had a saggy mattress. The close pool was under repairs when we visited, not the owner’s fault. We just used the next one over. We enjoyed the quick access to the beach and seeing ospreys. The older folks liked the elevator access. Only one bedroom can be accessed without stairs FYI. The last reason I can’t recommend this place is because of the surly attitude the owner had in communications with me. I emailed to ask about a pending hurricane. Instead of answering my question, the owner schooled me that the storm was currently a tropical storm - irrelevant because it was forecast to strengthen back to a hurricane. It took 2 emails to get an answer there. She was also difficult to deal with about the type of coffeemaker - 2 more emails. These were the only 2 questions I asked and I had a bad experience with both. Maybe she has too many properties to deal with this one. Stay somewhere else within the complex, it’s a nice beach.

it is too bad the guest did not read the description I change the bedding out all the time and when she saw the different comforters and bedding she assumed there were more beds the listing clearly states in THREE locations how many beds are in the unit she only looked at the pictures The kitchen stuff was new this year There is granite in all kitchens and bathrooms and is not worn. The beach items are used by guests all the time those may not get taken care of very nicely but I do put in new ones all the time. The pools and beach are very close by as she has stated. I charge MUCH less than the resort so the value for the unit is much better than what you get with the resort if you are not wating to pay supet top dollar this is an amzing location both king beds are new this year as well and brand new flooring this year and new toilets so not surw why she says it is worn. But I think she was looking for some sort of money back for not reading the listing and only looking at the pictures

I have been coming to South Seas since my 18th Brithday. I am not going to mention how long ago that was but suffice to say that was a long time ago and I still love it!!!!

We have 9 total units in South Seas that we rent. We absolutely love this beach. The shelling is amazing. There is usually a very nice breeze and we love to sit on the screened in patio and watch the sun set. There is nothing like sitting and watching the sun set.
