Great Location

Overall our stay was very nice. The only thing that could use some work is the overall cleanliness of the condo (pretty dirty). Aside from that it was nice area and good stay.

The location and check in were good as well as the price . The bedroom king size bed needs to be updated it wasn’t leveled and the bed was detached from the frame . Definitely an update on larger screens for the TV. A deep clean of the baseboards in the bathrooms and a change of the shower curtains they had mold on them .

There was no communication with host..pics look nothing like pictures and alot of problems- closed balcony smelled like cat urine bathroom toliet when flushed would pop urine and feces out of toilet - drain in masterbathroom would still not drain - That we figured out had been broken for months because several famiilies complained about that in the quest book! place was not cleaned well at all ! we will not be staying here again

Great place for a family!

Great place to stay for a family of young and teen children. It is right at the beach (it doesn’t get super deep Day or night), plenty of space AND has extra beach accessories (wagon/pool noodles/toys/boards) that made our trip even more fun. Very Cute Condo

This condo is so colorful and cutely decorated. The first floor location near the guard gate is great. Loved all the kitty cats from the cat sanctuary. The grounds are lovely. There 5 of us, and there were plenty of bath linens for the three nights we were there.

Pretty condo

The condo was very pretty, good for a couple or a family with younger kids, the twin beds are small. The beach is very unique and low tide is beautiful. There is a nice pool, and its not a crowded place this time of year.

The condo was amazing and very clean! We loved being so close to the water and having an indoor pool since we had a little one! The owner was absolutely amazing and gave us the best stay EVER with my husbands upcoming deployment it was worked out we could stay another night this was so important to our family! We’ve never had anyone do anything like that for us so we were overjoyed! Saved so we can visit again in the future!! Thanks for everything

February Gullah festival weekend stay

We enjoyed the comfort of this wonderful property. It was light and airy in paint and decor, well designed for the enjoyment of the space. We loved the location on the beach and yet a quieter area that was set apart. We enjoyed being close to the Mitchellville activities during this weekend. The only noted issue, was some minor water issue and it looks like new sprinklers were installed and the popcorn ceiling was not cleaned up by the contractors. Otherwise it was a great location and great stay.

Rental was clean. Easy check in. Photos online where a bit misleading. It was older than photos. There was no sunroom. Remotes for TV needed batteries and we never figured out wifi password.

Spring break vacay

We decided to visit HHI for the first time and this was the perfect place! Just a short walk to the Sound, which was so quiet and peaceful. The grounds around the property were scenic as well. We really enjoyed staying here! Great location and quiet. A few minor things I would change would be to have brighter lighting in the dining room (we needed the kitchen light on as well when we played games bc it was so dim), the lights and ceiling fan in the sun room didn’t work (as well as the outlets out there) and it took us some time to figure out how to make sure the door locks behind us when we were leaving. We learned you have to keep the doorknob turned down while closing it.

Peaceful family beach trip

This condo is in a neat part of the island. We normally stay near colingy beach but saw some cool reviews about fish haul beach and decided to stay in that area this year. It did not disappoint! We found so many cool shells and wildlife! The condo was super close to the beach and we enjoyed the short walk. Our kids loved the pool probably more than anything. The condo itself was nice- especially for the price. We had everything we needed. I also liked that it had 24-7 security. The only con I would say is our upstairs neighbor was very loud- you could hear everything- enough so that it woke me up in the middle of the time a couple of times BUT i would say it’s pretty normal for being on the first floor. I use to manage apartments and I wouldn’t say it’s any different than normal apartment living. ReNell checked in on us when we arrived via text, which we appreciated. We were also able to check in a little early- which made our trip much easier (allowed us to leave our home early morning so our kids would sleep most of the way). We would definitely stay again and are thinking of trying to book in the fall off season just to explore the beach even more!

Very Relaxing and Convenient

The only reason it got 4 stars is because the walls were really thin and early morning you can hear the crickets chirping and anybody out late at night. Also the airplanes of course which is no fault of the beautiful place. It’s just the location comes with that along with the beautiful beach and quaintness of feeling like you are still in a clean comfy home environment. Not a business environment which I get when I’m in a hotel. I rather the home away from home feel. Of course the furniture and headboards and dressers have a few dents and such. If you want brand new this isn’t it. If you want lived in and clean and comfy; this is your go to. Loved the access to the beach as well!! I would definitely return!!!

Not what I expected

I’ll start by stating that I am a very clean person And I have NEVER given a negative review on VRBO. When walking into this unit, my anxiety was at an all-time high. There was a musty smell and I had to clean the floors myself, and they were black. The carpet was incredibly dirty and needs a deep cleaning. The unit is in desperate need of upgrades and minor and major improvements. The grounds were beautiful, the pools were clean and the beach was awesome. That was the best part of the trip. Unfortunately, the pictures on the Vrbo listing were inaccurate.

About an hour later, you informed us about an issue with the cleanliness of the wood floors. However, no concerns were raised about the carpet. We immediately contacted housekeeping and offered to have them come over to address the cleaning issue. Despite our apologies and willingness to resolve the problem, you declined the offer, stating that you had already taken care of it.-We regret not having the opportunity to make your stay even better. We are dedicated to being responsive and accommodating to our guests and would have been more than happy to make things right during your stay.We strive to ensure that every guest enjoys the best possible stay, and we eagerly anticipate hosting many more satisfied guests at this property, as evidenced by our other reviews.

Good but could improve

The property was pretty good and mostly as described. There were a few things that could be improved such as...there could be some deeper cleaning done overall and the kitchen floor left us with a black residue on our feet. We also did not receive keys for the indoor pool(code did not work). We found a roach(alive) in one of the kitchen drawers and the refrigerator although empty had some dead bugs and food residue which needed cleaning. It was really nice to have the pool supplies and linens and washer dryer available. It was a short walk to Fish Haul Beach which was a shallow body of water. So if you want the waves you will need to go to another beach.

beautiful place to stay

This place became our little home during our week stay. I didn’t realize when booking that the location was on an inlet and not the actual ocean, which was a meh on my end bc I didn’t know what the ‘sound’ meant. The tides were weird and the beach mucky but it was still okay for finding lots of hermit crabs with our boys. We packed up a few different days and drove to Coligny Beach which was more of a traditional beach. The sun porch was pretty like boxed in and so you didn’t really feel like you had anywhere to just sit outside bc the front porch is a walkway to other apartments. Overall, the place was nice and had the little things you need and then some, like games and all of the beach gear. The owner was quick to answer when we had an issue with the door. Our kids enjoyed the indoor and outdoor pool. The beach is a few minute walk down a parking lot, not a direct view. Our three year old has been asking when we are “going back to our beach home” lol. It’s a nice place for the right price.

This property shouldn't be listed on VRBO. It is FILTHY.The property was clearly older and very run-down. Not a problem, but not nice to look at.We went out to the sunroom to find the towels, (door was left unlocked) and were immediately struck by a strong cigarette smell. We opened windows to try to get rid of the cigarette smoke (windows were all unlocked as well).In the bathrooms, the cabinets, mirrors, and baseboards were covered in dust, grime, and hair, clearly untouched for a long time. Several cabinets had significant water damage, including mold. There was an open, used bar of soap still in the shower caddy, too.There was dirt, dust, and random junk under the beds. They clearly don't clean under ANY of the furniture. They had two fans in the master bedroom that had thick layers of dust on them. Far more than could possibly accumulate between guests.There were used teabags left in the teapot, and water left in the coffeemaker. No beach towels anywhere. Beach equipment like chairs and umbrellas were broken. Then, early in the morning of day two, we found our first of SEVERAL large cockroaches. 3 out of 5 in out group have severe allergies, and one in particular is allergic to roaches. There is a feral cat colony right on the property. There was a strong smell of cat feces, and several spots with cat vomit near our condo. I'm a cat lover, and it isn't the fault of the cats, but I think the listing should mention it.VRBO should be embarrassed to list this pla

We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:- I spoke with you upon arrival, and you mentioned a smoky smell in the sunroom but said it wasn’t very strong and that opening the windows should help.- I offered to send housekeeping to take care of it right away, but you let me know it wasn’t necessary.- When I checked in the next day, you told me everything was great and that you were having a wonderful time.- Based on your review, it sounds like there were additional concerns that didn’t come up during your stay. Okay, Not Great

While I love spending time at 'The Spa' in Hilton Head, this property was mediocre. My family and I stayed in a much nicer unit during a previous visit to the island. My main issue was the overall cleanliness of this condo. The bedding and towels were fresh, but everything else looked in need of a deep cleaning. I vacuumed the kitchen rug and bedrooms, and wiped down all surfaces with Clorox wipes upon arrival. The shower curtain liners were dirty and need to be replaced (had we stayed more than two nights, I would have purchased new ones). Additionally, the lighting in the living space and guest bedrooms is very dull. This added to a feeling of uncleanliness. It is apparent that other people have stayed in this space and left items. We found various foods, toiletries, beach supplies, etc. Also, the handle on the dryer was broken as well as a decorative item. I do credit the homeowner for stating that a new handle was set to arrive soon. Nevertheless, these issues made the unit feel less than nice. Since our visit was during winter, we did not utilize the sunroom. If it had been warmer weather, I would not have been able to relax in this area of the unit due to the clutter and smell. My family and I will continue to visit the island throughout the years, but we will stay elsewhere in the future. Overall, the unit was just okay.

We use a professional cleaning company that does a thorough job of preparing the home between guests, but we sincerely apologize if certain areas were overlooked.
