Relaxed enjoyable holiday

A well maintained villa, plenty of room and things to do. It's the little things that make a villa holiday so relaxing:- the cupboards have washing and cleaning things in them, a cupboard with tea, coffee, olive oil etc left by previous families, lots of pool toys, pool, darts and end to end sunshine! The welcome pack of bread, milk, yoghurts and a bottle of wine give you a light meal before you hit the shops. The pool is a good size with plenty of beds and umbrellas for shade. The villa is set up one of the many hills but the bakery, supermarket and restaurants are still walkable. The Chinese down in the main road is friendly with go of food and very reasonable, don't be put off by the building. A little further afield, Satari's restaurant is fabulous. It has some form of entertainment most evening and I would recommend booking. Local sandy beaches get very busy, some of the "beaches" are rocky, but worth a visit. We would return to this villa and the area.

Absolutley lovely villa, perfect location.

We had an absolutely gorgeous stay, the house was spotless, all furniture and beds seemed brand new and very comfortable, kitchen very well equipped, the pool was spotless, literally couldn't find a single fault. Great communication with the owners before, during and after our stay. Can't recommend highly enough.

Absolutely loved this villa and being out of the centre (but close enough to amenities) we had peace in our little oasis. Felt like home from home. Booking was easily made and some pre departure questions were answered promptly and some great tips from the villa owners which were invaluable for our enjoyment of both the villa and the area. Will be booking again!

Lovely Family Holiday

Casa Canela is a wonderful roomy villa, well equipped with everything you could want to enjoy your stay. The pool area is great and allows for lots of family fun, and sunbathing. The outdoor kitchen is a real plus allowing us to all sit out together whilst barbecuing. We had a fabulous time, with children ranging from 7 - 59!. The beach is in easy reach by car, and the 'La Tartana' restaurant, 5 minutes walk away is well worth a visit. The owners obviously care about their guests as they have provided more than the basics, for example inflatables for the pool , with quality fixtures and accessories throughout. We would definitely book again. Thank You

Fabulous family holiday

We hired this villa for our family holiday and it exceeded in every possible way. Beautiful comfortable sun loungers to very comfy patio furniture lots of shade. All bedrooms beautiful clean and comfortable. Absolutely loved it only complaint we had was we had to come home. Just one suggestion a small welcome pack with some milk and water would be very helpful if arriving late at night . Would recommend it if your looking for a family holiday.

Another super holiday

Once again Casa Canela delivered the goods. The new refurbishment was excellent and everything worked really well. We had some extra guests this year and they were impressed. We left a message in the book about access to TV channels the One Stop Repair shop in Benitachell have the solution. It really works. Thanks again for another great stay in your comfortable villa

Casa Canela stay

This was our first trip to Moraira and it is a beautiful stretch of coastline to explore. Casa Canela was a lovely base and the villa was well equipped for our stay - including food and beer in the fridge on arrival which was a welcome surprise given the supermarkets were all closed on the Sunday. I would recommend for a family holiday. You do need a car though to get the best out of the trip.

En uke i oktober var storfamilien samlet i denne flotte villaen. Vi var 10 stykker, 5 voksne og 5 barn fra 4-12 år. Huset er som det fremstår på bildene, romslig og store rom. Boligen har høy standard, i tillegg matcher alt fra tallerkner til sofaputer. Møbler og puter er velholdt og rene. Solsengene er myke og gode, og det er plenty av leker til barna, i tillegg til biljard og volleyballnett for de litt større. Huset ligger i et boligstrøk, men det tar 2-3 minutter å kjøre til supermarked og 4-5 minutter til den flotte stranda i Moraira. Bil anbefales. Det ligger brosjyrer i huset med tips for utflukter du kan ta. Vi dro på delfinshow, fornøyelsespark, til Villajoyosa, Calpe, Albir og Altea. I tillegg hadde vi to turer på Mercadona som ligger på andre siden av Moraira. Dette huset anbefaler vi på det varmeste.

Fantastic villa that has everything for everyone

Fantastic villa , 3 families and 10 of us in the villa , this villa has everything , plenty of space inside and out , sunshine and shade . Restaurant supermarket , bakery and beach all within walking distance , we had our own villa Olympics ,pool , bouls and darts . Highly recommended, I would go back tomorrow. Area is great, very laid back , moraira only 10 minutes by car or 50 minute walk along the coast road if you are feeling energetic ,if this villa is on your shortlist put it at the top

Helt fantastiskt ställe !!!

Vi hade en helt fantastisk vistelse i detta underbara hus. Vi var en familj på nio personer som njöt av varje sekund. Vi har aldrig tidigare hyrt ett hus med en egen pool, men det gjorde denna resa helt underbar. Även omgivningarna var väldigt fina med en tur in till Calpe som grädde på moset. Vi rekommenderar verkligen detta ställe, vi har t ex redan nu bestämt att åka hit nästa år trots att det bara är en fem dagar sedan vi kom hem! / Anders J, Sundsvall

Lovely villa near Moraira

A group of 6 of us had a great stay here for a week. Great spacious pool/patio. Plenty of car parking space within the villa grounds. The facilities were top class and we cooked in the well equipped kitchen on several occasions. Moraira is a short convenient distance away. There is a local beach within walking distance and Calpe with its attractions is close by too. We also had pool and boules tournaments to keep us occupied. Highly recommended.

Brilliant

CASA CANELA Just back from a Mid November break at Casa Canela although cool first thing it was still shorts and tee shirt by 10am. The Villa is 5 Star very spacious and is short of nothing and I can’t really add any more to all the other excellent reviews. It is in an excellent situation for for Beach Bars, Shops, Restaurants and days out to other resorts and drives off into the Mountains. The Mountain roads are heaven compared to UK roads, Hilly, twisty, excellent tarmac, no potholes, very little other traffic and spectacular scenery, they are great for driving and even better on a Motorbike. We went to a Guitar Factory at Gata De Gorgos A Motor Cycle Museum between Callosa and Guadalest (Guadalest worth a vist for Mountain Top Castle and stunning views) Altea has a hill top church, very pretty narrow streets and I can recommend the Claudia Restaurant for quality food and sea views. We also Climbed and the Sierra de Toix area about a half hours drive away has grades starting at 3 upwards so is a great place for beginners and for the more adventurous there is the Penon de Ifach which also has a tourist path to the summit for the less adventurous . There is also Diving, Sailing and Kayaking. I shall definitely be going back!

Wow

My husband and I have just escaped the miserable Uk weather and spent most of January in this lovely villa. The weather was fabulous! Many days were around 20 degrees and we only had a few rainy days. We can recommend some good restaurants including the Michelin Star winner D'Gust, best fish and chips at David's and on the coast road, Chamizo which has a spectacular view over the Med. We went to Calpe and walked the rock ( via the nature trail not with ropes as some were doing!), visited Gata de Gorgos famous for basket making and celebrated the Three Kings Festival in the streets of Teulada with the locals. We even went to a pub quiz at Spencers which is within walking distance. The villa is so well equipped it's been set up like a home. We made use of the pool table, darts, boules, basket ball hoop and even the swing ball ! We loved the place, it's very clean, well kept and so private yet close to major supermarkets, restaurants, beaches and attractions. We highly recommend this villa - it must be AMAZING in the summer !

A relaxing, fun, and over indulgent holiday in a traditional spanish villa. Great facilities for group activities whilst also offering private space. Loved the new outdoor furniture, including poolside loungers and enormous sun shades. Good location - close to local bays, shops and variety of eating places - Particularly recommend a mountain top restaurant just 10 mins drive - Pedro Malla - make sure you book early!

A magical week

our all adult group of 10 had a magical week. possibly the best equipped villa we have ever stayed in. The great location,venue and general quality of the villa made it a week to truly remember. we would not hesitate to recommend it .. but book it quick as it wont be available for long !

A super 5 star week away was enjoyed by all of our adult party of 10. All bedrooms were well equipped and comfortable. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need and as a previous reviewer remarked it even had a large supply of dishwasher tablets which was much appreciated. The poolside barbecue area was excellent and highly praised by our "barbecue man". The poolside furniture looks great and is very comfortable. The pool table and boules pitch was often used and was enjoyed by all. Cars are a must to enjoy the surrounding area and all its beauty. Would be more than happy to go back again and again.

Fabulous

Spent a great two weeks at casa canela. Really well equipped, everything you need including kitchen equipment to please the cooks amongst us. The barbecue and pool area were well used as was the games area. With ten of us at the villa there was space for a quiet read, two lovely dining areas and lots of fun. A brilliant holiday in fabulous accommodation would not hesitate to recommend this villa.

Beautiful

A lovely villa and grounds. Very spacious for 9 adults, 5 of whom were teenagers so the annex was perfect for them to hangout away from the rest of us as they had their own lounge area with TV etc it worked out really well! The villa itself was well equipped and had everything we needed and even a little more as it was nice to see some of the unopened items purchased by the last occupants hadn't been thrown away! I would recommend the use of a car, taxis are not easy to get in the area. Thoroughly recommended!

Casa Canela was even more beautiful, spacious and light than it looked in the photographs! The villa catered perfectly for our group of five adults ranging from 25 to 64, providing everything we needed and more. The property was impeccably maintained and the layout was conducive to communal, sociable living. One of the real highlights of our stay in the villa was having the space, climate, and privacy to dine outside every morning and evening, especially when it came to having a barbecue. We made excellent use of the pool and all of the toys and games provided. Local amenities include supermarkets, open on Sundays, a local bakery only a short walk away (ideal for morning pastries), several beaches and lovely restaurants. We found the coastal path within five minutes drive of the villa and spent a day exploring virtually deserted coves with rock pools and safe bathing - ideal for children .The views were beautiful at every point and the weather fantastic. The younger in the group enjoyed kayaking and intend to revisit to go rock climbing. Moraira market on Friday mornings is well worth a visit. A truly relaxing holiday, great for all ages and I would recommend it to anybody. I'll definitely be going back!

Fantastic villa

We spent a week at the villa towards the end of July. There was 7 of us, 6 adults and one child. On arrival to the villa the gates opened and everyone in the party couldn't believe their eyes. The grounds and villa are amazing. The villa is very spacious and we didn't feel cramped at all. My in laws stayed in the poolside casita and they felt they had their own apartment. The cleanliness of the villa is amazing, the kitchen has all the utensils you need and plenty of plates and cutlery. we had 7 nights here and 5 of these had bbq at the villa. the bbq area is very good and the seating outside is great. we had great fun all playing pool and darts in the evening. The pool is lovely, spent most of the day in there! The local supermarkets are amazing, only issue is you have to have a car to get to them. We enjoyed going to the local beach, although very pebbly nice to have a cocktail in bar on top of beach and look out to sea. The local Italian restaurant which is a hotel is very nice too. I would highly recommend this villa the only point I would stress is you do need transport. This is not a criticism of the villa and its setting but its not possible to walk to the supermarkets. We drove to moraira a few times, there are some nice bars and shops there and we went to the market. We drove to Benidorm one day and went to the nicer bay area of Benidorm , we all had a great day and the beach was amazing. A different day out compared to the quiet villa but good fun, on way back went to Altea which is lovely and the church at the top is definatley worth a visit. I would highly recommend this villa, we had a great family week.

Lovely Villa

We stayed at Casa Canela for a week in July and had a wonderful time. We were a family of 10, the oldest being 75 and the youngest being 18 years old. The villa is very clean and modern with everything you would need for a great stay and the photos on the website don't do it justice as it looks so much nicer in real life. We particularly enjoyed the BBQ kitchen which was used every night except for the 2 nights when we actually dragged ourselves out to a restaurant. The pool is south facing so if your a sun worshipper you will get the sun all day. There are pool toys, inflatables, balls etc available to use which we made good use of and the pool table was an added bonus. If you like golf there is a golf course that you can see from the kitchen window. Its a 5 minute easy walk to a lovely Italian restaurant at the bottom of the road and the food was excellent and very cheap. A Taxi into Moraira cost only 10 Euros with a tip, where there are many bars, shops, restaurants and a beach. We did have a hired car but we only used this to go to the supermarket up the road. We all had a fabulous time at Casa Canela and would definitely go back for another relaxing week in the sun. I thoroughly recommend this villa, it won't disappoint.

Beautiful Villa

We have just returned back from a lovely holiday at your Villa. The villa was well equipped and has recently been refurbished to a very high standard. The property was clean and well maintained. Along with the beautiful pool was a outdoor kitchen area which was excellent. the only issue I had was I kept banging my head on the chimney canopy as I am 6'3" but once I did that a couple of times each night I soon remembered not to do it again. The games room was under a canopy and with darts, pool and boules and a fridge it was used a lot. I would recommend this property to any one.

It's a fantastic family property! We've been visiting for seasonal stays since before my children were born (now 13 and 11), and it's geared up both to be so easy for young families and so much fun for older children and young adults. There is a really friendly, approachable nightlife scene in the surrounding areas, whether you want club style nights out or Abba tributes! The villa is lovely and spacious, ideal for socialising and relaxing. Plus, I am happy to recommend all of the best places to go!

We actually stay there and therefore know just how comfortable it is and are constantly making upgrades to make it better for us, plus everyone else! (My kids wanted the slide put in). We are used to bigger beds in the UK than is traditional in Spain, so in 2025 we had all of them replaced with standard sizes beds, with a King in the master. We also do our best to listen to our guests needs and to meet them during the day where possible.
