Thank you, Amelia, for your feedback and review. I would like to clarify some of the points in your review. We take guests' privacy very seriously(we will never enter the house unless we get pre-approval from guests in advance), so when you say the housekeeper just showed up, this is not an accurate reflection of what happened. We had arranged for the housekeeper to call, which you agreed to, but you did not answer the door. She did not just show up as you say. We did re-arrange most of the house to babyproof it more than usual on your request, and I am sorry that you'd child found nuts, bolts, and screws, but I think these may have come loose from the floorboards. This is a character house with a modern extension, but unfortunately, the character part of the house has some issues that modern buildings would not have. Concerning the underfloor heating, the housekeeper referred to the underfloor heating that could not be switched on or off(we are currently fixing this). The underfloor heating is a separate system to the rest of the heating so she was referring to the underfloor heating. We host dogs occasionally but had not for some time before you arrived, so we are unsure how there was a dog smell upon your arrival. The bins were emptied and cleaned before you arrived. Your check-in day, a Thursday, is the curbside pick-up day, so that might have been where the garbage smell was coming from. I am sorry that you did not enjoy your stay as much as I had hoped for, but I will look into the matters you have highlighted so we can improve for our next bookings and beyond.
