Amazing stay!

Perfect location, a lovely stay for 3 days. Fantastic supermarket just a few doors down, nice local restaurants and coffee houses. Reccomend an airport transfer very smooth and host met us outside accommodation. Great WiFi, appliances and comfy beds! The outside door proved a little tricky to get in but persevere!

This place is fantastic! it overlooks one of the prettiest pracas in Lisbon. There is a small supermarket a few doors down, fantastic shops and cafes all around. It is very central, yet off the beaten path a bit. The apartment is spotless. We had a marvelous time.

Amazing Stay

We had a lovely stay a few weeks ago. Laura, the property manager, couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful. The apartment is on a beautiful square, close to the centre and met our needs perfectly. We hope to be back soon!

Good base camp.

Good neighborhood with many nearby amenities. Bus stop in front of apartment provided easy access to all of Lisbon. Second story apartment is in an older, traditional Portuguese urban building. The stairs may be challenging to older people. That said, we enjoyed our visit in Lisbon very much.

Great location, nice apartment

Nice and spacious apartment in a fantastic central location in trendy Principe Real. Reasonably equipped kitchen. The queen mattress and pull-out couch are definitely due for a refresh, but otherwise the apartment was good. Since this is on a very busy square full of bars and restaurants it can be quite noisy at night if that's an issue for you.

Luis’ place is fantastic! It was super spacious for our family of three. The whole place was light and airy, too. It has a gorgeous view of the square. It was fantastic to have a washing machine for clothes, and the bathroom (and water pressure in the shower) was great. Plus everything was so clean! We were in a wonderful location (very quite during sleeping hours, but lots of things going on nearby). Everything was within walking distance (plus there is a bus stop right out front and a metro stop ten minutes away). There was a supermarket next door and lots of restaurants nearby.

Lovely view

The apartment has a lovely view over the small leafy square with its good restaurants. Convenient location. Small supermarket next door, local bus outside. Main bedroom, double bed rather small. Manager slow to respond to one equipment failure. Facilities ok, accessibility fine. Cool in the heat, it worked for us.

Thanks for the feedback. We must comment the "Manager slow to respond to one equipment failure". You sent us an email on Saturday at 17h49 mentioning that the Dolce Gusto coffe machine was broken. We replied at 17h52. There were 3 more coffe machines and the Dolce Gusto machine was still working. There was a small water leak but it could work. If 3 minutes to respond is slow we appologize and we will try to answer before a guest ends a question.

Friends weekend away

What a fantastic City. The location of this property is perfect. It not in the main touristy part but this makes it even better. The square is surrounded by fantastic bars and eating places and it was a wonderful district to explore. You can easily wander down through the streets to the Alfama or Barrio Alto regions or you can hop on one of the many buses right out side the apartment. Laura the host was very accommodating and her communication was quick and clear. The payment was comfortable and had everything that we needed. All in all a great stay to a truely wonderful city. The Portuguese people are so friendly and welcoming. The trams are amazing and the taxi very cheap.

Spacious, great location

Nice location, very convenient near a lovely square. the apartment could use a bit of maintenance. the manager is very responsive but overwhelmed. This is not a very welcoming place. instead of instructions on how to enjoy our stay, we only had rules, such as if we damage the towels (which are already tired) there is a penalty, etc. The bathroom could use better ventilation. The living room is great. all in all, we had a good time

We were very disappointed for two main reasons: First, it is VERY LOUD! The apartment is on the second floor (third floor if counting the entrance floor) and sits adjacent to two bars. Both bars are mostly store fronts selling drinks to the people who mill about (good naturedly, but rather loudly) in the square beneath the apartment from about 21:00 until 2:00. The apartment is not sound-proofed for this kind of noise and this makes the main bedroom largely unusable. The second issue is that the apartment smelled of sewage (especially in the back) when we arrived, and on and off throughout our stay. We were told that this was due to the rain, to flush the toilet a few times, and to put the plug in the bathtub drain. Neither of these two main issues were disclosed or readily apparent from the comments we read. Had we known about either issue, but especially the noise, we would have rented from another source or stayed in a hotel.The apartment is a bit run down and could use some sprucing up (new paint, and a top to bottom cleaning).Check in was a breeze with photos, and communications with the host were excellent. Praca das Flores is, itself, lovely and a great location for exploring Lisbon.

Great space, great location so great value.

We loved this bright apartment that overlooks the park. There's loads of space, Laura the manager is very helpful, in general everything works and the beds are comfortable. Turning the shower off is quite tricky and there was a bit of a drain smell in the bathroom (which seems common in Lisbon). You can hear your neighbors walking around upstairs (unless they remember to take off their shoes), but that's expected in older buildings with wooden floors. These are minor gripes. The space and the location more than make up for minor inconveniences so it's easy and a pleasure to recommend this apartment. You can easily walk downhill from here to the busier areas and then get a bus back up to the Jardim de Principe. From there it's a short walk through the park and more downhill to the apartment. The small supermarket is a step away so very handy. We loved this place.

Luis and Laura were wonderful hosts

Luis and Laura were wonderful hosts. They provided detailed information about the apartment and Lisbon. Laura took time to show us everything and answer our questions when we arrived. On our request, they even arranged a taxi for us when it came time to leave. Everything was as it was described. The apartment was beautiful and very well furnished. It would very comfortably accommodate four people, providing the privacy of two bedrooms. The apartment was quiet, the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was well furnished, including a great clothes washer. There is a minor ventilation problem in the bathroom, but it did not trouble us. The apartment is in a beautiful old building, so this is a typical problem and not due to any inattention from Luis. The apartment looks out on a lovely plaza with trees. There is a great cafe and a grocery store right in the plaza and numerous restaurants within walking distance. We enjoyed walking into town Lisbon is very hilly but we enjoyed the walk each day. Be sure to bring shoes with good skid-resistant soles for Lisbon. The sidewalks are beautiful cobblestone, but they've been worn smooth over the centuries. The metro is a 510 minute walk if you don't enjoy the walk into town, and there is a bus stop right on the plaza if you don't like the walk to the Metro! If I return to Lisbon, I would definitely stay here again. Very highly recommended.

Luis selbst haben wir leider nicht kennengelernt. Unser Host Laura ist eine super charmante und witzige Dame, die uns warmherzig empfangen und viele tolle Tipps gegeben hat - nochmals vielen Danke! Die Wohnung liegt nicht weit vom Ausgehviertel entfernt. Dennoch ist es am Placa das Flores ruhig. Die Wohnung ist geräumig, modern eingerichtet und gut ausgestattet. Parkplätze sind in der Umgebung vorhanden. Wir würden die Wohnung wieder buchen.
