Chiado 1 is located at Travessa Joao de Deus, 12, 2nd floor (no elevator), in the desirable Chiado area. The heart of Lisbon, a trendy, vivid fashionable part of town.
Location is unbeatable: within minutes walking distance you will find all types of restaurants, fado houses, luxury shops, latest fashion bars, clubs, theatres, supermarkets, neighbourhood grocery stores and small cafes.
The flat is a great starting point to discover Lisbon: many points of interest are just outside the front door and within 3 to 5 minutes walk you will find the National Theatre, the City Hall Theatre, Trindade Theatre and the Opera House, as well as the Baixa/Chiado Metro Station and the famous 28 tram stops. Railway station to Sintra is also a 3 minute walk. Railway station to Estoril/Cascais beaches is 10 minutes walking distance.

Chiado 1 is a charming 2 bedrooms apartment in a building built in the year 2000.
Decoration is refined, some how minimalist but very cozy.
Rooms are very comfortable with built in closets and the living room is spacious with a separated dinning area.
Kitchen is fully equipped and easy to use. The whole flat is very well equipped: 2 cable TV, DVD, 2 Hi-Fi, Wi-Fi and hot tub.
There is reversible (heat and cold) air conditioner in both bedrooms and in the living room.
Last but not the least, the flat comes with a parking place located in a public car parking 3 minutes away. A real luxury in centre town!

Wunderschönes Appartement in Altstadt Lissabons

Schönes Appartement mit viele Kunststücke. Sehr gut ausgestattete Küche. Badezimmer schön und sauber, aber für vier gibt es viel Dampf von der Dusche. Gut gelüftet mit Fenster und Balkontüre in alle Zimmer außer dem Badezimmer. Exzellente Lage um die Stadt zu erkundigen. Supermarkt in der Nähe. Bäckerei auch dabei. Viele Restaurants und andere Laden. Berühmte Kirche und historische Klöster alles ein paar 100m. Super!!!Eigentümer freundlich und hilfsbereit. Er teilte viele wichtige Details über die Nachbarschaft mit uns.

The best place to stay in Lisbon! A++++++++++

The location is brilliant! Clean, nice furniture, calm, and the host Mario is so so so helpful! The ways are realy short either to Bairo Alto (next restaurant is Cervejeria Trindade) or to the City Center (just a few steps downhill or the elevator uphill). And even though you stay just where all restaurants, cafes and bars are located there is really no traffic or noise in this little street. Nothing! And besides - the sleeping rooms are located in the back of the house facing a little courtyard. There's a small "supermarket" right at the end of your street. Perfect!

My husband, 18-year-old daughter and I stayed here in August. We had a great experience in this apartment. Mario was very helpful and accessible. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed, and was in an amazing location, as others have written. The AC worked, the street was quiet, and the beds were comfortable. We would highly recommend it!

A really nice property in a great location in Lisbon. Mario, the property manager, was very helpful in communicating with us before we arrived, meeting us upon arrival, and even printing out football tickets for us.The apartment was very nice. A very functional kitchen, nice bedrooms, and a big living area. WIFI worked well.Our only concerns were that the floors and area carpet could have been cleaner, and the main bed wasn't the most comfortable (our 55 year old backs were a little sore each morning). There is no elevator and the apartment is on the third floor, so be prepared to carry suitcases.The location was outstanding. Chiado is a wonderful area of Lisbon. It's a very short walk to great restaurants, pastelerias (bakeries) with Portugal's famous (justifiably) Pastel de Nata pastries, an incredible view of Lisbon (5 minute walk), and shopping. From our apartment, we walked to many of the best areas of Lisbon (including Alfama and the downtown area).Lisbon itself is an amazing city. It was our first time. We have been to most countries in Europe. Lisbon is now for us right near the top of the list of our favourite European cities. It's a labyrinth with small, winding, and steep streets everywhere. The architecture, tiles, cobblestone streets, history, and outstanding food and shops made for a great experience.

Un très bon séjour

L’appartement de mario est très propre et bien situé. Il dispose de toutes les commodites (draps et serviettes fournis, de quoi se faire à manger en cas de besoin, du savon pour sa laver), ce qui permet de se charger les moins possible si on vient en avion.Le gérant est très sympathique et nous explique à l’arrivée toutes les informations nécessaires et nous donne les bonnes adresses et les trucs à connaître pour profiter au mieux de notre séjour.L’appartement est très fonctionnel et il ne manque rien, pas même une machine laver et un lave vaisselle.Il est situé dans un quartier central de Lisbonne où on peut rayonner, pas loin du métro. Avec tous les restos et magasins à proximité.Une information pour les personnes à mobilité réduite: l’immeuble se trouve dans une rue en pente et au deuxième étage.Nous avons passé un excellent séjour et remercions mario pour son accueil et son très bel appartement !

Great stay

We spent hours searching for the best apartment for rent for our 5-night stay and have read as many reviews as we could throughout the Airbnbs available in center Lisbon. I can say that we are extremely happy with this choice. Great location, highly recommend. 5 min walk from closest metro station. Apartment is right off busy streets , so it’s quiet at night. Steps away from the best restaurants in the area. Host is welcoming and easy to reach out. Great facilities. Can’t ask for better. Thank you Mario!

Great Stay in Lisbon!

We had a great stay at Mario’s place in Lisbon! It suited our family perfectly, was well located, and made discovering Lisbon a breeze. Mario was present for check in to ensure we understood the ins and outs of both the apartment and the neighborhood, and even changed the bathroom light for us shortly after I notified him of the issue. Would definitely recommend!

Cute apartment in a fantastic location—walking distance to a lot of the sights and with an abundance of bars/restaurants nearby. Very comfortable for four people. The host, Mario, was extremely helpful and accessible. We only stayed a couple of nights, but this would be a great place for a longer stay in Lisbon—if you can get in: it is often booked, and for good reason I now see!

Wonderful apartment in the center

Great location and a wonderful neighborhood. Close to many sights, restaurants, stores. Compared to other places we stayed at in Portugal, this one could use some minor updating, otherwise it would be 5 stars. Both beds (the queen and the sofa bed) were comfortable. The restaurant next door is great. Mário is super nice and responsive. He has several apartments in Lisbon and we’d definitely stay at one of his places again.

Un petit havre de paix

Appartement parfait en tout point ! Un petit havre de paix situé idéalement près des quartiers à visiter ! La literie est très confortable et les attentions sont multiples notamment les dosettes de café à disposition.Il est également très bien équipé notamment avec la climatisation pour les journées chaudes Mario notre hôte était une personne charmante et qui plus est parlait un petit peu Français!Bref si je dois retourner à Lisbonne je relouerai cet appartement .
