Spektakuläres Haus am Meer mit unvergleichlichem Panoramablick von San Francisco über Stinson bis zum Duxbury Riff. Das Haus, das von den meisten als spektakulärstes Aussichtsobjekt in der Gegend angesehen wird, wurde in den frühen 1960er Jahren vom berühmten Bay Area-Architekten Edward B. Page entworfen. Es ist ein wunderschönes Beispiel für die moderne Architektur der Mitte des Jahrhunderts und ich glaube, dass es das einzige Haus ist, das er in Bolinas entworfen hat. Es befindet sich auf einem weitläufigen, fast 2 Morgen großen Grundstück am Meer mit großen, eingezäunten, ebenen Höfen und nur einen kurzen Spaziergang vom Strand und der Stadt Bolinas entfernt! Dieses Haus mit 3 Schlafzimmern (plus Höhle) und 2,5 Bädern ist perfekt für Familien oder Paare, die ein Höchstmaß an Entspannung und Privatsphäre suchen. Genießen Sie das Stranden (Bolinas oder Stinson), Surfen, zauberhafte Wanderungen auf den Palomarin-Pfaden, Gezeiten-Pooling am Achatstrand ....... oder fahren Sie weniger als eine Stunde in die Innenstadt von San Francisco oder ins zentrale Napa Valley. Bolinas ist ein Juwel ....

Das Erdgeschoss ist geschmackvoll mit komfortablen Möbeln eingerichtet. Es ist ein offenes Konzept. Das Familienzimmer, das Esszimmer und die Küche haben alle riesige Fenster mit Blick auf die Wellen und die Aussicht. Das Hauptschlafzimmer (Queensize-Bett) bietet Blick auf den Pazifik und es gibt 2 weitere Schlafzimmer, eines mit einem Queensize-Etagenbett über dem Queensize-Bett, das andere mit einem Queensize-Bett und 2 1/2 Bädern. Unten ist eine große Höhle zum Ansehen von Filmen (Kinder haben einen eigenen Platz zum Entspannen) ... Heaven on the Side of a Cliff

This is such a phenomenal property... views out every window, sitting in the hot tub watching the surfers below, reading on the lounge chairs, sipping hot tea by the fire pit, comfortable beds, beautiful furnishings, safe, private, a property manager that was accessible and very helpful... all this AND a quick walk to town and to the beach... DREAMY! We can't wait to go back...

Magical house.

I fell in love with Bolinas during my stay in this vibey, peaceful house. My only complaint is that I was there in winter and the house was quite chilly. Had to keep a fire going the whole time or I froze. Everything else was perfect.

Hi Tiffanie we do have electric heat in all of the rooms just need to turn on electric heaters it’s not operated by central thermostat need to turn on each heater. Sorry you should have called us!

The Most Epic View On The Planet

First, about the rating. We stayed during an epic storm that tested the house's coziness factor. A more accurate rating would have been: during gale force winds and snow, the property deserves a 3. On a normal day, a 4.5. The property management team was A+. I messed up the arrival date: SOLVED. A couple of other minor and major issues: SOLVED. IMMEDIATELY. Very happy with their response. The house itself was fairly typical for an older beach house. It was perfect for what it is, but if you want modern, this may not be for you. Two things some people might have issues with: •The house is very much slanted. You walk uphill from one side to another. It’s not horrible, but watch out when opening drawers in the kitchen. Management has said they’ll be leveling the floors. •It is a narrow and steep staircase to enter. Older folks may have an issue with heavy/bulky bags. But the view. THE VIEWS!! Seriously. You may enjoy different views in a lot of places, but you’ll never find anything more breathtaking. Wow!!!! Epic. Kitchen has a great collection of pots and pans. Not quite a gourmet kitchen, but quite well stocked and up there with any rental. Pantry items were not awesome and could have used a re-fresh. Big fridge and freezer. Plenty of bowls/plates/glasses/knives (sharp!) and silverware. Fireplace is on point and easy to use. Hot Tub is clean, gets hot quickly and was the best place to chill and watch whales. The bathtub outside seems more fitted for a cool bath, not a hot soak. It took 2 hours to fill. Overall the property was really nice.

A NIGHTMARE

From the outset, this property was a major disappointment and never got better. There are several problems that need attention, which were not disclosed in the pictures or written description on the property website. For instance: 1. It appears that the pictures on the website are many years old and do not show the house in its current condition, with worn and outdated furniture, poor lighting, heating, and bathrooms. 2. There is no mention of a long, narrow, dark staircase (with uneven, inconsistent risers, which are likely against building codes) from the front door to the main level, which requires the guests to carry everything up to the living area. 3. Unlike other rental properties, there is no informative book on the premises describing its amenities, such as how to operate appliances, how to take the hot tub cover off (which we were unable to do), emergency numbers, etc. 4. Several of the living room, kitchen, and bedroom windows would not close completely, which created cold drafts throughout the house through the entire stay. The windows allowed rain to pour in onto the sills, electrical outlets, and heaters below the windows. 5. We immediately contacted the owner/agent about the window problems and rain coming into the house,y at the latest, but no one arrived. 6. The power went out on the first full day of our stay. We had no hot water, no lights, no heat, and no use of any appliance. We had to forego the fireplace for heat because the drafts were so strong sparks came flying out of it. With only flashlights for light and no assistance from the owner, we spent the entire stay wrapped in jackets and blankets. 7. The flue on the very old fireplace kept closing on its own and would not stay open. 8. Because the house was uninhabitable due to the lack of power, we left early and requested reimbursement of the unconscionable, hefty price we had paid for this supposed luxury home. The owner has refused to honor this contractual obligation. Despite others' positive reviews about the house, the house is truly over-priced for the total lack of service and comfort the renter receives.

This review was made by a dishonest guest who stayed in the house during the bomb cyclone event (she stayed for her entire stay) then called VRBO and demanded all of her money back. We of course refused and her response is a review of the house intent on damaging our reputation. Obviously this home has been loved by many guests for years for a reason. We maintain the house, update the high end furniture and linens and all the amenities and appliances every year. One thing that deserves 2 stars is this guest. No integrity. Read the other reviews. She also called us about a leaking window and in the storm we sent our caretaker out immediately….

This is the best rental we've ever had. The house has stunning views, is well appointed and the location is walkable to town, but feels completely remote! Perfect house for girls’ getaway

We loved the extremely well stocked kitchen, cozy throws, fabulous outdoor spaces, and incredible views. Be prepared to watch the tides and the fog ebb and flow and the pelicans fly by. This is a special spot in a wonderful town. We loved every minute.

The View

When you enter the home, and walk up the flight of stairs, you will be welcomed by one of the Best Views in Bolinas! Stunning. We had Clear skies, comfortable beds, and a warm working hot tub, which helped us all to quickly relax, and enjoy our long weekend. The weather in November delivered, as well as the service from the host, as we were provided great communication and easy access to the property. The home is supplied with ample amenities, including but not limited to, plenty of towels, pillows, and blankets. This uniquely architected cliff side beach house will be appreciated by adults. The fireplace warmed the house and the outdoor bathtub warmed our souls. If you enjoy cooking, you will appreciate the well stocked kitchen and enjoy a sunset view while doing the dishes after. Plenty of private outdoor spaces around the property to break away, have a good one on one talk, or just kick back and read a book. There is a plenty of parking spaces at the top of the driveway, and we preferred leaving the cars there and walking to the beach (public access stairs are just a few yards down the street.) After your beach time, I recommend stopping at the Museum, meet Keith Hansen, and discover the local bird scene. Across the street you will find Smiley's Saloon, where the drinks are cold and the food is better than expected. Enjoy. ☮️❤️

Excellent Bolinas property

From the views to the various amenities on the property (hot tub, fire pit, etc.), our stay was fantastic. The house is described accurately - perfect for two families - and the property manager was incredibly responsive (and knew the property well). We had a fantastic long weekend and would definitely return!

Spectacular location with absolutely breathtaking 270 degree view of the pacific and mountains behind - really unique and wonderful place.

Wish we could spend the whole summer

The views (despite the fog!), the deck, the hot tub, the inside common area and the beds were all amazing. House worked well for two families (cousins) though third bedroom best for younger kids if sleeping four. Bolinas is a cute, very laidback town with a well stocked market. Lots of hikes around and if you’re a surfer, seems the place to be! Hope to return to this magical place on the bluff.

Our vacation rental is here because Bolinas isn’t just a destination—it’s an experience. The neighborhood is quiet, welcoming, and filled with character: local gardens spilling with wildflowers, cozy cafés serving farm-to-table food, and a sense of community that’s rare on the California coast. Staying here gives guests the chance to unplug, breathe the salt air, and enjoy the beauty of a place that feels worlds away from the city.
The home itself is designed for relaxing into this slower rhythm—whether it’s coffee on the deck as pelicans skim the waves, or evenings gathered under the stars. It’s the perfect spot for families, couples, or anyone looking to escape into nature without sacrificing comfort.
Bolinas has always been a place that inspires us, and having a vacation rental here allows us to share its magic with others.
