Sehr privates Haus an der Küste, eingebettet in Baumwipfel und doch mit dramatischem Meerblick von jedem Zimmer aus. Das Haus wurde im Oktober 2010 gebaut und fertiggestellt, also ist alles an diesem Haus neu und funkelnd !! Lichtdurchflutetes Haus mit Himmelslichtern, hohen Decken, deckenhohen Fenstern mit freiem Blick auf den Pazifik, die Landzunge, die Wellen und San Francisco. Riesige Wrap-around-Deck, privates Deck aus Schlafzimmer mit Adirondacks und Liegestuhl zum Sonnen, Entspannen, Beobachten der Wellen oder nächtlichen Sternenhimmel. Falken und Falken fliegen über uns hinweg, während Wale und Delfine zu verschiedenen Zeiten des Jahres vorbeiziehen.

Nach einem langen Wandertag auf den endlosen Küsten- und Gebirgspfaden können Sie den Mond vom Fenster Ihres Wohnzimmers aus aufgehen sehen, auf Ihrem Deck grillen, in einem tiefen Whirlpool entspannen und sich nachts von den Geräuschen des Meeres wiegen lassen die krachenden pazifischen Wellen und das weit entfernte Nebelhorn, das Boote durch die Golden Gate Bridge begleitet!

Beautiful house with stunning views, well stocked, spotlessly clean on arrival, bedrooms downstairs, loved feeding the scrub jays and had the deers in the garden. The drive to the property is about 20 minutes on a winding mountain road and the walk to the beach is via lots of stairs. The seating in the lounge is not that comfortables and no sunset but overall this property is outstanding

Really beautiful house and location. Must confess, I realized more that driving up and down mountains makes me nervous, but that’s a me thing.The house and its amenities were excellent, the property manager, Scout, very helpful. It’s a 20-30 min drive down for food, gas or stores, so something to consider. But that’s the sacrifice for such an amazing view. The walk down to the beach is a good stair workout.

We loved this home and will be back! The location of this home gave us quick access, on foot, to the beach and the gorgeous trails of the Marin Headlands. The deck gives breathtaking views of Muir Beach and beyond. From that same deck we saw baby deer, a fox and raccoons visited. The outdoor shower is a dream, with hummingbirds flying nearby. A question to the owner was responded to immediately and her property manager followed up right after. Thank you for a beautiful space for us to come and celebrate a birthday! We can’t wait to return!

Stunning house, gorgeous views

We had an amazing 4 days in this lovely house in Muir Beach. The views are so stunning, we were tempted not to leave the house and deck at all ... but we were lured by the walk down garden-lined staircases to the beach, and by hiking in Muir Woods just minutes away. The owner left us very helpful information about the area, and the house was cozy and spotless. We can't wait to come back!

Beautiful Home and Area

This home is exactly as advertised. The view is gorgeous, the house was super clean, and the area is terrific for hiking and enjoying the great outdoors. The kitchen is well equipped, and there are lots of thoughtful touches throughout that make you feel right at home. Bev could not have been a more accommodating host. We hope to return to this beautiful spot.

The views from this property are absolutely stunning, and it has good access to Muir Beach.However the property condition does not match listing photos. The mattress on the bed I slept in was worn out/springs were pokey and the metal bed frame unstable and wobbly. Multiple rush-seat chairs are damaged and unsafe. Dining table has significant water damage. Kitchen cabinet paint is peeling. Flooring is warped at the sliding door threshold, and visibly discolored in other areas.I tripped on an unmaintained drainage gap in the driveway and twisted my ankle.No window coverings downstairs (you will wake at dawn! bring an eye mask!).Shoeless house policy with no advance notice, no house shoes provided. There is a cleaning fee, a cleaning insurance requirement, and then a lengthy set of instructions for how to clean the house prior to leaving. Lastly, the owner includes inflammatory, inaccurate, and legally questionable information in her description, house rules, and overall communication (for example, don't run the clothes dryer or you might set the hillside on fire; "we are in year three of drought so don't use water"— we haven't been in a drought for 2 years)

Amazing Views

We were wowed by the location of the property. Sitting above the coastline with a south facing view. Walking in you are greeted with the breathtaking views. Wrap around deck was nice to sit out and enjoy a glass of wine. The home is beautiful and the kitchen is well appointed with all the appliances you need. The bedrooms have great beds and the bedding is luxurious. Taking a shower with the view of the coastline or take a hot shower outside with nature. The host and manger were welcoming and provided detailed instructions on directions to the home. This was a great find. Don’t hesitate to book. You will be happy. Also lots of hiking.

A Hidden Jewel!

My wife and I have been blessed to stay at many nice VRBO's over the years. As we love variety, these have been scattered all over North America. I first moved to Muir Beach in 1996, and knew this community was my heart's desire. I delight in taking advantage of all it has to offer...kayak trips up the coast, full moon mountain biking in the hills, and sunrise hikes to taste the salt air, hear the rushing waves, and see coyotes run the hills if I am lucky. Though family reasons have taken me back east for awhile, Muir Beach feels like my true home.

I built this home high on a hillside, hoping for a private setting, and a feeling that I could be 'outside' while indoors. That is just what I have. Sometimes I even need to wear my sunglasses inside on a great sunny day!

I named my house 'Aurora', after the Roman Goddess of the Dawn. As my house faces southeast, both gorgeous sunrises and bright full moon rises will greet you over the headlands, and have you awestruck at the beauty that surrounds you. The nicest part about this house is that although you are in a house filled with huge panes of glass that let you see all of the amazing outdoor scenery that surrounds you, you are nestled in the treetops and feel at once very exposed to nature yet tucked away in the most private place around.
