The property was very clean and family friendly. The view of Tomales Bay above the trees was stunning. Located conveniently very close to Inverness village, Inverness Park, and Pt. Reyes Station, it was the perfect location for our family attending a wedding in the area. Douglas was very easy to work with and I would stay here again!

Our group of five family and friends found Tide View an ideally located, well provisioned, and view-fantastic (!) home from which to explore the area. Over morning coffee we watched dozens of resident and migrating birds pass by as sunrise broke over the bay. Marvelous.Our host, Douglas, was delightful and helpful, and everything fell into place like clockwork from pre-visit to (reluctant) departure. Thank you, Douglas!

We went with our young kids and had a great time! It was great the kids room had plenty of toys. Location was nice, close to the shops at Point Reyes Station but far enough to be very peaceful.

From the moment we arrived, including a welcome bottle of wine, everything felt inviting and thoughtful. The place was cleaned and ready for an early check in on Friday and the late check out on Sunday was a bonus. The master bedroom, second bedroom and downstairs mini apartment were all nicely decorated, comfortable, clean and modern, as were the bathrooms, stylish and attractive. The kitchen was well appointed, with everything we could have needed for our stay, a great selection of bowls in various sizes, quality knives, cutting boards, glasses, plates and cups, along with a coffee maker, and toaster available for use. We had plenty of space to relax and enjoy the house, spreading out to enjoy puzzles, reading, board games and sitting out on the deck to enjoy the views. The location was ideal to explore the area, with nearby market, hiking trails, creamery and restaurants. The place was also very quiet and the views across the bay were spectacular.Our only regret is that we didn't book a longer stay!

The view is spectacular, the house is spacious, comfortable, clean and well-equipped. The kitchen is especially well stocked with nice quality dishes, pans, glasses, appliances and utensils. The location is simultaneously private, nestled into a lush ridge top setting, and convenient to services in Inverness Park and Inverness. As a final benefit, the host is responsive and generous. I’d give the place 10 stars if I could.

Three of us stayed at Tide View for over a week in January to work on our art. The view is incredible! Mist and the tides rise and fall, there are many birds on the bay and in the surrounding trees. The living area is spacious and cozy, and was plenty for three adults. The location makes it very easy to get to the shops and the trails. Great communication with Donald as well. I hope to stay here again!

What a find! Our host was responsive and welcoming from the start. The property is lovely, with comfortable living spaces and bedrooms and the incredibly well stocked kitchen. The view of the lagoon is outstanding and the property has easy access to our the area has to offer.

We had a wonderful stay as a group of 3 couples! The location was amazing--beautiful views, tucked away from neighbors, and only a few minutes into Point Reyes Station. It was very easy to communicate with Douglas. In particular, we appreciated the kitchen that was well-stocked with pots, pans, cooking utensils, serving ware, and basics like salt/pepper/oil/vinegar. Would absolutely stay again!

Comfortable, beautiful, secluded, convenient

Highly recommend this rental. It's just off Sir Francis Drake near Inverness, so it's super convenient to Point Reyes, but because of the hilly, wooded surroundings you'd barely know you had neighbors. The house is artfully decorated and the kitchen is very well stocked. Very responsive property management too. Thanks for a great stay.

Relaxing, quiet, comfy place.

We were greeted by the host who showed us in. The place was clean, quiet, cute with a duraflame log in the fire which we lit the first evening. We went on a beautiful walk from the house through the hills. It was super close to drive to lots of restaurants. I’d highly recommend this place!

Total Comfort and Beauty

Wonderful stay in a comfortable and spacious house. The house is in a beautiful setting. It is nestled in the woods. We saw deer on the property on a couple of occasions. Located near hiking trails, quaint towns, and enjoyable restaurants. I highly recommend this property for people who want to take in nature or just relax.

Serene, Comfortable Point Reyes Base

Three of us stayed in the upstairs portion of the house and enjoyed its comfort and serenity along with close access to both sections of Point Reyes National Seashore. Beds comfortable, kitchen stocked, primary bathroom heater, ample space, beautiful views and natural light, and enough interesting books and puzzles to keep the less active entertained. Owner had thorough communication in advance and during. Highly recommend.

Lovely!

Our stay was perfect! The property is just as described and portrayed in the pictures. We had plenty of room, inside and out. And the view of the marshes of Tomales Bay along with the abundant birdsong was so enjoyable. The trips out and about to Pt Reyes National Seashore, Pt Reyes, and the Marin Cheese Company were easy driving. Loved it!

Wonderful views, family friendly property

Our family had a wonderful stay at this property. The property was clean and the kitchen well equipped. We were pleasantly surprised there was a lovely piano and all took turns playing it. Douglas, the trustee, was very communicative. It had rained a few days before our arrival and he kindly informed me beforehand of things to look out for. If we ever return to the area, I would definitely consider staying here again!

Sweet Stay

3 couples stayed at the house while we were celebrating a friend's birthday in Point Reyes Station. The house is decorated beautifully with great art, comfortable furniture, good books and music collection. The kitchen was a dream to cook in....very well appointed with everything we needed to make cooking easy. It's beautiful view might be the best feature. We really enjoyed watching the birds out on the bay. Our visit was very peaceful and pleasant and the owner was great to deal with. We would definitely stay here again.
