I think this is the best lakehouse on Lake George! We liked everything about it. It was clean, peaceful and relaxing. We enjoyed eating on the patio as much as we could with a beautiful view of the lake. The kids enjoyed the little beach, paddleboat, and kayaks. Everything you could think of is there, so definitely recommend this place.

The cottage was as described. It was clean and the host was very responsive. It is a very peaceful setting with privacy. The cottage was well equipped with everything you need. I would have liked to have a rowboat to fish with. I would rent here again.

Gayle and her sister Alison provided the perfect jumping-off point to visit Traverse City, Sleeping Bear Dunes and Mackinac Island. The cute little cottage is fully appointed, complete with kayaks, firewood, a well-stocked kitchen and two full baths. It was a comfortable place to hang out after long days. The little lake made for beautiful, peaceful kayaking, and the distance from the city allowed for great star-gazing. Our visit there was a wonderful way to combine the peaceful setting in the woods with the hubbub of the touristy cities. Gayle and Alison couldn't have made us feel more at home and offered more than a few ideas off the beaten path so that we could avoid crowds sometimes.

Very relaxing visit in a quaint little cottage

We enjoyed visiting lots of amazing sites within driving distance from this cabin: downtown Traverse City, Torch lake, Sleeping Bear Dunes and Mackinac Island, but also spent a few days just relaxing, swimming, kayaking and fishing at Lake George with the kids. A great place to visit!

Comfortable cottage on beautiful fishing lake

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this well maintained cottage. Everything we needed was there. Loved the spacious kitchen and the sitting area overlooking the lake. The fishing was great. Looking forward to returning next year.

Completely worth every dime!!

Owner quickly answered all questions and was a pleasure to deal with. Most of my family have demanding jobs and we all were able to completely relax at this beautiful place.

Beautiful setting. Comfortable home and spacious for our 4 person family.

Great owners, loved having the use of the boats and raft. Fishing was fun with plenty of action. We wished there was a larger bed in the master. Otherwise, great overall stay.

Second time here and we will be back!

Nothing can top the location of this family cottage. Lake George is perfect for paddling and swimming, especially with kids, and it's close to Traverse and all Northern MI has to offer. It's so peaceful and quiet, and the cottage has everything you need for a vacation away from it all. Gayle & Allison are wonderful hosts! Thank you for another relaxing stay!

Tranquil Setting on a Private Lake

Our second stay at this family cottage. Love the big eat-in kitchen. Enjoyed sitting on the deck overlooking the lake and around the fire at night. Very comfortable and well supplied. Great home base for traveling around the TC area. Appreciated commuincations from the owner.

Beautiful Cottage

This cottage is the perfect slice of heaven. It came stocked with everything you could ever need. The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful. The views alone will keep us coming back for years to come. This was our second time staying here and we will make it a yearly vacation spot. The owners were great with communication and very friendly. We had an amazing stay and can't wait to come back!

Wonderful time

We have stayed here before, what I love most is that it’s like our lake. It’s so private and so peaceful. No jet skis, no motor boats, it’s so quiet. I like the pine trees, I like the seclusion, I love the sound of nature. The beds are comfortable, and they have everything you need. Even though we had rain, we had a wonderful time.

Beautiful Up North Getaway

This cottage was absolutely perfect! From the minute we walked in the doors we felt as though we had our very own slice of heaven. The house came with everything we needed and more. The view of the lake was breathtaking. We loved using the kayak and pedal boat. The lake was very quiet and peaceful. We really enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be back again next year.

Perfect family getaway, and exactly as advertised

What a great find this was. Far enough from Traverse City to be away from the traffic and crowds, but the drive is manageable. We debated whether we'd be bored on a no-wake lake, but the peace and quiet was unmatched. All the extra touches were appreciated, and it was nice that it was furnished to feel like using a friend's home rather than a sterile rental. We look forward to returning in the future!

Fun & Relaxing Vacation

The property is just the right size and has all the amenities to make it a very enjoyable vacation. We loved the gathering around the bonfire and riding the paddle boat. The only item missing was a hand rail from the deck to the back yard. My balance is not what it use to be.

Peaceful stay with beautiful views

We had a delightful family vacation at the Miller cottage. The fishing was great, and we loved the views of the lake from the deck, and the house. Relaxing week on Lake George

A perfect place to relax on this quiet little clean lake! We went swimming, paddle boating and canoeing everyday and loved the view of the calm lake from the private deck. The cottage had everything that we could have needed; fully equipped kitchen, grill, sheets, towels, etc. You can drive anywhere you would want to go in the area in 1/2 hour- 1 hour. Well worth a longer drive to come back to this relaxing spot! We hope to come back one day!

We had such a wonderful time!!!

We just loved this cottage...it's so well kept and comfortable. The lake is beautiful and was just the getaway that we needed. It's close enough to Traverse City that its just a short ride to dinner and shopping, but you still feel peaceful and removed from all the hustle and bustle when you sit out enjoying the lake behind the cottage. The cottage was clean and had all the conveniences of home. I will highly recommend this to my friends and family. we hope to go back sometime soon! Thanks for a WONDERFUL time!!

It was perfect

This is the third year we have rented this property. My children absolutely love it! And so do I. It is quiet, secluded, exactly what we love. The raft in the water bring so much joy! Close to downtown Traverse City, if that’s what you’re looking for. We prefer to stay on the lake🤗 the owners are easily accessible for any need. It really is great!
