This beautiful "Baycation" house is the perfect place to spend your summer vacation! (Located right next door to our other VRBO property #407276 if you are interested in renting two houses for larger groups)

This beach house is a three bedroom, one bath home located directly on East Grand Traverse Bay. It has spectacular views, private sandy beach, and is located 2.5 miles from downtown Traverse City. It is also an easy walking distance along the beach to the State Park where you can enjoy recreational water equipment rentals. We also have a fire pit for s'mores.

We provide a washer and dryer, and all linens. (bring your own beach towels).

The waterfront location makes this East Bay house an incredible experience. The green space, fire pit, and sandy beach are beautiful. We appreciated the brightness and cleanliness of the cottage. While the roadside was tricky, everything else more than compensated.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Check in was easy and kitchen had everything we needed. Amazing view and beach access, as well as great accessibility (by car) to trails and shops. It was comfortable for four adults. It’s very close to a busy street, so navigating that took some getting used to. A few of the doors (back door and bathroom door) are tough to open/close. On the whole, a really positive experience!

We had a wonderful time at this quaint beach house! Perfect for a summer trip up north. We enjoyed the lovely water and kayaked daily. Great location away from downtown, but easy to go in for dinners and coffee.

We came up for a girls weekend the house was so cute and clean and the views were amazing on the lake!! The back porch light was out and I messaged the owner and someone came right over. Thank you for your beautiful rental we had the best time staying here!! And can’t wait to book again!!!

Wonderful!

The home was very nice and clean. Our view of East Traverse Bay was beautiful while sitting on the deck, beach or the living room (lots of windows). Our 2 year old grandson really enjoyed the daily visits from the many duck families. The only suggestion for improvement would be that the deck needs some repair work, spongy in places. Also a small step stool would help in the laundry area. It was impossible to read the dryer settings. We did bring a couple of fans to use in the bedrooms. Also a couple of large garbage bags (there were kitchen garbage bags provided), our own laundry soap, shampoo and body wash. Everything else was available in the home. I would rebook this property in the future.

Prime Location

This little house is right at the south end of the beautiful East Arm of the Grand Traverse Bay and the view is amazing. The beach is picturesque and we had many duck visitors. We could even see the house from the fishing charter we booked nearby. Only thing to keep in mind was heavy traffic noise during morning rush hour from the busy Munson Avenue. Would stay here again!

Amazing vacation

The cottage and the location were awesome. We knew immediately that we wanted to return in 2025. The cottage is small (I would guess around 1100 sq. Feet) but the owners have made good use of the available space. It was perfect for us. It’s not fancy but it is a cottage. It could use a larger tv in the living room. The beach and bay were wonderful. East Bay is our favorite body of water. It is so clean and clear and has a hard sandy bottom. We didn’t even need water shoes. The view was fantastic!! We hope to come back every year! This place is a gem for sure!!

Absolutely Perfect!

We had the most wonderful stay at this home. We had the pleasure of staying next to Patty and Joe, who checked on us frequently and asked if we needed anything. This little home is absolutely perfect and right on the beach! It was very clean and welcoming. As others mentioned, you can hear the traffic on Front St. but we got used to it quickly and it did not bother my children. This was the best vacation we’ve had as a family, largely because of being able to stay in this beautiful home. We will be back!

Great little house on the lake

When we first arrived we had to do some cleaning. As warned in some reviews the house was on a very busy street and you could hear the traffic from inside so definitely needed a sound machine. Otherwise the location in proximity to everything was great, the view and being on the water was amazing, check in was easy, the host was prompt in responding prior to arrival. All in all I would stay here again.
