The Sea Shed is our family’s newest beach home, and we are delighted to share it with other families looking to relax, reconnect, and create lasting memories in Emerald Isle.

Every detail of this home was thoughtfully designed and renovated with comfort and calm in mind. From the moment you walk through the door, we hope that you immediately feel a sense of ease and welcome.

When we are not enjoying everything Emerald Isle offers, we are at home in Virginia with our family and our dog. We own a boutique real estate firm and have worked in real estate for nearly 23 years. Over the years, we have owned and rented a number of homes, but The Sea Shed has been especially meaningful to us. We took great pride in renovating and designing this home with intention, creating a space we genuinely love and are excited to share with others.

We fell in love with Emerald Isle less than 24 hours after arriving on the island.

When we first explored purchasing this home, we learned that the previous owner had cherished it as a primary residence for decades. While the home was ready for updating, we immediately saw its potential. After a thoughtful, months-long renovation, we were able to preserve what first drew us to it: the ideal size, the wonderful layout, the beautiful and shaded lot, and its exceptional location.

We especially love the spacious main living area and comfortable bedroom layout, which make the home feel welcoming and functional for guests. We also loved the opportunity to transform the garage into a fun recreation room where families can relax and spend time together.

One of the things we appreciate most is the location. It is close enough to town to make walking or biking easy, yet just far enough away to feel peaceful and relaxing. One of our favorite things to do is take a walk down Bluewater Drive to Ocean Drive, where there are very few cars and plenty of friendly neighbors. Morning bike rides along the bike path for donuts or to pick up fishing bait is one of our favorite traditions. Also, walking (10-15 minutes) or riding our bikes (4-7 minutes) to the amazing and beautiful public boat ramp (.7 miles away from The Sea Shed) is well worth it to see the sunsets. There is also a recently built and very nice playground for kiddos at the public boat ramp.

The beach access is directly down the street—seven homes away—making it incredibly convenient for families heading out for a day by the water. The beach is never crowded, and there is no public parking nearby.

For us, it truly could not be a more ideal location.
