Great location! A very short walk to the beach. Nice , quiet , private neighborhood. Very pet friendly area/house. Bare in mind, there are a fair number of steps, so anyone with issues along those lines should take that into consideration.

I loved staying at Bodhi's retreat. The house was so well designed and decorated with a really sweet history (I loved the photo on the wall from the 60's!) There were some great touches that made it feel like a modern beach retreat. My golden retriever loved the terazzo floors as they were really cool! The proximity to the beach was fantastic as the public beach access can be seen from the house. I will definitely be booking again!

This was a great spot to spend the week on Emerald Isle. The house is set up in such a way that even though it’s not a ton of space it felt spacious. The master bath downstairs was excellent. Beach access right across the street made it easy to take the kids to the beach multiple times a day and the outdoor shower made this a perfect beach house.

What an absolutely fabulous stay! We fell in love with this adorable, cozy, and comfortable house—and honestly, with everything about this place. The beach, the atmosphere, the memories… it was all too perfect!We loved it so much that we even made a last-minute decision to get married at the Carteret County Courthouse! So this trip will forever be extra special to us. We came for a beach getaway and left married! Thank you for sharing your beautiful little piece of paradise with us. I love the whole vibe being a guy grew up in the 70s. I love the A-frame. I just loved everything about it. Very cool. Feel. Played the albums hung out cooked. That was just a great experience. I would definitely come back to this this place. The location to the beach was wonderful right there right by the path.

The A-frame had all of the comforts of home, and more!! Bicycles and beach chairs there to use. Comfy king bed with wonderful linens. Upstairs, another bath and kitchen-living room combo, with a record player and great selection of albums. Sitting on the porch was like relaxing in a tree house! The beach path is directly across the street. We loved our stay and hope to return!

Beautiful space. Many thoughtful details. High quality towels, sheets, kitchen supplies. Great deck. Private landscaping. Utilitarian, clean design. California surf vibe. We brought bikes and 2 nice beach cruisers were provided. This alone elevated our stay! Short walk to the beach. We could hear the ocean from the deck. Surprisingly loud. We loved playing albums - Johnny Cash. The space is small, intentional and maximized. We hope to return. Small snafu with lock, but owners were extremely responsive. This house does permit dogs as does the beach. We did not realize and our allergic family member seemed to land his luggage on the bit of floor that got missed by a vacuum. Some sneezing! Still worth it!

Beautiful house with lots of character, and so close to the beach. There was a slight insect issue but the owners were extremely attentive in correcting the issue. House came with all amenities. Great property and the owners care about the stay their guests have. We truly enjoyed our stay.

What a cute beach house! The property is surrounded by trees so you never see or hear your neighbors. The home has abundant natural light. We loved the big drop zone for coolers, and beach gear. This was a huge plus! The stairs made me a little nervous but my kids handled it really well. Overall, this place is peaceful and bright which is perfect for a relaxing beach trip with family.

We loved our stay here. Our kiddos loved the loft and spiral staircase. We enjoyed how well equipped the house was with beach chairs and beach games as well as books and games. The beds were extremely comfortable. The outside shower was so convenient. The walk to the beach was short and mostly shaded. We plan to come back for sure!
