Ciboney Condominiums is a complex of vacation rentals just across the street from Miramar Beach. Its amenities include gated beach access, a seasonally heated pool, two lighted tennis courts, an outside rinsing facility, and a grilling area. You'll be a block from world-famous Pompano Joe's, where you can get the freshest fish and a tropical drink right on the beach. Jet ski, parasailing, and paddleboard rentals are located on the beach there as well.

Ciboney is located close to the Silver Sands Factory Outlet, the nation’s largest designer factory outlet featuring more than 100 name-brand designer stores. Also close by is the Destin Commons with incredible eateries, upscale shopping, and a park with pop-up fountains at its center.

If you are near Miramar Beach, the snorkelers in your group will love the new artificial reef called Dolphin Reef, deployed in 2017. Located just 685 feet straight out from the Miramar Regional Public Beach Access (by Pompano Joe's), it is becoming a haven for sea life. Each of the 4 snorkeling reefs comprises 40 acres of permitted sea bottom. The Dolphin Reef is at a depth of 12-20 feet. We strongly recommend that snorkelers use a kayak, paddleboard, or other flotation device when visiting the snorkel reefs. Sea conditions can and do change quickly and often. Enjoy!

Air didn’t work when we arrived. Had to call to get it fixed. Someone in the group stayed there until someone came. The 1 on the keypad code for the pool didn’t work on the outside. Had to reach hand through and around to the inside to unlock it. Posting stated year round heated pool but it was freezing cold.

Nice place, close to beach

My husband and I and our 3 teens stayed for spring break. Condo is in great location just across street from beach. Clean. Nicely decorated. A little issue at check-in because the door entry code we were sent was incorrect, but property manager helped us via text and we were able to get correct code within about 10 minutes. Bring your own beach towels and extras like scissors, paper, pen. Those things are not provided.

GREAT Location

This location is by far one of the best places to stay in Mirimar Beach. Easy access to the private beach. On site pool, which we didn't use, but nice to have. The unit could have used some updating. The couch could use a cleaning. Some wall hooks for towels in the hallway would be ideal, specifically for a beach vacation spot. Some additional hooks in the bathrooms would have been helpful. The primary bedroom could use a new mattress and new linens. The current one is older and the linens are worn and don't stay on the mattress. Bath towels were provided, but having a full family stay in the unit, more towels to be able to wash and have a spare set available would have been helpful. Lastly some kitchen washcloths would have been nice to have. Overall our stay was good, would have been great with a few enhancements.

Great location!

Condo was clean and accurately depicted in the listing. Clean. Great location to beach, shopping and activities. Only complaint is the chdck in process. We were given a 10 digit door code that was wrong. When we called we were told it was time sensitive and to wait 15 mins. Lucky for us our neighbors saw us waiting outside and told it was not a 10 digit code. I texted back with Vacasa and finally got the right code. It was 20 mins but standing outside after a travel day with all your stuff was an inconvenience. Just give guest the right codes.

Destin 2020 Renovation Rental

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was not our best experience. The condo itself was good however for five of the five weeks we had no access to the balcony do to renovations. For three of those weeks plastic covered the entire balcony windows. We felt trapped in the condo. We received financial compensation after complaining.If we had known about the renovations we would have not rented this unit.Owners have to be honest with their will be a nice rental once all the exterior renovations are complete.

Ciboney Condo

Great condo that's tastefully decorated. Close to the beach and Pompano Joes. Only complaint was the keyless door entry. It was 10 digits and didn't work. We called and it was reset to another 10 digits and after 10 tries we finally got in. It made our coming and going limited because it was so hard to get into the condo and heaven forbid you forget your phone with the 10 digit code!! On the third day the property manager came by and checked it. She decided it needed a new battery and reset it to 4 digits and we were good to go from then on! It really was a very nice condo and we had a great stay. Some changes with entering the property might be needed but other than that all was good!!

Great location, overall good stay but with some issues.

Visited mid April 2024. I will start by saying that we have stayed at other units in this complex several times and this may have been the most disappointing stay so far. The GOOD: The complex is conveniently located steps from the private beach for Ciboney guests, as well as a small coffee shop, tshirt shop and Pompano Joes. Within a half of a mile, there are several more stores and bar/food options. Really no need for a car or even a golf cart with this convenient location. If you do have a car, parking is convenient and abundant. Note: Beach service (nor instructions on how to reserve) is not included with this rental, nor are any beach towels, coolers, etc. The exterior of the building is very clean and updated, and looks freshly painting and well maintained. There is also an outdoor shower to rinse off after the beach. Now for the not so good. I am definitely not one to complain and I usually just let things work themselves out - but this unit definitely had some areas that need attention. Access: We could not access the unit per the text instructions from Vacasa. I contacted the guest service text service and when we told them that the “code” could not possibly be the 10 digit number supplied in the text they sent. The agent proceeded to tell me that it was in fact, the correct code, that it would open a “lock box” with a key inside. This was not a “keyed” door. There was no “lock box” on the door - The device on the door is a common four digit push cod

Beautiful condo & great location—but not clean, comfortable.

We stayed at this same condo in 2020. It was beautiful — so clean and comfortable. Out vacation in 2020 was topped off by our family staying at the Cyboney condo. However, Several weeks ago, we Returned to the same condo and it was nothing short of horrible — it was definitely not the nice vacation we had in 2020, in the same condo. It was not clean. At all. When we arrived (30 min after check-in — so we weren’t even early) the cleaner was still at the condo and made the comment twice on how “horribly dirty the condo was.” That was not something renters like to hear arriving to their vaca destination. All of the Bedding had stained comforters, marks on the sheets, blood stains, hairs on the master pillow & sheets, same for the bathroom, and more than half of the pillows had no pillowcases and what ones didn’t, you could see the stains. It was very dirty & disgusting. Not to mention germs and dealing with a pandemic. The sliding glass door greeted us with dirt & fingerprints everywhere & a very stained up & dirty couch /couch pillows. The couch had a stench to it and we weren’t able to use the couch the entire week we were there. The living room rug was also very stained up. The bathroom decor, door handles, floors, shower/tub all didn’t look as if it’s been cleaned in a very long time— very dusty. Floors were in the same poor condition with not being clean. There was extra bedding in the closet that was all disarray and clearly had been used so we couldn’t even use that bedding to get us through. Immediately We had to wash all of the towels that the condo provided to ensure we were using clean towels. So frustrating as We had no longer unloaded our vehicle after a 13 hour drive and couldn’t even relax and unpack our suitcases or bags. We had to clean the condo before we could unpack. We contacted TurnKey management and was guided to Susann. She was less than helpful and didn’t seem to want to help make our stay any better. She reminded us that it was a Saturday and that she could only supply us with 4 pillows that evening and she would have a cleaner come out to switch out the bedding and pillows. We left so that they could switch it all out— only to return to the same nasty comforters stained up. We then reached back out to turnkey to let them know. We were told that most likely we wouldn’t be able to get anymore assistance until Monday.

Great place to stay

Great property that is conveniently located to Pompano Joes. Decor and amenities were fantastic. For us the only downfall was the picture online shows a sectional and the sofa in the condo is a standard couch. Seems silly but I like the idea of our family of four being able to watch a show together at night after a long day on the beach.

Loved the neighborhood

I loved the neighborhood & how it was centrally located to everything. The private beach made it perfect for social distancing. We couldn’t find a roll of toilet paper or paper towels anywhere. So make sure you stop at a truck stop if you gotta go after a long road trip :) Also the kitchen could’ve been a tad bit cleaner.

Family Vacation

The rental process for this property exceeded our expectations. The property was clean and is decorated in a modern coastal vibe. Only wish access to the beach was some type of ramp system. We had a very difficult time getting our "beach buggy" to the beach due to the steep set of stairs. Previous resorts and places we have stayed have had small boardwalks or ramp systems. Beach was beautiful and very clean. Lifeguards would be a plus but can't have it all.

Clean and convenient

Everything was clean when we arrived. It was a tad bit farther off the beach than I prefer but was easy access to the beach.
