The space
Steps from Love Street, the Canyon Country Store and Café, and Pace restaurant, the Lodge is situated above the street, providing privacy and treetop views. (Note: The home is accessible via stair access with railings.)

“Painted Lady Lodge” began life as a rustic, charming cottage in the 1920s – perhaps serving as a hunting cabin or weekend getaway. Now, one century and many updates later, this two-bedroom, two-bathroom house marries the Canyon’s rich history with modern-day efficiency and colorful details.

Welcome to a peaceful hideaway that combines the earthy vibe of Laurel Canyon with the timeless appeal of a mid-century creative sanctuary. Centrally located between West Hollywood and Studio City, yet offering a quiet and secluded feeling, removed from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Entering the Lodge, you’ll be greeted by clean, Bohemian-style lines and abundant natural light. The kitchen is outfitted with all new appliances, cabinetry, and hanging shelves. Across the kitchen counter is the spacious living room, with its dual-pane front windows and striking Baltic Birch paneled walls. Treetop and mountainside views abound.

The primary bedroom has a queen-sized bed and en-suite bathroom that draw inspiration from the flora and fauna of the Canyon, offering a verdant refuge for lazy mornings and cozy nights.

The second bedroom doubles as a sunlit office, where guests can take advantage of the Lodge’s Fiber Internet on “work from home” days. This space also features a fold-out couch and the second ensuite bathroom.

The gorgeously landscaped front and back yard are enclosed by fencing and a wall of African Fern Pines. Host visitors in the outdoor sitting/dining area under twinkling string lights.

Additional amenities include an in-unit washer and dryer, and 1–2 unrestricted street parking spots available directly in front of the property on Kirkwood Drive.
