Hello Thank you for your review. The pool is 1.5M deep at the deep end. It is described as a splash pool in the advertisement. The channeled area is shallow for children. If you had asked we could have directed you to our villa with a much bigger pool. John

Thank you for your review. not sure where you looked for Taxis but Taxis are available in the area, there is a garage just down the road and many drivers are close. they can also provided timed pickups and give you there local/business numbers to call. There is also a bus stop almost outside the villa.

Hello Thank you for your review. Yes we made a mistake with the cot. All the items we mentioned to you should have been in the villa but Gina was unable to find them as they were missing, the cot arrangement was a last minute get around. The villa now has a new cot, mattress and bedding. You mention that our instructions had a lot of don’ts it is a shame that you did not read them. One of the don’ts. We do clearly state not to hire a low vehicle for use on the island as it will restrict access to many of the locations you want to visit. We or other guests have no trouble entering or leaving the property because they have read the instructions. we usually hire a Vauxhall Corsa. eg. if you had tried the car park at the palace gardens you would have not got in. Another of the don’ts. Make sure you have the villa instructions with you, you sent your wife and children in a TAXI to the house without providing the correct information to the driver, while you went of someplace else, leaving our representative to help your wife. Another don’t. We state that if you find anything wrong or breakages in the villa that you report them to our representative, you however left all your complaints to your review. There was a slow water leak on the cold water pipe that feeds the lower floor This pooled behind the wall in the bedroom and caused small damp seepages in the laundry room. The damage was mostly due to salt activity in the plaster. If you had looked closely you would have seen white crystals of salt in the damage. This is a problem with the unwashed aggregates on the island. The pooling in the wall of the bedroom did progress to some algae and fungus. You should have reported this as soon as you found it, we are glad that the water leak did not flood the villa. Plumbers and decorators are waiting to do modifications and repairs. We are sorry the colour scheme of the house did not meet your tastes, but you obviously did not look at the interior pictures of the villa when booking. Then feel fit to make petty complaints. The curtains. We are sorry that these were a bit frayed in the living room, this is caused by people being to lazy to draw them and running into the villa wet from being in the swimming pool. If these upset you so much we have numerous brand new replacements in the villa and could have been changed for you, if you had spoken to our representative. We are sorry you could not lay in bed and use the internet we have not had this complaint before as most guests want to spend their holiday exploring the island. We will look into a repeater for upstairs, as long it is easy use and tamper free. Your complaints about humidity, well you booked your break on a SUB TROPICAL island, climate humidity is something you have to live with and it causes all sorts of problems in all of the buildings on the island. Hot air close to the sea + cool building interiors = condensation. This can be alleviated with air conditioning but this has to be run all year round, is expensive and not green has to be maintained and cleaned. It would also greatly increase rental costs which we try and keep as low as possible. The turnaround time for guests leaving and arriving at the villa is approx. 4 hours hence cleaning is the priority. This is why we ask all guests to report anything that is not working or damaged. (You failed) there were spare shower heads at our other villa. The stains on the family shower room tray are due to reactions to the chemicals in the water supply and not dirt. The soft play mats in the playroom were not dirty, the black comes from the mats breaking down in the humid and hot environment, these have been removed and we will replace with light coloured ones when available, thank you for pointing this out to us as we do not play on them. As for the villa being a Cash Cow well you are entirely wrong, the rental is kept affordable to our guests and usually just covers the yearly running and maintenance costs. I heard you were buying a villa in the north (where it is wetter and more damp) if you are thinking of renting you will soon find that it is not a get rich quick project. You will also find everything has to be simple for guests. It is a shame that you were unable to make us aware of these problems during your stay. Must have slipped your mind but you remembered them when you got home. Sorry to have held your deposit return but from previous experience bad reviews have been left to hide damage the guests have done to the property. This has now been refunded. Mr Mrs JM Melhuish
