We arrived on the island on the same day as the guests to the happy sound of rain. It did not last long and in 2 days we were back to sun and hazy clouds coming of the sea. Thank you for your review. Guests left something behind and is scheduled for return when we get home.

Hello Thank you for your review. The instructions we send to all guests tells you how to switch from solar to electricity water heating 30 mins gives you a full tank of hot water eg 380 litres. You are told the maximum power consumption is 40 AMPs or 9.600 Watts (this what is normally supplied to T3,s). Hence when you are using too much electricity and you turn something else on the circuit breaker will switch the supply off. This is also explained to you in our instructions.

Thank you for your review. Anyone reading this we suggest double cable car booking for the Palace and Botanical gardens as this is the cheapest way to visit these attractions. You need to start early as this would be a full day.

We have tried all types of seats and benches but none seem to servive for very long. Either guests brake them, missunderstand them, or leave them out in bad weather. Sun umbrellers last about a month.

Hello Thank you for your review. One must consider that the rural environment is not as quite as one thinks. The location is very quiet with little to no background noise that you would get in a city or suburb so you hear noises you do not usually hear at night. In late spring you can even hear the toads calling from the water way and pools about 200M further up the hill.

We do remind guests that this is a subtropical island in the Atlantic ocean, humidity will be an issue all year round and effects the inside of most buildings, unlike a lot of properties we do not use scented products to hide the natural smells due to guest allergy problems. We do state that the property is in a rural environment and guest coming from cities and large towns just do not realise due to the quiet of this environment how much more you can hear. We always leave the windows open and have no problems. You can even hear the frogs croaking in the local stream 400M up the road in spring.

This guest lost their deposit and is therefore not happy. Damage to villa and service costs total 700 Euros Villa was not left in clean condition. Rubbish in all bins, toiletry products in toilet bins, clothes dryer unclean and not serviced full of water etc , Oven dirty, specialist cleaner had to be arranged etc etc Door frame to one of the bedrooms had a large long deep scratch almost top to bottom. Wiring removed from sound system, internet, left speaker had wires pulled/removed out, damaged socket requiring speaker to be replaced. Guest reported that the kitchen sink was blocked and the family toilet was not functioning on a Saturday afternoon. It took our representative, cleaner and us back in the UK some time to sort a plumber to attend. Guests then cancelled the repair Saturday evening saying nothing was wrong everything was OK nothing to worry about just our representative panicking, and they were going out. Guests then reports the same fault late on Sunday and demands a plumber to be sent out on Monday morning. Plumber now not interested so our representative and cleaners husband attended Monday evening. Sink blocked with food waste, foul drain blocked with excessive toilet tissue, foul water above ground. Guest denies this but was not actually there, again, but a friend (stranger) who was in the villa was unable to communicate. Organising this cost money and all of our late afternoon and evening family time. Then to cancel it and cry wolf again the next day is not suitable. Guest requested more heaters as cold, on supplying heaters (they had 2 villas worth) villa was found with windows and main doors all open?? We also had continuous sightings of strangers arriving and leaving the villa with suitcases, and unknown people found in the villa. One excuse was they were having a party (which are not allowed). Guest was also conducting a business during there stay lots of guests work on the computers, but the strange people were a worry. Guests were notified of broken basket ball hoop (3rd one in a year) this item was also so dangerous the guests tapped it to the railings on the lower terrace. (Photographs, video evidence, communications logs available). Guest also assumes we control the weather. Do we need to say more.
