Seaside getaway!

This was a great little cottage for our getaway. The size and location were perfect for the 2 of us. Loved the bikes that were provided for our morning bike rides! Enjoyed coffee on the back porch and the bed and couch were both comfortable. This home was very clean and steps away from everything we wanted to do.

Tiny but mighty

We loved this little cottage!! It was perfect for just the two of us. Great location in Seaside - super easy to get to everything!! The bikes provided were amazing and made it super easy to get around town and to the beach. We would absolutely stay here again. Thank you for a wonderful Seaside experience.

Girls Getaway

This house was perfectly located. We could walk to everything we needed to even the grocery store after a long day in the car! Cute little hideaway for 2 people. Pools are just a short walk nearby. When I come back next summer, I hope I can snag this place again!

Perfect for 2!

Great place for 2 people to say in! Super short bike ride or walk into the town square/beach that has everything you need! Everything was exactly as pictured, except there was not a tv upstairs like the listing said. The chapel next door has outdoor lights that stayed on all night, and did slightly shine through the blinds upstairs. We can’t wait to come back and visit!

Great, quiet location; generally good accommodations.

I would recommend this property but general maintenance attention needs to improve. It should be noted that this unit does not have a dish washer. Also, it is really not cut out for people that plan/want to cook.

Overall, the cottage was perfect. We had a great time. A few updates are in order. The back door is rotten. The bed could use a much better mattress. It felt like old schoWe had to buy a memory foam topper.

Every hour visit

The location is fabulous! Nice short walk to the beach, great area for bike riding, etc… The house was as expected as far as size however, the cleanliness was not a five star, the cooking pots and pans under the kitchen sink did not feel very sanitary. Also, the bathroom did not feel very clean. The ceiling needs some touch up paint etc. one suggestion would be to maybe put some rug pads down. The rugs slide everywhere as you walk on them in the house. Sandpiper was AMAZING! Communication was the best! I would definitely book through sandpiper again!!

Tight Squeeze

When we arrived the small yard was disorderly. There was a shop vac, a half full bag of concrete, construction trash, and beach towels scattered around (it stayed this way for entire stay). Some Path lights were broken and/or kicked over. The string lights on the patio didn’t appear plug into anything. Inside was nice and clean, but it was a tight squeeze, especially the kitchen and bathroom. Smallest shower I’ve ever used. Kitchen had very limited utensils. The location was great. The pools and gym in neighborhood were really nice. Easy access to beach via bike. Both bikes that came with property got flat tires during the stay. Overall, experience didn’t seem great for the price.

Thanks for the review and apologies for the yard. Contractors were in and out of the main house and this house for several months and the clean up was not finished. This has since been resolved. A new couch is now in the home and the bathroom, although small was completely gutted and remodeled. Pictures will be updated soon. Thanks for staying with us!

The shower curtain needs replacing , new pillow cases , hooks to hang jackets .

The cottage is cute but I feel like there are needed improvements. Hooks downstairs would be nice to hang jackets .. the shower curtain needs to be thrown away and replaced . It has mold on the tabs. The shower is extremely small , very difficult to wash hair, shave your legs bc of limited amount of room to raise your arms . Bathroom smelled moldy and possibly mold on tile of shower . A piece of furniture in bedroom to hang clothes instead of the portable rack (?) that was there. Chairs on deck outside of bedroom would be nice. The decks would have looked better and overall would have looked well kept and maintained if they had been blown off . Overall if was good but feel like there are some updating needed and attention given to things that should have been replaced or attended to . We appreciated the wine and the coffee that Brian gave us . That was very thoughtful and kind .

Needs Updating!!

We LOVE the Seaside area and have been vacationing there for years. We were a little disappointed in the "Every Hour" property. Two burners on the stove did not work, the refrigerator was very loud when it was running, (lots of frost buildup in the freezer) and the furniture in the living room was old and uncomfortable. There was no inside table to sit at. No dishwasher. Nails where pictures had been on the wall but removed. Also, the outside grill was disgusting. Dried on food from previous people who used it. Would have been better not to even have a grill!! Not what we would have expected from a Seaside property especially since there are other rentals of this size and price in Seaside. I would suggest doing a major update of the property to make it more comfortable/desirable for renters. On the positive side, "Every Hour" is in a great location...convienient to all the Seaside shops and activities. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was very small, but this was expected. The property was clean. We will definetely be back to the Seaside area again next year although at a different propery.

Thank you very much for your feedback. We are terribly sorry about the fridge and stove problems. We fixed the stove and replaced the fridge immediately. We have also looked into putting in a new little love seat in the family room and bar stools to accommodate those wanting to eat at the counter. Also worth noting is the teak table and chairs for dining 'Al fresco' on your own private balcony. We have also addressed the grill cleanliness with housekeeping and assure you that will not be an issue either. Again, we're sorry for the complications during your stay, but rest assure we take our guest feedback seriously and want to ensure all guests enjoy their stay at our lovely guest cottage.

Please Read this Honest Review

You may be scrolling through all the rave reviews on this property, but do not listen to them! My boyfriend and I were supposed to stay at this home last week, but we had to move out and stay at a hotel on the first night because there was black mold in the shower and around the air vents. Not only that, but there was a stale/moldy smell in the house from the moment we walked in. Aside from that, this place is TINY! I don’t mean cute and quaint, I mean my first apartment was larger than this place. It says it’s for 2 guests, but I would say it is only comfortable for one. The bottom and top porches were cute, but the chairs were so dirty and not screened in so bugs were everywhere. Ladies, there is no vanity or space to lay out your suitcase, so not sure how y’all would manage to stay here for several days. The shower is so tiny, there is no room to turn around and not even a shelf to put toiletries on. There is also no closet whatsoever, just a small rack to hang 1 or 2 things on. I am not hating sandpiper rentals, because we contacted them upon finding the mold issue, and they addressed the mold and put us into another rental immediately. Their communication was awesome as well. The location was great and the bikes were a nice touch, but there is a lack of privacy being that you have to walk through the shared property of the main house to enter. Unfortunately, there was a gross lack of attention to the condition of the house prior to our arrival.

Thank you for your review and sorry this home didn't seem to fit your wants/needs. This home is, exactly as pictured. It is small, but portrayed exactly as is in photos and is actually quite quaint and cute. The smallest part of the home is the bathroom, and there is an additional outdoor enclosed shower to use as an additional option. Mildew, not mold, is common in the bathrooms of homes along the beach, especially around the air vents. It is easily removed; however this should have been caught before your arrival, and taken care of. We are glad you still enjoyed our vacation in Seaside!

Perfect for us

This place was perfect for my husband and I. We didn't spend much time at the house because we were there for the beaches and to see the area. Everywhere we went was absolutely beautiful and the people were very friendly. We found the free trolleys the first day and they were awesome because we could just walk to the stop from the house and take it over and catch the trolley to Grayton Beach and not have to try to find parking! The bikes were an added bonus too! Like I said before, the house was perfect for us but I would like to mention that it is definitely not for everyone. The stairs would be hard for anyone that has a hard time getting around (knee issues, etc.) because it is a narrow, spiral staircase. The other obstacle would be the shower. I don't think I'm a big person at all and I still had a tough time. You definitely can't shave your legs without being creative ladies. Lol. With that being said, though, these things are mentioned (with pictures) in the listing. The only "issue" we had was not getting a front door code. We waited until 4pm on check-in day (Sunday), thinking that's when they would send it because we received lots of emails/correspondences about the strict policy of not checking in early but we never received one. I tried calling the phone number and they are closed on Sunday's. So, had I not been able to get a hold of the maintenance guy and get a code I don't know what we would have done. I left a message on the answering machine letting them know we didn't have a door code and never heard anything back from them the entire stay. That is the only reason for the lower rating. All in all, the place was very nice. The area was beautiful and we had a great stay! We would consider staying here again, if we are ever in the area.
