This Salmon studio-style one bedroom cottage has a queen bed, kitchenette, screened porch and a private tiled bath.
Start your morning with a hot cup of coffee while watching the sunrise or sunset over the lake. Enjoy free use of Kayaks and paddle boards during your stay. In the evening enjoy the stainless gas grill for dinner or just sit by the camp fire toasting marshmallows with your family after a day of adventures!

We actually wanna bring our adult kids up and do a family week :) We got to venture out on the lake a lot more this year kayaking and that was the best!! Since it was our second summer here so we brought a few things from home for the chilly evenings like extra blanket, slippers, our doggies their beds, We always eat-in so a cooler with all our routine food stuffs (minus meat/fresh veggies we buy at the local Hannafords for the BBQ) jic it won’t all fit in the mini fridge lol, and the camp fires are fun so we brought wood/log starters. We’re looking forward to our next visit! :)

This was exactly what we needed. Other than it being next to a busy street, it was perfect. We stayed in the salmon cottage. It had everything we needed, counter space, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, 2 burner stove and sink. It was very clean.The outside had a nice firepit, grill, chairs and picnic table. Our hostess, Nancy was so friendly and greeted us with a mug which has a picture of their logo. I loved how thoughtful that was and am glad we have a memento. We'd love to come back with the grandkids!

The Hosts were amazing ! They did everything humanly possible to make our stay perfect! The cabins are campy in the very best way! ( don’t expect a 5 star hotel, as that is not the experience people are looking for here)Lee was up in the morning cleaning out the used fire pits. Nancy and her son( oh my gosh his name won’t come to me as I write this ) are there everyday on property. With a big smile and the best NH hospitality. We had a TINY issue that they couldn’t have expected, They were right there to correct it. We are looking into coming next year! By the way, the lake was perfect swimming temperature thank you Nancy and family you are amazing hosts!

Little Oasis

This place was private, relaxing vacation spot. I see why people return, because its just so nice. The pictures online does no justice for how serene this place is. On top of have kind, and accommodating property owners. I will be coming back and becoming a regular.

Room was clean and just like advertised. Enjoyed the kayaks supplied to go out on the lake. Would recommend to stay here. Only downside is the size of the fridge. Would have liked a freezer.

Perfect Getaway

I cannot say enough good things about this experience! I brought my girlfriend here for her birthday and we had a blast. Not only were the cabins cozy and facing the water but they were clean and had a modern feel. The hosts have boats, kayaks, and paddleboards for guests to use and we had a blast. When we first got there they suggested a vegan restaurant in Concord after hearing my girlfriend was vegan and we ended up going there and it was fantastic! Kind people, great hosts, awesome getaway close to many beautiful walking trails!

The Barton/Gill Family Reunion

We had a fantastic time! 18 family members stayed in the "big old wonderful house" (and had room to turn around!) We canoed, kayaked, swam, grilled, ordered steamed lobsters locally, had smores by the camp fire, took naps on the swing, sat peacefully by the lake and vowed to return and do all it again! Family came from Florida, Ohio, South Carolina, Maine and New Hampshire for a reunion and the Cottages at Harvey Lake was the perfect setting. Thank You, our gracious hosts, Lee and Nancy. This is your warning...we're coming back!!

Weekend getaway with the dogs

We went to the lake for a long weekend, Friday to Monday with our two dogs. The cabin had everything we needed, we got a one bedroom cabin (pink), and the dogs seemed to feel right at home as well. Saturday was fun for the dogs, playing with the owner's boxer and going canoeing to the island. The place was booked out Saturday night and Sunday night, so the larger group took over the beach area with the children, but we still snuck in a quick swim for the dogs. The owners were great and quick to answer any questions. The kayaking was great, and it was easy to access the boats to use whenever we wanted. The price was very reasonable and it was just right for a weekend away, on the lake.

Best DEAL Out There

"This is our 3rd year renting at the Cottages at Harvey Lake. We have a fantastic time everytime, and it keeps on getting better.. The owners of the place will bend over backwards to ensue that you have a great time. We have stayed at the big house and the cottages. They all have a beautiful view of the lake. The fishing is fantastic. Our 10 year old caught 25 fish, and our neice caught the grandaddy of them all. It was huge. Great location, great fishing, quiet, and fantastic owners make this place the BEST DEAL OUT THERE!!! We will be there once again next year!!

Thanks for the memories

Thank you for accommadating my daughter and her family. The pink cottage is truly on the lake. We spent much time on the screened porch with the lake breeze blowing in as we watched the Egret fly about on a daily basis. They will be back up in September. This was as quaint as you get. Very quiet even with other cabins around. To put your toes in the water within feet of walking out of your cabin is great especially when you have little ones. My husband and I only live 7 miles down the road but expect to get-away here for the lake and the peacefulness that your cabins provide. Sincerely, SCTucker

Almost Heaven

For the past 7 years, I have missed my relaxing, NH lake vacations. Now, I can't wait for my next one! I'm a native of Concord, NH and most of my family and friends are located there or nearby. This location was perfect for folks to come, hang out, enjoy the water and boats, and feast with me. Nancy and Lee keep the cottages and property neat and very clean and are very accommodating hosts, focused on making your stay the best possible. My only concern upon on arrival was traffic noise but by Sunday, it had become "white noise" because of the beauty and peacefulness of the lake. My sons, nieces, and nephews are mostly young adults. All of them started talking about what a great place/ location this would be to spend a week with family and friends. Friday, I was sitting by the water and my heart told me I was not ready to say good-bye so I called Nancy to find out if there was a cottage available for an additional night and happily there was. The better news was on Saturday morning when my sons announced they wanted to stay that extra day, too. They weren't ready to return to their Boston area, hectic lives. This property and location afforded me one of the best vacations with quality family time that I have had in a long time. Thank you, Nancy and Lee!!!!

Very eager to return!!!

With Winter approaching all too soon, I've been reflecting on what a great time I had when I stayed here in June '09. For a little over a week my husband & I rented a cottage & my parents rented one as well. We are still remarking about what a wonderful, relaxing time we had & plan to reserve for the same time next year. Nancy & Lee are the new owners of this property & have done so many improvements & provide a great experience. (Cottages had been grossly neglected for many years prior to their recent purchase) Upon arrival, whatever may not have been completely up to par, we pointed out with immediate remedy to follow. (ie, newly installed waterheater had not been switched on, needed a broom). All the basics were provided ie, clean linens, A/C, sm. flat screen TV/DVD combo, DVD's, toiletries, dish soap, sponge, sm.microwave, stovetop, sm. refrigerator, toaster, coffemaker, mugs, plates, cutlery. This family made us feel so welcome & bent over backward to accomodate us, so rare these days. However, as another poster pointed out, if you are looking for luxurious accomodations, please, look elsewhere. But, if you are seeking simplicity & pure relaxation, in a somewhat rustic, cute little cottage, in a small encampment at lakeside, this is it. You'd be hard-pressed to find better accomodations in the area for the very affordable rates. And, if you enjoy fishing, early one morning my step dad caught a 5+ lb lg mouth bass right on shore! Ahhh, visions of waking early to the gentle sounds of Loons with a cup of hot java in hand, watching Swallows swooping down over the lake while planning my day along with the choices of canoeing (graciously provided), fishing, swimming, lounging lakeside, a bonfire at night, S'mores (not provided) & my own little screened porch directly over the water where I can read, craft, play a game, casually entertain another couple or do absolutely nothing at all ... I can't wait to return next June!!! Many thanks to Nancy, Lee & Adam & we look forward to staying with you again in 2010!

I stayed 2 nights at The Cottages At Lake Harvey. An immaculate, small, &quiet property of 6 shorefront cottages and beach on Harvey Lake in Northwood, NH. As a solo traveler, I booked the cabin they offer for 1 person. It was perfect for me with full size bed, full bath w. shower, kitchenette and a screen porch with table and 2 chairs. Outside, each cabin (various sizes) had a gas grill, fire pit and picnic table. There is a sandy beach area with kayaks, canoe, paddles, life vests and lounge chairs. The lake is clean and has good vegetation along its shoreline, so lots of wildlife. I saw loons fishing on the lake each morning from my bed and while kayaking, I took pictures up close of several Great Blue Herons. Located a short drive either way from the property are eateries, a nice little market, gas, Dunkin, pizza, several antiques stores and a gift shop. The owners Nancy & Lee are great hosts. I will visit again.

Our CottagesOur cottages have not only been a part of our family’s history, but are truly integral to the Town of Northwood’s history.  As the story goes, the 200 year old “Main House”, was considered to be a favorite resting spot for travelers heading through to Concord across the First NH Turnpike.   Later, the cottages were built to allow vacationers to enjoy the one of the best kept secrets of lake getaways.  We’ve kept that hometown charm and feel which allows you to enjoy the same, simple lifestyle, which our grandparents may have enjoyed.  Of course, we’ve added some expected conveniences such as    Wi-Fi, satellite TV, and climate controlled cottages.  Each cottage enjoys a fully unobstructed water view and frontage on the Lake.  Inside you’ll find everything you need for your vacation getaway including linens, towels, soaps, shampoo, and a kitchen that includes everything you need to prepare that fantastic breakfast, lunch or dinner!  Outside, is your own gas grill and fire pit for that romantic campfire.  When you awake each day, you can enjoy taking out a kayak or sit with your family to enjoy the sunrise on a perfectly calm lake.  If you are planning a large family gathering, or even if you want a little extra space, consider the “Main House” as your destination.  The home offers you room for up to 16 guests yet is economically priced to create that romantic getaway for you and your “best friend”. We hope you agree with us that The Cottages at Harvey Lake are truly “Where family memories are made!”
