* The 14 feet private dock is available from Memorial Day weekend through at least mid-September.
* No motorized watercraft may operate within 150 ft of rafts, floats, swimmers, shorelines, docks, swim lines, other boats or water skiers

* Guests are required to use their personal logins for streaming services.

* ONE dog is welcome in this home; no other pets are permitted. The following dog breeds/pets are not permitted: Pit Bull, Bull Terrier, American Pit Bull Terrier, Rottweiler, German Shepherd, Akita, Doberman, Wolf-hybrid, Chow, Bull Mastiff, American Bully, American Staffordshire Terrier, Presa Canario, Shar-Pei, Guard/Attack dogs, and any animal with a past history of biting or that demonstrates aggressive behavior.

We love your pup, but our furniture prefers to stay fur-free. If your dog is a natural couch-climber, just toss their favorite blanket over the sofa so everyone stays comfy.

The code didn't work when we arrived so check in wasn't great. Summer in NE is the time to be outdoors, but the deck of this house was literally rotting; the deck furniture was broken and only offered seating for two people. The home is on a shallow, dirty cove of water, full of yellow and brown algae. It does not look safe to swim in. The grass in front of the house was a foot tall and the back of the house is in desperate need of landscaping. The neighbors are very close and there is no privacy. Inside the house I came upon this mess in the shower and the owner's response was "It's still operable". Not "I'm sorry for the mess, would you mind cleaning it up for us"? The walls of the house are paper thin and you can hear everything. The decor is cheap and aged. The rudeness of the owner, Shawn, was the icing on the a miserable experience. When I reached out the first morning to tell him we would not be staying, he was argumentative and mocking. He has zero customer service skills and should not be dealing with the public. The photos on this listing looked good, but those photos are not reality. I have never had such a poor experience renting a cottage and hope I never do again. Steer clear!

We’re genuinely sorry to see this negative review. We understand your disappointment regarding the lake water level; unfortunately, this was due to a severe drought in the area and was completely beyond our control. Regarding the access code, our smartlock is programmed to allow entry at the official check-in time unless prior arrangements are made. Since you arrived earlier and didn’t notify us, the code would not have worked at that time. We appreciate you reporting the broken chair on the deck. The deck has brand-new furniture, and we promptly replaced the chair as soon as we were informed. As mentioned, all our homes are inspected and photographed prior to guest arrival, and any issues reported are addressed immediately. We also fixed the shower dispensers that were accidentally knocked off the wall. While this was an easy repair, including it as an “issue” is not accurate. All communication took place through Vrbo, and at no point were any messages rude. We understand you were frustrated by the lake situation, but as explained, this is not grounds for a refund. We always strive to provide an excellent experience, and it’s unfortunate that circumstances outside our control affected your stay.
