My husband and I had a wonderful time, we stayed in the Falcoa suite on the top level for several days. It was very clean and spacious for the two of us, with lovely views of the countryside. We walked several times to the beautiful town of Castellina and enjoyed a couple of lunches and dinner there. It's about a 20 minute walk and uphill to get to town, much easier getting home! We bought groceries at the coop and steak from the butcher in town and cooked a couple of dinners using the BBQ. We sat by the pool to watch the sunset, just gorgeous! We went to Siena for a day, just over a 30 minute drive and we also visited the town of Greve also about 30 minutes a way. Matilde and Linda were extremely welcoming, answered all of our many questions and attended to our needs. They were always quick to respond. It was a lovely stay, we highly recommend this property and hope to come back again.

The property was beautiful. Our apartment was clean and had the most gorgeous views. The patio was perfect with grape leaves covering it. We were even able to sit under it in the rain and stayed dry. The kitchen was great for making coffee and simple breakfasts (you could cook more if we wanted, but we chose to eat in town for most meals instead). We got very good at making our own espressos! We were able to spend time in the late afternoon at the pool. I can honestly say I’ve never swam with more breathtaking views! The town was a quick 5 minute drive where there are amazing restaurants and grocery store. We also drove to neighboring cities San Gimignano and Siena for some sightseeing. I was able to go on a morning run most days as well which was a bonus. The property is very quiet and peaceful. If we could come back every year we definitely would!

This couple were great guests who made the most of their stay here. The weather was not ideal for couple of days but there are many places to visit in the area when the weather isn’t good. The nearby town of Castellina in chianti is just 5 minutes away by car or a 10/15 minute walk, where you can find restaurants, wine tasting, cafes and loads to do. It is a medieval town and a real gem to explore.

Overall a really great stay. A large sized pool, very clean with an amazing view; a very peaceful spot. What is a massive plus is that there are only 3 apartments ( two one bed and one 2 bed) so you won't be shareing it with many others.We had it mostly to ourselves. Apartment (rosemary) nicely appointed, air con in both rooms, very good private outside space. Local town within 10-15 min easy walk lots of nice places to eat. Owners attentive if needed. One to think about -read the description, the kitchen is a kitchenette, 2 electric rings , microwave , shared gas BBQ outside, slim dishwasher. If cooking forms a bit part of your holiday it may be a bit limited. Great for us- town has plenty of choice. Local gelato shop outstanding. No TV. Would be very happy to return.

This is a beautiful property and we really enjoyed our stay. The apartment was clean and well appointed (if a bit cold when we were there in March!). It was nice to have coffee and tea and all the necessary dishes, pots, etc. in the kitchen - as a suggestion it would be great to also have a small portion of olive oil, salt and pepper for guests to use. Linda is such a lovely host but we would have appreciated check-in instructions - we never received any and we were at a loss for what to do when we arrived at the property. Apart from that minor communication shortcoming, everything was wonderful. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

A wonderful time in Castellina

My husband and I had a fantastic two weeks here. Linda is a lovely lady and wonderful host. The apartment was pefect a d very relaxing. The pool was perfect and the views breathtaking. We hope to return to this beautiful place.

Beautiful Home in Great Location

We couldn't believe how beautiful this property and home was when we pulled in - the pictures don't do it justice! The location is also amazing for visiting neighboring areas for day or half day trips. We only stayed for 2 nights, but wished we had more time to enjoy the pool and grounds. Would definitely come back to stay here!

We enjoyed having this couple to stay here with us. They travelled around to Florence , Siena, San Gimignano and more all within an hour's drive from here and came back to relax by the pool or have a glass of wine in their private garden. Tuscany Family Vacation

A home from home in beautiful Tuscany

Linda was a wonderful host, nothing was too much trouble for her. The accommodation was very spacious, well equipped and spotlessly clean. Gardens were very spacious, well kept and a peaceful place to sit and relax in total privacy. Nice restaurants and a gelateria in the town which is within walking distance. They travelled around the area making day trips to many towns and villages in the vicinity or just relaxed by the pool or in the gardens. I would not hesitate to recommend them to any further hosts. Best part of our Italy trip!

Linda was a great hostess. She made us feel right at home. The apartment had tons of charm but still had all the creature comforts. The garden on the property was beautiful as well as the views. The location is great & was perfect for our home base as we explored Tuscany. Linda arranged a wine tasting tour for us that was spectacular!

We enjoy having guests to stay and to have the opportunity to give them a guide to this beautiful area and to experience Tuscan hospitality. There is much to do and see and our location is such that we are central to the main cultural towns and cities within the hour. Wine tastings, cooking courses and more can easily be arranged for guests.

Marvellous stay with a lovely host !

Ideally situated for a holiday in the Chianti region of Tuscany. Good location for visiting Siena; Florence and Pisa.. In close proximity to the local town ( fifteen minutes walk albeit uphill ) with an array of restaurants to entice. Also a gelateria with ice cream sent from Heaven ! Truly amazing swimming pool with marvellous views over Tuscany, Linda was a friendly and helpful host kindly sharing vegetables from her garden with us and offering local information.

Great and peaceful stay

We had an amazing time staying in Rosmarino at Godenano di Mezzo. The property is very peaceful and maintained perfectly. The pool with the view over the valley is also amazing. In the apartment we had everything we needed. Only a little bit more "working space" in the kitchen area would be a plus. Overall a fantastic stay and many thanks to Linda & family. We hope to be back someday!

So glad you enjoyed your stay with us. The pool is fantastic and enjoyed by all. The table for 6 beside the kitchen provides ample space for food preparation as the kitchen bench is small but it is so to allow more space in the kitchen and living area. Good luck to you both, Linda

Wonderful, well appointed and great location!!!

My husbad and I stayed in the Rosemary room for a week in June and cannot say enough good things about it! The room was lovely, clean and tastefully decorated, the views from our terrace were incredible (we so enjoyed eating outdoors and watching the sunsets while sipping Chianti's finest) and being able to walk into Castellina was an added bonus. Such a delightful little town with lots of great restaurants! The owner was lovely and the olive oil delicious :) We would definitely return to this location should the opportunity arise!!

We very much enjoyed having this young couple staying with us. We had some lovely chats and they were both courteous, friendly and treated our apartment and property with respect, leaving the apartment as they found it. Owned and run by our family the property offers our guests a warm and welcome enviroment in which to enjoy typical tuscan hospitality and enjoy genuine produce such as our own extra virgin olive oil, grapes, fruit and vegetables in season all produced by ourselves.

Our surrounding countryside is the ideal place to enjoy nature in peace and quiet, relax, walk or trek the ancient Via Romea which crosses our property. Here you can admire the beautiful scenery over the Val d’elsa and see in the distance the towers of San Gimignano and the surrounding hills of Monteriggioni, Colle Val d’elsa and Casole d’elsa. Florence is 45 minutes by car and Siena 25 minutes. There is much to do and see in this area and the property is ideally situated to explore Chianti and beyond. A 15 minute walk takes you into the town of Castellina where you will find shops and galleries, many very good restaurants, pizzerias and cafès, a supermarket, winecellars and excellent icecream. The town itself is lovely to explore and there are many organised events which we will let you know about in advance. The area has many very good wineries to visit and partake in winetasting and we can organise winetours with pick up and drop off here on the property. These tours take in 2 or more wineries and include lunch or dinner for a very good price.

The result of this work is a harmonious and comfortable enviroment which provides three apartments selectly decorated with traditional rural tuscan furnishings. The restoration that has been done is in bio edilizia or ecologically restored using only ecological materials so that the house and apartments breathe. The setting is such that there are stunning views over the surrounding valleys and Tuscan countryside. While we are close to the town center we are also a very quiet and tranquill
spot where one can relax and enjoy the Tuscan surroundings.
