I’m very sorry you encountered issues while staying at our beach house, we don’t want our guests to feel like anything is less than excellent. Here’s what we’re doing right away: 1. We’ve scheduled our maintenance team to come access what it would take to treat and repaint any rusty or peeling surfaces. 2. We’re planning on updating the ground-level area. 3. Our cleaning team is reviewing every set of linens and towels—any item that doesn’t meet our standards will be replaced before the next guest arrives. We also do our best to keep our rates lower than neighboring gated beachfront homes (which often include extra amenities- such as elevator or pool - that we don’t have) while still delivering a clean, well-appointed home in a premier location. Your feedback gives us fresh incentive to accelerate those updates, and I’m confident you’ll see and feel the difference next time. Thank you again for helping us improve. A few things we’d like to clarify — the garage is not available for guest use, and this is mentioned in the listing description so that everyone can make an informed decision before booking. Similarly, the listing shows which rooms have TVs, so guests know what to expect upon arrival. That said, we appreciate your comments! Since your stay, we’ve replaced the patio cushions and had a handyman address the smoke detector and toilet — both have been fully fixed! We also checked the patio door; it’s a hurricane-rated model, which can be tricky to lock unless you lift the handle before turning the lock. We’re always available 24/7 to assist during a stay and could have had someone come by right away if we’d known about the issues sooner.
