Great location and value

Our host was wonderful. She was flexible and very helpful with providing us things to do, restaurants to enjoy and transportation within the area and to the airport. Highly recommended staying here as it’s a great location for many attractions Barcelona has to offer.

Perfect location!

This apartment is quiet, clean and in a great location, easy walking distance to most sites. Markets and restaurants are nearby. Chelo is very helpful and even organized a cab for us to the airport. Our stay was excellent.

Great Choice in Barcelona

Great central location (15 min walk to Sagrada Familia, El Born, Rambles). Quiet neighborhood, but with local shops and cafes within 3 min walk. Place itself was well equipped. Host was great; organized and responsive. Would stay again, for sure.

This was a great alternative to other locations that are louder and busy. It’s still very close to most attractions, in fact we walked everywhere, but far enough that it was extremely quite at night. Communication with owner is fabulous.

AMAZING PLACE AND LOCATION

I booked this place because of the great reviews I had read from previous renters and let me tell you… they did not miss. Chelo was fantastic from A to Z. The communication was excellent and she was more than accommodation and resourceful. The place was very clean and well organized. We were walking distance from most attractions and if not then public transport was really close. There are some great restaurants around the area and even coffee shops. I would recommended this place to anyone looking to visit Barcelona. The price was very good also.

Perfect Spot for Exploring Barcelona

We loved our stay at Chelo's property! It is just outside of the touristy areas so a great way to get the experience of living like a local while being able to easily get to most of the sights. The apartment is very comfortable, with great bakeries, restaurants, and shopping close by. And Chelo was an incredibly gracious and flexible host when our flight was cancelled and our trip delayed by a day. Despite several flight time changes she was there to meet us when we arrived, explained the details of the apartment, and got us oriented on the map. She was also nearly instantaneous in responding to questions and helping us with other issues that arose with our stay. I cannot speak highly enough of Chelo as a host, and highly recommend this property for a base while exploring Barcelona!

There is reason why all the reviewers cite Chelo so highly in their comments, she absolutely is a great hostess. The apartment is really well located to everything we wanted to see. Quiet family friendly building and very secure. Had a few interactions with other tenants' all very pleasant. I'm sure we stuck out as not local, but we were treated just the same as if we belonged. Elevators were a nice option, we opted for the stairs most days. We cooked a couple of times during our stay and found everything needed to make a home cooked meal. We certainly would stay here again, the charm of this neighborhood flat and its wonderful hostess will remain in our fond memories of Barcelona. Thank You for having us!

Can’t beat the location

My husband and I stayed at Chelo’s apartment for 5 night. You cannot beat the location of her apartment, We were within walking distance of everything and if you don’t feel like walking there are 2 metro stations close by. There are lots of great restaurants in the neighborhood as well as coffee shops and markets. We both work virtually and the apartment worked well for us because it has a lot of space. The apartment is well equipped with all the amenities you could need. Chelo was great at communicating before our arrival, she also greeted us upon our arrival, explained everything about the apartment to us, gave us helpful suggestions for restaurants and markets etc. chelo allowed us to stay late on our departure date and even arranged a taxi to the airport for us.

Great location, comfortable apartment

Highly recommend this apartment, its location and the management. There were only two of us, but this apartment would have comfortably accommodated 4 people. Convenient location -- walked almost everywhere! And when we wanted a cab, there was one nearby. Very close to the Arc de Triomf in Barcelona. Very clean. Well-equipped kitchen, washing machine (and drying rack). Everything we needed was included (e.g., plenty of toilet tissue, paper towels, laundry detergent, etc.). Only recommendation would be to provide extra towels -- we ended up taking multiple showers a day after walking miles in hot weather. Check in/out was easy. Catching the train from the airport ended up being more of an ordeal than we had expected -- took a cab back to the airport.

Wonderful property and manager

Fabulous location near public transportaton, restaurants, groceries, etc. Apartment was well set up for all of our needs and felt clean and well cared for. Cooked breakfasts and a few dinners and found everything we needed. Nice to have a washer too. Chelo was very helpful before our visit and when greeting us. She was prompt and went to great length to ensure we knew about holiday closures, where to access groceries, how to take public transportation and even called a cab for us the day we departed, as well as provided a map and hilighted some sights upon our arrival. Only thing that could have been improved was shower needs new caulk (a bit moldy at this point and beyond cleaning). I pointed this out, so hopefully it will be addressed in the future. Didn't get in the way of having a great stay and we would return. Highly recommend this apartment, the owner and Barcelona.

Exceptional property in perfect location

This spacious, super clean two bedroom apartment with full kitchen, dishwasher and washing machine, was ideally situated in a safe, quiet residential area. It has lots of closet space and hangers. The bathroom is modern with a great shower. There are many restaurants, shops, supermarkets located within blocks of the apartment. Conveniently located a five minute walk away was the Tetuan Metro station. The building is very secure. Chelo met us upon arrival and demonstrated everything about the apartment and gave us lots of information about local restaurants and a local supermarket that has everything you could need. She made herself available at any time if problems arose but we encountered no issues at all. She even went so far as to insure that a taxi was available at the time of our checkout. We can't say enough good things about the apartment or Chelo.

Perfect for a family or couple

As other reviewers have mentioned, Chelo is very helpful and the reason we chose this unit. She waited an hour for us after our plane was late, gave us a map and hints about the city, and ordered a cab for us as we had to leave at 4:30am on the 4th - the cab arrived promptly. The unit is exactly as depicted in the photos. There is a small, enclosed laundry porch w/washer and drying rack which we used as we'd been traveling for some time. The unit is very secure, located on the 3rd floor, an easy walk up stairs or take the elevator. The beds were comfy, bath clean and with good water pressure, the kitchen fully stocked - though we didn't cook. The unit came supplied w/paper towels, TP, soap for the appliances and bath which isn't typical of a VRBO rental. We were within 1 block of the metro which easily connects to the more traveled lines. We walked to Sagrada Familia, Passieg De Gracia, Barcelonetta, Bari Gothic, and El Born areas w/in 10 minutes. There is a bank, coffee shops, market and restaurants within the immediate neighborhood.

Ideale Wohnung für eine Stadtbesichtigung von Barcelona

Wir haben im Frühjahr eine Woche hier verbracht. Der Empfang und die Schlüsselübergabe durch Chelo waren ganz unkompliziert. Wir konnten uns sogar gut in deutsch verständigen. Die Wohnung liegt mit Blick zu einem (nicht wirklich schönen) Innenhof, ist dadurch aber sehr ruhig. Begeistert waren wir von der zentralen Lage. Metro (Station Tetuan) und Busse fast vor der Tür, so kann man alle Sehenswürdigkeiten im Bereich der Innenstadt in max. 20 Minuten erreichen. Vieles ist auch gut zu Fuß zu erledigen, so z.B. der Arc de Triomf und der sehr schöne Parc de la Ciutadella in 10-15 Min. Von dort ist man auch gleich im Kneipenviertel El Born und dann ist es auch garnicht mehr weit in die historische Altstadt von Barcelona. Alle Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind in unmittelbarer Nähe. Es viel schon schwer sich für einen Bäcker zu entscheiden. Die Wohnung ist für einen Stadtbesuch sehr zu empfehlen. Was etwas fehlt, ist die Möglichkeit gemütlich draußen zu sitzen, da es keinen Balkon gibt.

Super zentral, ruhig und sehr sauber.

Chelo ist eine fantastische Gastgeberin, sie hat uns mit Stadtplan und allen wertvollen Infos versorgt. Sie spricht gut Deutsch und perfektes Englisch. Die Wohnung ist perfekt für vier Personen, die alles fussläufig erreichen möchten. Gute Restaurants und Bars in der Nähe, auch ein Supermarkt und Bioladen. Sehr moderne Ausstattung mit neuen Küchengeräte. Wir können die Wohnung nur weiterempfehlen und kommen ganz sicher wieder.

wir waren sehr zufrieden

Meine Frau und ich waren sehr zufrieden mit dem Apartment. Es entsprach genau der Beschreibung. Alles war sehr sauber. Alles was man benötigt ist vorhanden. Die Wohnung liegt zur Innenseite, dadurch hörte man nichts vom Straßenlärm. Wir haben bei offenen Fenster ( Schiebetür ) geschlafen. Die Wohnung ist absolut ruhig. Der Innenhof ist sehr, sehr groß und lässt sehr viel Licht und Sonne in die Wohnung. Der Aufzug in die 3 Etage war nach einem langen Tag sehr angenehm. In unmittelbarer Nähe sind ein großer Supermarkt, Bäckereien und Restaurants. Getränke waren in den vielen Mini-Märkten 24 h im direkten Umfeld rund um die Uhr zu bekommen. Viele Sehenswürdigkeiten können auch zu Fuß gut erreicht werden. Z.B. Sagrada Familia ca. 20 Min, Arc de Triomf zum Greifen nahe. Wir sind abends oft von der Altstadt zur Wohnung zurückgelaufen. Metro Station Tetuan in unmittelbarer Nähe. Am letzten Abend haben wir uns dann noch die Lichtshow am Font Magica ( nur wenige Metrostationen entfernt ) angesehen. Ein toller Abschluss unserer Barcelona-Reise. Wegen einer Flugverspätung sind wir erst abends sehr spät gekommen. Vielen Dank, Frau Gonzalez, dass Sie so lange auf uns gewartet haben. Wir können die Wohnung weiterempfehlen.

Zentral - Ruhig - Komfortabel

Sehr nette Vermieterin, die uns alle Geräte und Zimmer zeigte. Es gibt zwei Fahrstühle zum dritten Stockwerk. Also kein Problem mit Koffern und Einkäufen. Zentral genug um die Touristenecken zu Fuß zu erreichen und gute Anbindung mit Metro und Bussen. Gute Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der Nähe sowie Cafés, für die die nicht im Appartement frühstücken wollen. Wir kommen auch zu zweit wieder.

Ruhiges Appartment in Eixample

Das Appartment ist sehr ruhig zu einem großen Innenhof gelegen und wir haben nach schönene Stunden mit Gaudi, leckeren Tapas und gutem Wein wunderbar schlafen können, um gut erholt in den nächsten Tag zu starten. Die Wohnung liegt zentral in Barcelona. Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten sind in 15 - 20 per Fuß zu erlaufen. Zudem sind in ca. 400 m Entfernung 2 Metrohaltestellen. Die Fotos geben die Räumlichkeiten sehr gut wieder. Chelo war sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und spricht auch deutsch. Beautiful stay in Barcelona

Overall our stay was wonderful. It wasn’t quite as clean as we would have hoped when we arrived but Chelo was wonderful and responsive and came by and cleaned the apartment beautifully. It’s a lovely apartment. Only drawback for us was the double bed. Too small for us so part of the stay my husband slept in the second bedroom. Also in the living room there is really only a couch so it’s not so comfortable for hanging out. For most people that would be fine because short term travelers won’t do much hanging out but we were there for two weeks so a couple of times it would have been nice to have a more comfortable living room space to sit in. I would recommend that they get another comfortable chair for in there. Other than that it was great. Chelo was wonderful… always responsive, informative, and kind. Great location. Central to most things. Safe apartment building. Fabulous cafes on surrounding blocks.

My family of four loved staying in the apartment. It was in a convenient location and Chloe was an outstanding host. We would rate our experience with six stars if possible.
