I wish you had made me aware of these issues when you arrived, so we could have addressed them. My housekeeper would have gladly organized the kitchen and bathroom cupboards. The patio furniture is always cleaned between guests, but outdoor furniture in a country setting can get dusty. We do provide beach towels that can be used on the lounge chairs. However, we will replace the outdoor furniture this fall, as the Cinque Terre can be a rather harsh environment. The terrain is steep and rocky. The lawn is seeded with a sustainable mix of native grasses and wildflowers. In the height of summer, it can be more golden than green, but it is definitely not dead. The lemon trees are still loaded with fruit, rosemary and lavender hedges are green and fragrant, and even the hydrangea is still blooming at the end of August. One of the pleasures of traveling is learning about different ecosystems and environments. We take our stewardship of the land very seriously, and maximize the use of species native to the Mediterranean, while creating sustainable and harmonious outdoor spaces.
