A Special Spot in Manarola
There is no match to opening your shutters and seeing the sea and falling asleep to the lull of waves. Appreciated the old stone work and typical Ligurian home. The top terrace was a favourite hangout. Very comfortable beds.
Uniquely charming and delightful
We had an absolutely wonderful time at Bella Vista. A very unique home, set in the side of the rocks with incredible and soul-nourishing views. We spent many hours reading on the balcony while looking at the sea and beauty all around us. It was a wonderful place of refreshment and beauty!
Unique apartment, amazing view and perfect location!
We stayed with another couple and there was plenty of room for all of us. We loved the location and the view! The village is beautiful and relaxing. Lots of stairs and exercise and totally worth it. The agency that we had to get our keys from was extremely close to the train stop and the apartment we stayed in. The agency was very helpful with questions we had about the village. We loved hanging out on the terrace drinking wine and eating appetizers and enjoying the view! We would recommend this place to anyone.
Wonderful! Perfect Location
Manarola was the perfect spot to stay in! We spent 2 1/2 days in Cinque Terre and this was a great landing spot. A couple of towns each day were visited with no feeling of being rushed but still able to hike and take the train when needed.
The house has an absolutely amazing view! It is worth it just for that. Much like most of Cinque Terre there are a lot of steps and it is very steep, but as long as you do not have any issues with those items, it is quite sufficient for most of your daily needs. It is not the most modern or fancy home, but it is clean and everything works which is more than enough for me.
My only suggestions would be:
-If you are going to drive, ask about the private garage and pay for it. It's only $17 euro/day (comparable to open parking) and it is locked up.
-Pack Light! There is a considerable walk up and down mountains
-There is no clothes dryer despite being on the listing. Not a huge deal as there is a clothesline, but if you wash anything, be prepared to wait for it to dry.
-It would be helpful for some "daily" items to be available such as salt, pepper, oil, seasonings, etc. If you are not making your own food, no big deal but the additional cost of those things at the market certainly detracts you from wanting to cook
-The wireless router is not very strong. It only works on one floor of the house and can not handle multiple gadgets connected at the same time. Once again, not a huge deal, but if you have crumby weather and kids who like wifi this won't handle very much traffic
Overall, worth the price of admission and I would go back to the same spot again. Highly recommend
Best View in Best of the 5 Villages!
Loved this house in Manarola, we were 2 couples there as a base to see all the Cinque Terre region. Perfect for 2 couples, but you could easily fit more if you utilize couches, etc. we will be back!
Magnificent views in a unique house!
My husband and I shared the house with both sets of parents in September - a bit of a hike to get there (especially with luggage), but we were rewarded with the fantastic views and the charming nature of the house. The rooftop patio was fantastic for wine etc after days full of exploring. The only complaint was that the pullout couch/bed was broken, and so my husband hand to sleep on a slant - I'm sure they will have that fixed by the time the next guest arrives. All in all, it was a great three nights of our Italian vacation!
