The house was very clean and freshly remodeled. It was very cold at night so the fireplace was warm and relaxing . The only suggestion I have is to have a bit more stock in kitchen such as extra dish cloths, a broom to sweep up with, a couple pacs of dish washer tablets and a few more pots and pans. But we enjoyed ourselves although 2 of us ended up sick on first day with flu like symptoms so we didn’t leave house and door dashed or groceries. I would def stay again but next time without the flu

The house was clean and beds were comfortable. The bedrooms did get hot at night but not bad if you don’t mind sleeping with the door open and fan on. The home was updated nicely and the shower is beautiful, but the water pressure was not good. The driveway is steep, not an issue for us. Also the ice maker in the fridge is loud and woke me up several times overnight.Unfortunately when I booked my stay the “traveling with pets” preference did not transfer from my search to the booking like the dates and traveler information. As a result my booking cost was less than it should have been. The host charged a pet fee after my stay that exceeded what it would have cost had pets been included at booking. I contacted support and was told the charge is up to the host’s discretion. So be sure to clarify all pet fees and charges with the host prior to booking.Overall, I would’ve stayed again had I not been charged unexpected fees after my stay.

Thank you for your feedback, Christine. I’m glad you found the home clean and updated. To clarify for future guests: the reservation submitted was for 2 adults 1 child with no pets selected. Our pet fee is clearly listed in the house rules at $25/day per pet. Upon checkout, we noted 2 pets had stayed for 2 nights. The $100 charge (2 pets × 2 nights × $25) matches the exact rate that would have applied if pets were disclosed at booking. We always encourage guests to message us before booking with any questions about fees. There is a “pets” option in the Vrbo booking flow, and we’re happy to confirm totals in writing. We want all stays to be surprise-free.

Reasonably priced and comfortable house for family stay. Drive way does have a steep incline but was still able to park two cars in a single row. Even tho the house doesn't have central air, the window unit in the kitchen and fans in the bedroom keep the rooms cool. The one queen bed sleeps very well, but the second one could use an upgrade. Quite neighborhood and convenient location. Would stay here again in the future.

I guess house on the hill in the title didn’t give it away that you go up a driveway 😂 I really love the view and the driveway is only a few hundred feet. Glad you enjoyed the place and once I find out which bed your talking about I will address it for future guests. As far as the ac it is sized to cover the entire house. I’m glad to hear it worked well for you. And that your daughters white coat ceremony at Campbell University went well. Major major accomplishment il sure your proud!! See you next time

Quiet and close

Visiting Campbell for baseball. Great and quiet little retreat. Only thing to know- while there is AC, it is only in main room. All rooms have good fans so we were quite comfortable but might be on the warm side in summer. Otherwise great place and really nicely renovated.

VERY clean-all accommodations you need to feel at home away from home. COMFORTABLE FURNITURE and so very clean. The owner is quick to respond, kind, funny, and cares. Having a large refrigerator and W/D was important. Pet friendly but you would never know there were any before me. The bathroom is gorgeous. My personal thanks to the owner for every little detail including paper, cleaning, etc. Happy I chose this house.

Campbell University

We were there for 3 day baseball series at Campbell University and this place was just 15 minutes away. It was very clean with a great shower and kitchen with plenty of hot water. We had everything we needed which for me and my husband was a Keurig. It had wonderful TV in almost every room Thermostats and charging stations everywhere. Very comfortable beds. The only issue is bedding was pilled in front bedroom and not comfortable to sleep on plus we would have liked small bottle of shampoo and conditioner. Any questions we had were responded to almost immediately. Would stay here again.
