Enjoy a family vacation or a couple's weekend getaway in the historic Old Town neighborhood of Alexandria. You're just across the river from Washington, DC in a quiet spot away from the city bustle.

Main Floor: Living Room with Smart TV, Dining Room, Kitchen, private fenced backyard.

Step through the front door directly into the main living area and you’ll immediately notice how comfortable you’ll be as you relax in the cozy and inviting living room.

• Watch your favorite shows on the 65” Roku TV
• Take an afternoon nap on the couch
• Unwind with a drink in the evening

Roku Smart TV (Guest Mode): Use your personal login and password to access your Netflix, Prime, Hulu accounts. Free Roku TV channels are also available for you to enjoy.

As you walk into the kitchen and dining area, you can enjoy a quiet dinner cooked at home or delivered from one of our many neighborhood restaurants. On Saturdays, visit the local Farmer’s Market 20 minutes away and pick up your favorite fresh produce. The kitchen and dining area features:

• Keurig, drip coffee maker, and French press
• Hot water kettle
• Cuisinart toaster oven
• Dishwasher
• Dining table with seating for 4 people
• Fully equipped kitchen with everything you need to cook meals at home, including dishes, silverware, glasses, oil/seasonings/spices, and pots and pans you’ll actually want to use.

2nd Floor: 2 Bedrooms (1 Queen Bed/1 Twin XL Bed), another Roku TV, Full Bathroom (recently remodeled!), desk with a wifi laser printer

Basement: 1 Bedroom (Queen Bed), Full Bathroom, Washer & Dryer

After a busy day touring DC or the many activities of Northern Virginia, sink into bed and fall asleep in the quiet and restful bedrooms. All bedrooms offer features you’ll love:

• Memory foam mattresses
• Storage space for your clothes
• Bedside lamps with USB ports
• Cozy duvets to snuggle under

Luxuriate in the large shower with body wash, shampoo, and conditioner provided. In addition, I offer a generous supply of free items that you may have forgotten to pack -- toothbrush, toothpaste, razor, and more.

Laundry:
Enjoy the convenience of a full-size washer and dryer on-site plus detergent and stain remover. I also provide an iron, ironing board, and clothes steamer for keeping your clothes crisp and wrinkle-free, whether for a special evening out or an important business meeting.

Inside the Home: There are stairs and a handrail that lead up to the second floor and down to the basement. There is no bathroom on the main level.

Outdoor Areas:
You have full access to the private backyard where you’ll enjoy lounging on the patio chairs or having a meal al fresco.

My location is a Walker’s Paradise! It has a Walkability score of 95 (out of 100), a Transit Score of 75, and a Bike Score of 85. During your stay, you’ll especially love these advantages:

• Less than a 2-minute walk to the King Street metro station (on the Blue and Yellow lines that go to the Smithsonian, Arlington Cemetery, & US Capitol)
• Walk or ride the free King Street trolley shuttle to nearby restaurants and shops
• Easily access National Airport (DCA), the Capital Beltway, National Harbor, or downtown DC

Neighborhood Highlights:
Take advantage of easy access to the surrounding neighborhood and DC:
• Multitude of restaurants and all cuisines
• Water taxi to DC and National Harbor, plus the Baseball Boat when the Nationals are playing at home
• Quick access to highways leading to Northern Virginia

Things to be aware of:

• Front Door Entrance: Three concrete steps leading up to the front door with a smart lock keypad.
• Blink Camera: Located on the front door. All audio recording is turned off on the device. No monitoring devices inside the home.
• All areas in the house are available to guests except for the locked owner's closet in the upstairs hallway.
• The house is located near the above-ground metro and Amtrak train station. While this makes those transit choices convenient, it also comes with some associated noise: the light rumble of the metro trains on the elevated tracks, and the occasional sound of a train horn. However, we have never experienced any issues with excessive noise inside the townhouse. For instance, it does not affect your ability to have a conversation or watch TV. The metro trains do not run after midnight (2am on weekends) and the Amtrak and commuter trains are infrequent. I also provide earplugs and white noise machines in the bedrooms for light sleepers.
