Born and raised in Old Town ALX, this is the BEST spot to see the real Old Town! We are more than happy to arrange reservations or give suggestions for our favorite farmer's market stands, shopping, restaurants, and happy ◼No Parties or Events: Parties and events are strictly prohibited. We have a zero-tolerance policy.
◼Check-In/Check-Out: Check-in is at 4 PM, and check-out is at 10 AM. Early check-ins and late check-outs are subject to availability and may incur a fee due to enhanced cleaning measures and third-party cleaning schedules. Guests who overstay or delay housekeeping will be liable for the associated $25 per 15-minute increment.
◼Local Reservations: Reservations from guests within their city of residence are not allowed. Please get in touch with us if you are booking within your city.
◼No Smoking or Drugs: Smoking, illegal drugs, parties, and excessive noise are prohibited, including on porches and in shared spaces. Violations of the smoking policy incur a $250 fine plus cleaning and repair costs. Marijuana use is strictly prohibited.
◼No Commercial Use: Commercial photography and videography without written consent are strictly prohibited.
◼No glitter, confetti, or tape of any kind is permitted inside the property. Decorations may not be attached to walls, ceilings, or woodwork. Any evidence of these items will result in an automatic additional cleaning fee (starting at $200) or a charge for wall repairs
◼Safety & Legal Compliance: For the safety of our neighbors and the community, illegal activities are not permitted on the premises. This includes, but is not limited to: the possession of firearms, illegal drug use, and unauthorized commercial activity. Guests found in violation will be asked to vacate the property immediately.
◼Guest Limits: The number of overnight guests must not exceed the number stated in the reservation. Exterior cameras are in use in the front door and the backyard. Violations will be enforced
◼Guest Responsibility: Guests are responsible for damages, injury, or loss that occur on the premises. Any property damage must be reported to customer service. Unreported damages will be deducted from the security deposit or reported to the booking platform.
◼Pet Policy: Dogs are allowed on a case-by-case basis. The pet fee is $50 per pet per night, with a monthly cap, and is charged on the day of check-in. Unauthorized pets will incur additional fees. Cats and other pets are not allowed. Pets are not allowed on provided linens; an additional $100 fee applies for excess pet hair on linens.
◼Consumable Amenities: Initial supplies of amenities like toilet paper and paper towels are provided. Guests are responsible for replenishing these items as needed.
◼Quiet Hours: Quiet hours in the City of Alexandria are from 9 PM to 7 AM daily.
◼Amenities: We strive to ensure all advertised amenities are in working order. If an amenity fails mechanically and cannot be used during your stay, we will refund $15 for every 24 hours the amenity is unusable, provided we are properly notified. No refunds are issued for improper use by guests. Internet Service: Wireless internet is provided as a courtesy. Service can sometimes be erratic. We are not responsible for internet issues or provide technical support, and no refunds are issued for internet service problems.
◼Pet Linens: Pets are not allowed on our provided linens. Please bring your own if your pet will be on the bed. Excess pet hair on our linens will incur a $50 fee.
No EBikes/scooters/coolers inside the house: To help us protect the property and ensure everyone's safety, we kindly ask that bicycles, e-bikes, e-scooters, and golf clubs are not stored or charged inside the house. Using the exterior patio for your gear helps us prevent fire risks and keeps our plaster walls in top shape. You’ll find a convenient outdoor outlet on the patio for all your charging needs. We truly appreciate your help in keeping the interior beautiful and safe for all our guests.
◼No Mail or Packages: Guests are not permitted to have mail or packages delivered to the house address. There is a UPS location where packages can be sent (see house guide book )
◼Cleaning: Additional cleaning required for stays for 14 days and each increment thereafter
◼Agreement to House Rules: Booking a reservation constitutes agreement to comply with these House Rules. Violations will result in liability for any associated damages, fees, costs, or expenses.
