Great little condo, perfect location, quiet and clean!

The unit was clean and inviting. We had a great view and saw whales breaching during the early morning from the Lanai. The onsite pool/hot tub was great and we enjoyed behaving access to the bbq's.

Lovely condo, great location

Larry and Joyce have a beautiful condo which was very well maintained and immaculate. The home is well decorated with lovely furnishings. We were accommodated with more than the basic amenities. The location is convenient and within walking distance to shops, restaurants and ocean. The condo area is well kept and quiet. Larry had reached out letting me know we left an item at the condo which I greatly appreciated. We would definitely stay again.

Highly recommend!

It was difficult to find in the dark. Maybe a well place light turned on saying it’s on the third floor might be helpful. We really enjoyed the property and its location. Beautiful property close to the ocean. We had a wonderful time!

You can walk to many restaurants stores, waterfront, etc. It was nice to be able to walk to things, instead of always getting in the car. The unit was very nice and well equipped.

Property is well maintained. Property owner very responsive to any questions or concerns. The property is really well stocked with beach equipment, washer, dryer, laundry soap, kitchen has about anything you need to fix basic meals and location is great for walking into Kailua Village!

Fabulous

Wonderful accommodation, close to everything we needed, walked everywhere. Overall had a fabulous time staying here from Australia for the Queen Liliuokalani Race. Would highly recommend Larry and Joy’s place would definitely stay here again.

Family Thanksgiving

We had a pleasant visit celebrating Thanksgiving with families from 3 generations. Only issue with cleanliness we saw daily little cockroaches crawling in & out of the drawers, walls & under the counter in the kitchen. Not easy to keep those nasty bugs away when all your walls are attached to other condo units in a cluster complex.

Great condo & location

We enjoyed our stay here in Kona. There was plenty of room for 3 adults to sleep and enjoy hanging out in the condo during the day. The location is amazing for close walking to all the great shops & Iron man beach in Kona.

Centrally Located Kona Stay

This condo was a solid choice for our family's stay in Kona! Our itinerary had us exploring the island for various adventures and the condo was a great home base. Spacious, well-stocked, thoughtful Hawaiian décor, and a short walk into town. Our daughters also really enjoyed playing in the pool. Thank you for your hospitality!

We had a great experience with the hosts for this property. They had excellent communication and were very helpful. The condo was overal updated and comfortable. Only complaints would be the beds/mattresses could be updated.

A pleasant, comfortable condo with a great location

This Kona condo is very comfortable. Its location is only a block or two away from Ali'i Drive (shopping) and a small in-town beach. Only about 15 minutes from the airport. Neighbors are quiet, although there seems to be a rash of loud cars and motorcycles that can be heard when the windows are open. Water pressure in the shower is great and the owner promptly helped with one small problem we had when we arrived. A very nice place!

Perfect location, wonderful home!

We loved this condo! It was decorated so warm and cozy; so many personal touches throughout the home.(love the hula girl lamp!) It was very clean and well supplied with everything you need. We also met the cleaning lady who lives on the grounds and said to get in touch with her should we need anything. We will definitely return!

Kona condo

This is a very well situated condo with easy access to restaurants and entertainment. I gave it 4 stars because the upstairs bedroom needs another air conditioner. The best way to get relief upstairs is to open the upstairs window and aim the fan up the stairway after sunset. It is well equipped for cooking and we had no problems using the shared gas grills on site. Overall a good experience Very quiet!!

Our stay was really good. the condo was well equipped with all necessary amenities. Nice new linens, plenty of kitchen equipment ( all new and in good condition) and lots of extras- sports equipment, etc. Everything was clean and in order. The complex was at an excellent location , near to downtown and to the beach. We enjoyed all the open-air eating cafes facing the ocean-- perfect breakfast spots. ...I would certainly recommend this condo to anyone unless they had difficulty with stairs. The listing on this location was very accurate and the owner was very helpful.

Good Location, could just use a little TLC

This condo was fine for our stay but certainly wasn’t luxury. You have to drag your luggage up 4 flights of stairs and we saw a few lizards within the condo. My main complaint is that the towels provided all reeked of mildew. I understand it’s hard to keep things dry in such a humid climate but the towels and upstairs bathroom all smelt horrible.

Excellent Experience

Our experience in Larry’s condo was wonderful. The condo has a really good location, close to malls, grocery stores and close also to the tourist area. Walking distance to restaurants and the tourist office. The condo is well maintained and has everything you need for your stay. The kitchen has all of the amenities that you need and the rooms are comfortable. The terrace is really nice and we enjoyed some meals there. Larry helped us with some questions that we had before our arrival; he is always ready to answer your questions with good information. He also called after our arrival to know if everything was fine. This is a place I’ll come back to and that I can recommend to my friends (I already have). They won’t be disappointed at all.

WE USUALLY ONLY DO REVIEWS WHEN PLEASED, BUT WE FEEL CHEATED BY THIS ONE! THIS PLACE IS NOT NICE TO VACATION IN! UPSTAIRS MASTER BEDROOM TO HOT TO USE 16hrs OF THE DAY AND I LIVED IN FLORIDA FOR 17 YEARS! KITCHEN-- FLOORING MISSING LAMINATE SQUARES,GROSS, DIRTY UNUSABLE KITCHEN--POTS/PANS HAD SCRAPED UP TEFLON + RUST. DISHES+GLASSES WERE IN CABINET DIRTY. KITCHEN HAS NOT BEEN CLEANED PROPERLY IN AGES! BUILT UP GUNK AND FILTH. UPSTAIRS SHOWER IS OK BUT IN 100+DEGREE ROOM! UP BATHROOM WAS BEAT UP- MISSING MULTIPLE WALL/PAINT CHUNKS. DOWNSTAIRS BATHROOM SHOWER WAS INOP. DOWNSTAIRS BEDROOM BLIND SLATS FELL DOWN WHEN TRYING TO CLOSE AS SOON AS WE ARRIVED. ONE LONG BLOCK FROM BEACH IF YOUR ARE A CROW! OCEAN VIEW IS PARTIAL IF IN ONE AREA OF PATIO AND STILL DISTANT. LAMINATED INSTRUCTION SHEETS ALL OVER THE PLACE TELLING GUEST TO WASH SHEETS! WASH TOWELS! WASH BEDDING! AND START EARLY BECAUSE THE WASHER AND DRYER ARE SMALL! THEY CHARGE CLEANING FEE! OWNER FEE! AND SOME OTHER FEES AND AFTER THAT THE ADVERTISED RATE NEARLY DOUBLES. WE WOULD NOT HAVE STAYED IN A PLACE LIKE THIS AT ANY PRICE. WE HAVE USED HOMEAWAY IN HAWAII MULTIPLE TIMES AND THIS RUINED HOMEAWAY FOR ME! NOT WORTH A THIRD OF THE AMOUNT CHARGED! GHETTO APARTMENT! THIS WILL NOT RECOUP ANYTHING FOR US, WE HAVE DONE THIS SOLELY TO KEEP OTHERS FROM THE YUCKY YUCK YUCK! THREAD BARE TOWELS! SPLIT BOOGIE BOARDS! THE LIST COULD GO ON AND ON! EVERYTHING SHOULD HAVE BEEN REPLACED MANY YEARS AGO AND REPLACING IT WITH GRAGES SALE OR GOODWILL ITEMS WOULD BE A MAJOR UPGRADE! ALMOST EVERYTHING SHOT LONG AGO!

Absolutely perfect accommodations for your trip!

This location was the ideal place for our trip to Kona. Easy access to the beach, with a fantastic view from the patio where we would gather to eat breakfast. Parking option was great as we did travel around with our rental car some. But so easy to just walk to Ali'i Drive instead as well. The hot tub and pool suited nice as well. The hosts are very clear with instructions and communicated well - very supportive. They even have plenty of options to plug in electronics. I honestly could not have picked a better option for the trip of a lifetime. Thank you!

Location location location

This place is perfect. The owners were easy to communicate with if there were any concerns. The location was awesome easy access to everything in downtown Kona. People with mobility issues please understand it’s on the third floor with no elevator People for long stays it has 34 stairs so carrying groceries (water beer😂) takes a little out of you We had absolutely had no complaints it was exactly what we wanted. The place is clean and we slept in both beds. They were both amazing. The 3 air conditioners are awesome. You get the morning sun on the deck even with the shades pulled down it’s really warm. The table and chairs on the deck are beautiful teak but not comfortable for short or people with mobility problems (they are like bar height table and chairs) We would definitely stay there again. We have 6 children, and 8 grandchildren. Joy recently retired from a local hospital. Larry is a retired chiropractor. We enjoy spending time with each other, family and friends, and our avid cyclists and snow sport enthusiasts.

You can swim the Iron Man course, rent a paddle board or kayak. The pier is a 5 minute walk offering scuba, parasailing excursions, submarine adventures, dinner/sunset cruises and whale watching.
