The Penthouse is located on the top floor of a 3 unit building which allows an immense amount of natural light through a large arched window. The impeccably stunning accent wall in the living room provides a five star hotel flair. Guests can cozy up in a lounge chair next to the arched window, catching amazing views of the sunset. These are the unique aspects of The Penthouse that provide stylish yet cozy vibes that will make you feel right at home. The unit has two large 60-72” smart TV’s, a washer and dryer and free high speed internet access. There is central AC and heat. Our beautiful kitchen is well equipped with gorgeous stainless-steel appliances as well as all of the equipment you’ll need to create meals from scratch during your stay. There is a fully equipped Keurig coffee station and plenty of counter space. You’ll find pots, pans, dishes, and cutlery in the drawers and cabinets. You will have the comfort of enjoying your delicious meals in the spacious dining area. This modern unit has smart devices which include smart keypad system for entry, Alexa and smart thermostat. This unit comfortably sleeps 4 individuals. A pack and play along with a high chair is also available for use. During your stay you will sleep comfortably in one of three spaces. There is a queen bed in the first room along with a 60 inch smart TV. The second room has a lovely canopy full size bed which includes a plush twin trundle bed. Additionally there is a desk within this room as well. Lastly, the sofa can be transitioned into a full size sofa bed. Feel free to ask us how when you book! Guests will have the luxury of one full bathroom that includes a shower and full bathtub as well as a separate half bathroom. You will have more than enough towels and linens. Another great feature of this top floor unit is the private patio deck. This space is perfect for coffee in the morning or drinks in the evening. The entire 1600 square foot unit and private patio deck with furniture will be accessible to guests. This is not a shared unit. Guests will check in via lock-box/Keypad which is very convenient and user friendly. We are easily accessible via instant message on airbnb. For emergencies please do not hesitate to call or text us! Located a mere three miles directly south of downtown Chicago, North Kenwood is a neighborhood within the Kenwood community. Its boundaries are Lake Michigan shoreline to the east, South Drexel Boulevard to the west, East 47th Street to the south and 43rd Street on the north. It is one of Chicago's landmark neighborhoods. There is ample free street parking surrounding the location. Public transportation is extensive and shared with its neighbor to the south, Hyde Park. There is convenient access to both a number of bus lines (2 Hyde Park Express, 6 Jackson Park Express, and 4 Cottage Grove are just a few) and 47th Street Metra, all of which connect to downtown. Lake Shore Drive is a mere few minutes away to the east and there’s the Dan Ryan Expressway to the west for those opting for travel by car. Rideshare services such as Uber and Lyft are also easily accessible. The Penthouse is located within a residential unit. We ask that you pull the exterior doors/gates shut when coming and going, and keep noise down when going through the hallway.
