Enjoy mountain life at the Blue Moon Cottage. Our place is small yet cozy, with everything you need to escape from the stress of everyday life. Feeling hot or cold? Soak up the sun or moonlight while showering in the seasonal outdoor shower that features both hot and cold water! Tired? Take a nap in our hammock! Sit beside our gas fire pit while gazing over the mountains. Hungry? Cook some meals on our BBQ grill! Have some family fun by going whitewater rafting at the Ocoee River (20 min away) or enjoy all the hiking trails and waterfalls that Cherokee National Forest has to offer. Murphy downtown is 25 min away where you can go antique shopping and savor a delicious meal. The quaint little town of Blue Ridge is 35 min away, where you and your family can take the Scenic Railway or tour Mercier Orchards.

The Space: Our home is tucked away on Hideaway Mountain, featuring brand new decks for overall enjoyment of the beautiful nature surrounding us.

When you open the front door you will immediately be blown away by our “million dollar” view. The entrance hallway will have cushions and rugs for you to enjoy listening to some vintage records, as well as a high countertop to sip your morning coffee or tea overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains. Under the record player you will find a variety of board games for a family fun night.

Next is our living room which has a gas stone fireplace that features a timer to make it easier not to forget you have turned it on! Our couch, although it is not a sleeper sofa, is big enough to sleep 1 or 2 kids.

Next is the recently upgraded kitchen equipped with everything you might need to cook some delicious meals. You will also find a dining room table that has been refinished for your enjoyment.

Need to do some laundry? You will find our washer and dryer in the laundry area.

Our two bedrooms are next, with spacious closets, as well as remote control ceiling fans. One bedroom has a King and one has a queen size bed. Both bedroom’s TVs have a Fire Stick so that you can enjoy watching your favorite movies and shows.

The cabin has central heating and air for your comfort.

Outside the house you will also find a fire pit, to make s’mores or simply gather around with your family to tell some scary stories at night or enjoy the hot tub with a privacy fence.

On our lower deck there is a double papasan and adirondack chairs to enjoy a nice thunderstorm or the moon and stars in the evenings.

This is a pet friendly cabin and there is a $50 pet fee that will be added to your stay if you bring a pet. Please let us know your intention on bringing a pet in advanced.

You will be required to sign a contract and provide a copy of your drivers license.

*Any stays over 28 days will incur additional cleaning fees.
