Sea Crest - 1BR/1.5BA with Loft - Great Location!
Sea Crest Surf & Racquet Club is a nice property for families or couples, in arguably one of the best locations on HHI, within walking distance to restaurants and shopping in and around Coligny Circle.
Access to 3 Swimming Pools, an outdoor Hot Tub, 2 Tennis Courts with Pickle Ball, and a coin operated Laundromat.
Guests have access to the 3rd pool & deck overlooking the Beach. Here you will find a junior Olympic size Pool, Kiddie Pool, and Pool Bar Jimâs with drinks, food, and Restrooms.
THE SPACE
If you want a nice, comfortable, recently upgraded unit in a great location, within a block or two of the Beach, as well as being across the street from all the stores and dining options located in Coligny Plaza, then Sea Crest may be a good choice for you. You can almost park your car for the week and walk everywhere from here.
This is a 1BR/1.5BA Loft unit located on the 5th floor, with extra high ceilings. Kitchen area is not especially large but it is fully equipped with Full size Refrigerator, Stove / Oven, Dishwasher, Microwave, Toaster, Blender, etc. It provides pretty much everything you need to prepare a meal or whip up a snack.
The Living Room has a Queen Sleeper sofa, and there is an outdoor balcony with side table and chairs that overlooks the property. Main Bedroom has a Queen size bed. Loft bedroom area is a good size with 2 Twin beds, Table and TV and is open to lower level. In addition to the main full bathroom, there is another half bath. Both bathrooms are on the lower level.
There are 2 pools and a Hot Tub on the property for your use, along with a Hot tub, and you also have access to a 3rd Oceanfront pool across the street w/ Pool bar (Pool Bar Jim's). One of the pools onsite is heated.
There is a courtyard area with Shuffleboard, BBQ Grills (2 Gas and 2 Charcoal), Picnic Tables, a new Gazebo, Cornhole & a Playground for smaller children. On site there is also an activity center where books, games and various other items can be signed out.
UNIT INTERIORS
Since this property was originally constructed in the 1980's, I would not necessarily call this a "luxurious" resort. However, you will find most unit interiors are clean and comfortable but a little dated. Hopefully the photos provided give you a general understanding for what I am describing.
The benefits offered by staying at this resort includes being in a great location within walking distance to all the shopping and restaurants in Coligny Circle. You will also be a short walk to easy and convenient beach access and you also have access to a large Oceanfront pool with Pool Bar serving drinks and pub fare (see photos section for location of Oceanfront pool relative to main Sea Crest property).
This unit also offers accommodations at a price point that offers good value for a family friendly budget. Many families enjoy their annual vacations at this property, however if you are a traveler that requires luxury accommodations, this may not be the right choice for you. If you have any specific questions on this please don't hesitate to ask.
GUEST ACCESS
This is a Resort Hotel property. So Guests will have their own private unit, but resort amenities (Pools, Hot Tubs, Tennis Courts, Grills, etc) will be shared with other guests.
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE
- Primary Guest checking in must be at least 21 years of age with a valid ID and credit card for security deposit. Unfortunately, there are no exceptions to this minimum age requirement for the primary Guest who will be checking in.
- Any security deposit will be returned to you after Check Out if you have not made any charges to your room. But please note your Credit Card will be charged $25 for any lost room keys.
- Sea Crest Surf and Racquet Club complex is professionally managed. The Front Desk is staffed for Check-In, Check-Out, and is available for any questions, issues, or need for assistance. They are there to help so please donât hesitate to contact them during your stay.
- There is 1 FREE parking spot that comes with this unit (at no additional cost).
- If you need extra parking for an additional vehicle, you can arrange this directly with the Front Desk. The first option for extra parking is the Overflow Lot near the Tennis Court, but this is on First Come / First Serve basis. If the Overflow Lot is full, then you may be forced to try and find public parking in the Coligny Circle area. This only applies to extra parking beyond the 1 FREE parking pass.
- Bedding linens, blankets, pillows are provided, as are bath towels. However, if you need additional items for bedding, pillows, or blankets / comforters during your stay, please bring your own, as the Front Desk may NOT be able to provide extra bedding or pillows. Although basic bedding linens, blankets, and pillows are provided, I highly recommend you bring some of your own if your family members have their own favorite pillows or blankets.
- If you plan on using the Sleeper sofa during your stay, I do personally recommend (if possible) bringing sheets, blankets, pillows, maybe even a mattress pad for the Sleeper sofa specifically, which can be turned into a very comfortable extra bed. However, if you do not bring your own the Front Desk can and does provide linens and blankets for the Sleeper Sofa.
- If you or your family owns and likes larger beach towels, I recommend bringing them, along with any other beach blankets / chairs / umbrellas / equipment you want at the beach. If you donât bring your own beach chairs, umbrellas, equipment, etc you can rent them on Hilton Head Island.
- Toilet paper, trash bags, Soap for the Dishwasher, etc are all provided. If you need more during your stay you can contact the Front Desk and they can provide them.
- The property does NOT provide Paper Towels or Dish Soap for the sink.
You will need to bring your own. There are many stores conveniently located within a few minutes from the facility if you want to shop for any groceries or personal items you want during your stay.
- There is no daily housekeeping provided. However, your unit will have a vacuum, broom, and dustpan to use if you wanted it. A coin operated Laundry with Washers and Dryers are also available in a utility room on the property. Current fees are $2 per Washer / Dryer Load.
- If you do not want to wash your own Bath towels during the week, you can schedule a Towel Exchange with the Front Desk for $5. If you want your Linens exchanged during the week, and do not want to wash your own, you can schedule a Linen Exchange with the Front Desk for $10.
- There are 2 Gas and 2 Charcoal grills on the property for Guest use. These are located in the shared Courtyard.
