It is disappointing that this guest chose to leave a review that is not in line with other reviews left for #21. The photos were recently updated to reflect some furniture changes made by the owner. In addition, the unit is professionally cleaned after each occupancy. The used linens & towels are removed after each stay and freshly laundered ones are brought in for the next guest. In addition, the unit is inspected by a member of the Seashore Vacations staff to ensure that the cleaning was performed properly and also to make sure everything is in good working order (TVs, Remotes, Light Switches and more). The owners of #21 take pride in their unit and we are proud to represent them on our short term rental market. Maybe this unit is just not a good fit for this guest.

We are disappointed to hear you were not satisfied with your stay or our service. We have been very short staffed recently... However, we always give multiple forms of communication to reach out to us. We manage nearly 170 properties on the south end of Hilton Head, all which we advertise on VRBO, and sometimes messages get lost because of how many we receive. We make sure to provide our phone number and our company wide email address for guests to reach out to and we state at check-in that these two options are the best way to get in touch with us. However, we apologize we missed your message on VRBO. We did call the regime that manages the property that you were staying at and they informed us that they would send pest control out the next day. We are unsure why they did not show up, but will make sure to reach out again and schedule an extra spraying for the unit. Unfortunately, roaches are very common on the island and all over the coast of South Carolina. They are usually harmless and we try our best to prevent them with routine pest control. But because of the warm climate, it is almost impossible to prevent a few roaches here and there from entering the properties. As for the mouse in the service yard, we apologize that you found this pest and will set up traps in the service yard to prevent future mice activity. The mice activity on South Forest Beach stems from the recent construction of the Celebration Park a few blocks away. When they built the park, it stirred up the mice population and they fled to the surrounding properties. We have worked with the homeowner associations and the local pest control companies to ensure that the easy access points are blocked off. While we have been able to successfully prevent mice from entering the interior in our units, we cannot prevent them from being outside on the property. Again, we apologize for the issues you experienced and our communication issues but ensure that we are and have been working on these few issues that you experienced regarding pests at the property.
