Port A Escape

I rented Moon Song for the holiday weekend for my son and some of his friends. The boys loved the room they shared and the other rooms upstairs were great. Excellent location.

It was wonderful! Perfect size for our week getaway!

This house was great! My only complaint is there should have been more towels, trash bags, and other kitchen items. That would be helpful. However was such a fantastic place to stay!

Absolutely beautiful

The pictures online don’t do this property justice. The home was beautiful and had plenty of space for all of us to spread out and not feel like we were on top of each other. It is also centrally located which we loved as we had other family in town. We will definitely be back and rent here again.

Great place to stay!

This rental is in a great location and perfect for a family with kids. Would rent again! The only thing that was different than the listing is the picture with a balcony (front of place) is actually a private apartment with someone living there (not related to Vrbo). They didn’t bother us at all though so it was almost like they weren’t there.

Annual Port A Family Trip

Overall, we had a great stay. The house was clean and it was easy to check-in. We had some difficulty connecting to WiFi, but I was able to remedy the situation. The beds and pillows were a bit uncomfortable, but if you like a firm bed then it may be just right for you. One of the bathroom showers upstairs didn’t have a film or curtains which allowed for some great light, but when taking showers you were totally exposed.

Perfect for a Girl’s Trip with 5 Teens

We loved this house! Everything was clean upon our arrival. The double bunk beds were perfect for my teenage daughter and her four friends. We had a total of 8 people in our group and we had plenty of space. We appreciated the variety of games available. Maintenance came within 20 minutes to address an issue with lack of electricity in an upstairs bedroom. This house had a variety of pots, pans, baking sheets and cooking utensils to make meals.

We rented golfcarts and the shops, grocery, restaurants and beach are all close. We had one issue with the water and the property management responded very quickly to address the issue. My only negative comment is that the beds are too hard. We are used to sleeping on pillow top mattresses and these beds are very firm. Other than that, we loved it!

Love this property, but....

We have stayed here several times. The location, the interior, the accessories, are all 5 star. The past two times we have stayed, it was not clean. The previous time there were several hairs in the bed and bathroom. This time there were dead roaches every where. You could tell pest control just came, but then you can tell no walked it before we checked in. We also woke up day 2 to find all of our food that was in the pantry and on the bar, covered in sugar ants. We had to throw so much out.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: What a fantastic stay! This home is a 5 minute drive to just about everything. It is right in the center of town in a nice neighborhood. All the best restaurants are just minutes away. We had a 22' boat and were able to park in the driveway with electrical connections to charge the batteries. We brought bicycles to ride around, but it's also great to have one of the many rental golf carts available close by. The home itself is like new. It has a huge kitchen and a spacious dining table. The living area has a large TV and comfy chairs and sofa. We loved the beds in our large room. It was very quiet at night and did not notice any outside sounds. The room was large with plenty of dresser and closet storage. The bathroom was super clean and comfortable. The other room upstairs looked just the same. The 3rd bedroom downstairs with the bunks over the double beds was a hit. We will definitely be back!

Great place, terrible check-in

This is a pretty nice house and our group was comfortable there. My husband and his crew sailed our boat from Galveston for the Harvest Moon Regatta and I drove down from Houston to meet them. There was plenty of room for the crew to shower, rest, and relax and we even picked up two more people who needed a place to stay. I was happy when I got a text around 1:30pm that my place was ready and I could check in early! However, the text had the wrong street address and of course I could not get in the door with the code that was provided. I called the property management agency and they reset the door code but since I was at the wrong house of course it didn't work. I called again and that's when they realized they had sent me to the wrong house. Once I got to the right house, the code worked. We did have an issue with the landscaping but it was rectified quickly. The palm plants lining the driveway were overgrown and scraped the sides of my car when I was pulling in and out. I called and the maintenance crew came out right away and trimmed them. We liked the location of this house close to the marina. Not sure I would stay there again because I prefer a house with a view, but it was economical when we all split it and a good time was had by all.

It's an awesome location within walking distance to some great shopping and restaurants, while being on a nice, quiet street. The house was super clean, had everything we needed, and far exceeded our expectations. We take our kayaks and it was nice to have a long driveway to accomodate the trailer. The communication with the management company was just the right amount. We're looking forward to staying at Moon Song again soon!
