Lovely apartment in the heart of Munich: newly renowned remodeled!

This lovely two room apartment with 84 m2 (900 sq. ft.) is ideal for one to four guests visiting Munich for work or pleasure. Walking distance to Sendlinger tor and Marienplatz. New to VRBO, though not new to sharing our Munich apartment with guests from around the world. We have recently (April 2024) renovated the apartment walls, so the mold and excessive humidity you have read in the reviews is not an issue anymore!
It may still get humid during the summer, so I would not recommend guests with asthma or lung problems to book our place!

This apartment had a very comfortable bed. Nice bathroom. Was very quiet. We felt very safe. Walkable to bus/train/market.

The flat is absolutely amazing. From what I understand about urban living in Munich, this place is nearly palacial in size. The flat is clean and airy and welcoming.The hosts were easy to communicate with when needed and super responsive. I definitely recommend a stay at this place when you're in Munich! I know that we will stay here again on our next trip.

Great Munich Apartment

This was a wonderful little apartment within walking distance to public transportation and Marienplatz. There was also a great little grocery store nearby. The apartment had everything we needed for our stay: coffee maker, tea kettle, small kitchen, WiFi, and washer/dryer. The host was always prompt and easy to communicate with.

We were not aware that this property was in the basement. There was a musty smell and I woke up with swollen eyes every morning from the mold. The humidifier was broken so it was not too much of a help. The apartment was clean, but new linens need to be bought as there were stains on all of the linens and bedding, but everything was very clean. I would suggest that the owner invest back into the property and purchase new linens and a humidifier. It would have been a nicer experience if the humidifier was working.

The apartment was in a good location. It was not very clean. Used soaps in a dish and used tea towel hanging up. Oven and trays dirty. Good sized fridge. King sized bed and spacious.

Great location, large apartment. Well equipped kitchen. Rooms are below grade, so not too bright. We had bad luck with the intermittent heating system, so could not get comfortable. Really need full heat to drive off the dampness. Renovated bathroom and comfy lounging area.

This was a very large flat with tons of space. Close enough to many sights, but still not in the busy part of the touristy area. Space was functional but not luxurious, which is all we needed.

Location was perfect, being close to the major transport links and within walking distance of some brilliant parts of the city. The neighbourhood was vibrant and cool, with some fantastic restaurants, bars and shops. There are some easily-fixed drawbacks to the apartment however; pillows, bedding, towels and curtains all need replacing, to come up to the standard of the rest of the apartment and to justify the price. Basic things that would make a huge difference. Nonetheless, the apartment itself is very spacious and secure, and the bathroom is new and clean.

Very spacious, main bedroom extremely large and nice area to just chill in. Church bells every half hour and the early morning church bell display meant the place wasn’t that quiet. Loved walking through the old cemetery behind the building and looking at the tomb stones.

Great stay in Munich!

The property was located in a really good spot to gain access to the tram line and the entire city. We were able to explore so much off of the location of the property. The property itself had a very easy check-in process and the amenities were good (especially the access to fans in the heat wave passing through.) Thank you for an amazing stay!

This apartment is huge and provides everything you will need for your stay. The location is situated closely to public transport, grocery, and pharmacy. Your hosts are a German-American couple who have been welcoming guests for over 10 years. We love Munich so much that it is only natural to want to share this fantastic city. Our own home is only a few blocks away from this apartment.

When you combine the perfect location with attention to detail, you have a wonderful space in which even the most picky of travellers feels welcome and at home. The Glockenbachviertel was the first neighborhood to be built outside of the city's original wall. The neighborhood has an eclectic mix of young couples, retirees, nuns, artists, designers and families. Restaurants, coffee shops, independent stores, grocery stores, ice cream parlors, chemists/drug stores and cinemas are all at your doorstep. You will love this neighborhood.
